I've gone many times. The actual people that provide the service are not the reason for my rating. once I made an appt. for a mani and pedi on a Friday for a wedding that evening. They couldn't find me on the computer. They asked if I made a mistake and booked for N.Y.C. spa! I said, no. Their response was we are very busy I don't know how we'll get you in. I responded you will get me in this is your mistake! They did manage it but, acted like they were doing me a favor! Another appt. recently booked a hot stone massage for my husband and myself also along with a manicure. Once again, I was told, we don't have you down for a manicure. I expressed that I did in deed book for it. They said they were busy and couldn't do it but could squeeze me in for a polish change or to down grade to a regular pedicure. Reluctantly I down graded but told them how disappointed I was. I expressed to them that I should be compensated for their mistake and informed them of my prior experience. She gave me a 10% discount. Big whoop! I am a self employed owner operator of a salon. This was a gift certificate given to me. I would never treat my customers in such a aloof manner and would have complimented them with the service free of charge. I recommend that you confirm at least 3 or 4 times at the time of booking and get the name of the person booking your service. I intend to use the balance of my certificate on purchasing a product. Also, im glad I down graded on the pedicure hot stone.... not worth the money at all. It's maybe an added 3 min massage and paraffin. Good luck! Read Less

Let's just say I have had way better pedicures elsewhere. The nail room was so cramped there wasn't even room to take my shoes off and hang a coat. It also was about 90 degrees and completely uncomfortable! The pedicure says it is 45 mins but is more like 25. I felt rushed through the whole thing. She only massaged me for about 2 mins. And then I wasn't even allowed to sit and wait for my toes to dry since she had someone else coming in. NOT a heavenly spa experience and I will not be returning. Read Less

We recently had a large bachelorette party there and everyone had nothing but great things to say about their services.  Ellen was very helpful when planning out logistics and we were able to get all 15 girls into services in 4 hours - impressive!  We rented out a room so we could all stay together while waiting for our services and we were also able to bring in our catered lunch.  Complimentary champagne was a nice surprise!  Highly recommend. Had another wonderful experience at Haven Spa. I booked three services (90 minute deep Swedish, 30 min reflexology, and a body scrub) and it went flawlessly. I highly recommend Tara for massage. She was able to tell that I had recently been sick and had hip pain just from the reflexology alone. I also went as a client who needed special accommodations because I am weaning from nursing and they were able to provide extra pillows/support so I could still lay on my stomach as well as work in 15 minutes if I needed to pump. I received a gift certificate from my boyfriend and had to use, first time going here today even though I live in rhinebeck.  I signed up for the manicure, shellac. The staff are very nice and the setting is very relaxing. However for a 45 minute gel manicure, the outcome is less than desired. There are lumps in three nails only noticing my thumb while in the seat. I mentioned it looked messed up to which I was told the top coat usually evens it out. It did not even out and stepping into the daylight after my appointment, terribly disappointed, my pinky and ring finger nail have even worse bumps, nail Polish raised , almost as if the gel didn't cure correctly (see pics). I've done better gel manicures at home. Obviously something happened in the process and nothing was said to me by the manicurist. Manicures and gel nail Polish are not their strong suit, wouldn't go back for the service. $45 for this, no way. Read Less

You could not ask for a better experience from start to finish than the one you will receive at Haven Spa. I wanted to surprise me girlfriend with an afternoon of massages and scrubs and after doing much research Haven emerged as the overwhelming best option. They were incredibly accommodating when I called to ask question after question about the different packages...they even arranged to have a glass of champagne waiting for us both in between our massage and scrub. This spa is amazing! I came here today with a group of girls, I'm a bridesmaid for my friends wedding tomorrow so we planned to come here to relax and beautify! The ladies that work here are all so friendly and welcoming. I got the BEST massage ever by Nancy. She was very detailed, caring and talented. She paid attention to my needs. My jobs are very physical and take a toll on my body-her massage was very therapeutic while also relaxing. Seriously the best massage ever. I love Haven Spa! It's not cheap but it is a quality spa with skilled and friendly professionals. I took my mom to Rhinebeck, NY for the day and the spa is conveniently located right in the middle of town next to many adorable shops and trendy restaurants. It was the perfect day! I made an appointment for myself and 2 girlfriends for pedicures. We were really looking forward to a actual spa pedicure and not the typical nail salon. We got there and were very rudely greeted by the receptionist telling us "since whoever Made the appointment had to rush off the phone I never got the phone number and we only have 1 tech available today so we can't do all 3 at once and I had no way to contact you" well, my one girlfriend actually called a few days before to... schedule an add on to the appointment so they could have easily mentioned it then also we asked if there was any other service they can do and she said no. I have heard such great things about this spa, I am really disappointed. They should have never blamed it on the customer, regardless if I had to rush off the phone, She should have asked for a number. This review is for a Brazilian wax. Cannot speak to their other services. I was NOT pleased with my results. First they charge around $15 more than most places offering Brazilians. The woman who did my wax did not listen to my shape request and instead left me with a very strange, messy looking hairline (does not look like a professional job). She also did not press on the skin after pulling up wax strips as is common to reduce pain and stinging. The worst though, I currently have SCABBING from being waxed in the same area multiple times and the wax being too hot. That is not something that I have ever experienced after a Brazilian and I do not think is acceptable. The decor inside was very nice and the only reason for the review not being 1 star. Read Less

Everyone that works there is super professional and makes you feel at home right away. I called for a same day appoinment and received a massage that was at best perfunctory.  Don't recall her name but she was super hurried and it was really hard to enjoy.  I prefer that a massage practicioner breathe and slowly connect mind/body/spirit.  I definitely didn't get that.I shared the feedback with the front desk who helpfully told me that she knew someone who would be appropriate.  Bottom line if you're ok with an assembly line massage you can get that here.  But if you want a deeper experience with more care and attention you might want to specifically ask for that when you call or consider another provider. I come to Haven for my eyelash extensions.   One of the only places around that does them and their prices are the best!  Jenna is AWESOME.  She makes them look natural but still noticeable.... The massage was very nice, but the facility is cramped and the policies are not customer-friendly. The first time I came here I had a bad experience (they wouldn't let me use a gift card because it was 13 months since it had been bought and they "expire" after 12 months.) I'd been saving it for a special occasion only to have it be worth nothing. This time I was hoping I'd have a better experience. I had a 10% off certificate and came in with my husband for a couples massage. They would only let me use the certificate on ONE of us which barely saved us anything. Also, there was barely anywhere to sit and wait (the waiting area is small and not just for robe-wearing guests, which is a bit awkward). There are no lockers so you have to put all of your clothes into a zippered bag which gets carried around - just weird. I won't be returning. Read Less

I recently visited Haven Spa for my friend's bridal party and was pleasantly surprised by this little gem in Rhinebeck. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by a warm and attentive staff and peaceful surroundings. My massage was unbelievably relaxing, followed by a sublime facial. In between services, we were able to mingle with a glass of champagne. I was happy that Haven Spa helped me make my friend's wedding weekend a special one. I look forward to visiting again soon. Haven was the first spa I ever visited, and it set the bar pretty high for my later experiences.  Clean, quiet treatment rooms, friendly and experienced staff, and reasonable pricing (at least compared to other high-end day spas).  I can't speak to the waxing or scrubs, but the massages and mani/pedi services are great.  The only real downside is the lack of accessory facilities - no saunas, steam rooms, or showers.All that said, I think my favorite thing about Haven might be the big red bow they tie around the entire building during winter.  Combined with Rhinebeck's Christmas light-lined streets?  Too cute to be allowed.
