Diane had always done an amazing job on my hair. I have always had very thin, fine hair and went to see her before my wedding almost four years ago for extensions. Since then, I have only gone to her for the service and each time people are amazed at how natural (and amazing) they look. Her instinct as to color is always spot on, and she makes the process so simple. In addition to being excelent at her job, she is amazingly understanding and generous - especially when it comes to handling fragile hair and hair thinning or gone due to illness. Nail technician Sharon D. is the absolute best!! My gel manicure lasted 3 FULL WEEKS without chipping or peeling! I am notoriously rough with my hands so keeping a manicure fresh is an unimaginable task. Well after 21 days, 4 states, 2 camping trips, countless hours of working in kitchen and cleaning- my nails are PERFECT! My nails are also very fragile- they break so easily! After my gel manicure my nails were able to grow out to the longest they've ever been! so impressed! I came back to Sharon today and she remembered exactly how she did my nails last time (I was picky), she remembered our conversation and everything! So sweet and personable. For 13 years I have had all of the services offered at the retreat. It is THE most wonderful salon and spa anywhere. I feel so safe from any of the potential dangers of bacteria, molds etc as they are so clean and neat. The work is beautiful. My hairdresser is the best I have ever had. My nails and toes are so happy! Even my macho hubby is devoted to his pedicures for the past three years. It was a tough job getting him to go and now wild horses would not stop him. I use to live in NOLA and this was literally my retreat. Cindy is amazing and I felt like I was walking into my best friend's home to get my nails done. Every time I visit I go and get my nails and hair done. I moved away 3 years ago to Miami and I can't find any place that can even slightly compare to The Retreat. Read Less
