I had my daughter and 8 friends get gel manicures for her birthday. It was such a wonderful experience. The staff at Lily Nails were amazing! Not only were they kind and very efficient, they took pictures and made the entire event a great experience. And oh yeah, their nails look beautiful and the attention to detail etc was unsurpassed. New to Rochester, I was skeptical about new nail salons. Based on the reviews, I decided to try out Lily's. Without any appointment, they took me in. What a nice surprise. The parking is super convenient and the location is really easy to find. Nice and friendly staff. What really impressed me is that, I have short nails. I have come across some nail technicians complaining about how short the nails are, and making their work hard. This nail technician was very patience and made sure paint wasn't stuck on my skin. I'm not terribly impressed by this place. I booked a reservation for a mani-pedi for my friend and I. We picked our colors and had a nice pedicure. It wasn't anything in depth, and it wasn't anything elaborate. Very simple and bare bones. The manicure wasn't great, if I'm honest. The polish is quite a distance from the cuticle, the gel was applied quite thick, and I had to ask the tech to get the sides of the nails which she missed originally. She didn't ask me how I wanted my nails filed, and just assumed I wanted square. I did like this place, the people were nice, but the service wasn't what I expected. At least it was cheap. I recently had a bad experience at my last nail salon so I had to find a new spot. Thanks to Yelp I found my new favorite place!! They squeezed me in last minute and did an amazing job which is really hard for me because Im really hard to please when it comes to my nails. Unfortunately I forget who did my nails, but she shaped them exactly how I asked, buffed and tripped everything perfectly, and gave me the BEST hand massage I have ever gotten. Color selection was perfect and I really liked the nail setting stations on both sides of your seat- super innovative. My tech did a great job of suggesting colors and patterns, Im all about that little extra and she had the best ideas to make my mani stand out. I go to see them about once a week and have never had anything less than a perfect experience. Get what u pay for 😡 the acrylic was not near my cuticle but farther down, was a very thin layer. 3 nails broke off in 24 hrs😠 after I paid them 25 for a full set and a coat of polish. I will never return again. Was a waste of money and time. Read Less

I got really sick of my regular nail salon and decided to give this place a try. Whereas most of the nail technicians at my old nail salon were rude and avoided talking to me or any of their customers at all costs, the people at Lily Nails Art were awesome! They made conversation with me and made me feel comfortable while I was getting my French tip acrylics done. Plus, they actually took the time to make sure they were even and looked good. This is the first time I've ever had a full set done where my nails wernt sore for days or bleeding from people being too rough. I got in right away and the woman doing my nails was very gentle. I really wanted to like this place. It's right around the corner from my house and $15 for a basic manicure is great! I have been twice now though and I'm wondering if both times I got a newbie? Both times my nail polish chipped off within a few days (I notice they didn't paint the top edge of my nail which really maintains the polish longer). They both tended to file my nails crooked but the second girl did it to the extreme and after a week, when almost all the nails had chipped, I took off the polish and had to laugh at almost all of my crooked nails! I had also asked her to do a simple design I found online but she wasn't able to do it so we had to find another one with just straight lines. Those lines were very crooked indeed, and I kept moving my hand straight, hoping she would notice, but she would just move it back as if my hand placement was the issue. Both times, I was also there for about an hour, which again makes me think I got a newbie, since this normally takes about 30 min in and out. It may be different for other types of nail services but for a simple manicure, I think I'll try somewhere else next time. Read Less

I have been going to the same salon for years for my acrylics and recently became very disappointed in them.  So I looked up new salons and after reading the reviews I decided to give Lily Nails a try. They were extremely accommodating and nice, fit me in the same day. I ended up with a pedicure and a full set and paid a portion of what I used to pay elsewhere. The massage chairs were better than average-- I almost fell asleep during my pedicure because it was so relaxing. My new top spot for an affordable pedicure. Quaint and clean, it's a no nonsense kinda place with a few manicure stations and four pedicure chairs/tubs. They have a good variety of colors - mostly OPI Polish. I went for the classic "Big Apple Red." The pedicure is only $22! So affordable for such a thorough experience. Looking forward to coming back again soon for another relaxing pedicure. The daughter and the father of this family-run spot were the ones who took care of my friend and I. They were wonderful. There's a flat screen tv and they played Food Network so now I have all the summer recipe inspo. Their supply of magazines is robust and they're all current. I haven't had acrylics in about 6 years and I was afraid at first because I wanted coffin shaped nails and not a lot of people know exactly how to do them. I've been here about 10 times. I've gotten acrylic nails, gel manicures, and pedis.  They've got a great selection of Essie, OPI and other nail polishes.The massage chairs are new and clean. Found this place a few months ago and it is hands down a fantastic place, very calm a peaceful. They do a fantastic job and put there customer first. Just went here for the first time and will definitely be coming back again! Grabbed a few cards to give to friends too. Had a gel manicure($25).I have seen this place before driving by S Clinton and Goodman multiple times and finally had a reason to go in there. Called late in the afternoon and was able to make an appointment for just a few hours later.Upon walking in I was pleasantly surprised that there was no stale chemical smell as is common in many nail salons. I picked my polish color and waited as Lily finished with another customer. The atmosphere is calm and serene as the water fountain flows in the corner.
