I got an acrylic set here started falling off within the week, the manager was very rude and when spoke to on the phone he said he "would give half the money back" and I went on to say first off you will give me all my money back including tip because I will not pay for something that was not done correctly that fell off, nails were hurting me bc they were too big and there were paint streaks and bubbles in almost all of them and plus on top when i walked in even though I said I was coming I had to wait, the lady didn't even take the acrylics off correctly! worst nail salon to ever exist save your time and money for something better! Everytime I call for a filling they always reject me because they do not have a nail technician to do my nails. This has happened to me multiple times about 5 times in the past year. I use to love going to this nail salon because they offer great service but not anymore. I can never get my nails done or the service I need. This used to be one of my favorite salons. Never used to be busy and nail techs were really good. I stopped coming here because I noticed that within 3 days my gel would begin to crack. I decided to go back after a year or more thinking that wouldn't be the case anymore. Well, I thought wrong. The same thing happened. Within a few days, my gel began to peel off. The edges started to lift, and of course the gel began to crack. Not sure what's causing this but I been to many salons before and this never happens. I even noticed that the tools were not cleaned or sanitized. I went from one station to another, and the techs used unclean tools on my nails. I've been here twice: once for a regular manicure and once for a gel manicure. None of which I made appointments for and they never had a wait.I got the gel manicure through the Groupon $9 deal. I called right before I came in when they opened on a Sunday morning. An Asian guy answered the phone and to my surprise, he was the only person working when I walked in. He asked me which color and in astonishment he was the one who was going to do my manicure! He looked like the last person who knew how to do a manicure but let me tell you it was very well done. He spent a lot of time and detail and for the price, it was an excellent paint job. He ended up being Chinese because a co-worker came in and they started talking to each other the whole time. It was kind of funny because I don't think they realize I could understand everything they were saying.I came in around 11am on a Wednesday and there was one hispanic lady working at the counter. I didn't have an appointment but she took me anyways. She worked really fast and the manicure looked really nice. I wish I gotten her name because she was amazing. My friend also got a gel manicure from her later that day and she also really liked how her nails came out. I think the owner should hire more workers, there were a lot of unhappy customers who came in and they were told to reschedule or they had to wait when they already had an appointment. Read Less

I have been going there for a while and I bought a Groupon for the first time and they did not let me use it because I'm not a new customer, now I lost $13, I did not get my nails done and on top the man who works there is very rude. He always rushes to do my nails. At first this was my go to nail place but without Hugo this place is horrible. Every time I call the man at the desk tells me they are too busy to take me yet I walk by and the place is empty. The place is NOT clean at all and they are very unprofessional. My friend and I purchased a Groupon. I got the gel mani and she got the UV tips. It was a little hard to make a reservation through the Groupon app but I ended up calling them, which was way faster. When we arrived, there was no customers. We were seated directly behind each other, which was a bummer. It would've been that much better if we were able to sit next to each other. I picked out my color and the guy who did my nails was very efficient. I was so surprised by how careful and thorough he was when it came to cutting my cuticles. He also shaped my nails just the way I wanted them. The final result came out perfectly. Since I finished early, I sat next to my friend who was getting her UV tips. She found a picture on Pinterest and asked the lady if she can do it. There were jewels on one of the fingers, and when she put them on, she made sure that my friend was content with how they looked.Overall, I had a great experience here. Read Less

I'd like to start off by saying that I never leave reviews and simply use Yelp to navigate my next foodie adventure but my experience at this AWFUL establishment has changed that. I bought a Groupon for a gel manicure for $12 which seemed like a great deal.The place was empty and had only two people working, one of which was clearly not happy to be there, and lucky me had the pleasure of getting my first gel manicure from him. The salon itself was a good size but the equipment did not seem clean. Towards the middle, I noticed that the sides of my nails were not covered at all and requested that it be painted. He responded with something about the nail polish being shaken? I don't know what that meant but I do know that I had every right to have my full nail serviced. So after asking him again to make sure it's painted, he said he couldn't do it because he would have to paint it immediately to build up the color. Not understanding why this was impossible, I asked, ".. so the sides are just not gonna be painted?" He simply replied "yeah". It gets worse.Since there was a total of three customers, including myself, with only two workers to accommodate, I guess the pressure was on, which led him to gossip about me to the other worker in Mandarin. Not sure why he would even risk this since I obviously look Asian and I actually do understand Mandarin. He was saying how I was annoying him because I wanted the whole nail to be covered (what a ridiculous request right??). He even said that he doesn't care if I ask for a refund (which I didn't) because he can't deal with me anymore. In the end, I left the salon leaving a two dollar tip which, in hindsight, was probably too generous given the horrendous experience. My manicure was sloppy - there was even paint outside the nail!! If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I would never step foot in this salon ever again and I strongly advise everyone to stay away. Read Less

I bought a Groupon for gel tips from Breezy and I visited the shop on July 27, 2017. I made reservations for the gel tips and a spa pedicure for the above date but when I got there they only had a reservation for the spa pedicure. I showed the charge person my reservation for the day so he hesitantly honored it. The spa pedicure was great however, the gel tips polish started coming off the next day along with a few nails. I would like to first say that I liked my nail tech, Gaby. I visited the shop on Monday July 17th, returned Thursday July 20th to fix three nails which were broken, lifting and cracking. Now in sections...Atmosphere: run down shop. Nothing to look at. Typical cheap Asian nail salon. Phones are answered pretty rudely. I did not see any of the complementary items that were advertised. Prices: if I had not bought a Groupon and paid the $50 for the full UV Gel set with Tips, I would be upset. Well more upset than I already am. There is a chart with the appropriate tip amount per service. Some high quality nail polishes to choose from and others are of the $.99 variety. Value of service: No cuticle work, just filling done with a drill. This left the tell tale rings around my cuticle. I can bet on weak, broken nails when it grows out. The little massage as your nails are dying is lovely, reminiscent of higher quality shops. My tech didn't chat too much and appologized if she needed to use her phone. As I already stated.... I like her. I was so happy with the beginning result and contemplated actually paying $30 for a uv gel fill. But now not so much. I personally loved breezy in the beginning, however now without Hugo they don't care about anything, there's no more music when you walk in it's dead silent, they don't clean and they rush every customer and do a not so decent job and they have cancelled my appointment 4 times bc the "acrylic" lady called out sick and they cancel my appointment the day of all the time I work all the time so I plan my time accordingly. Awesome nail salon with full service of nails, skin care, and body work (massage). Very clean and relaxing and employees are friendly. There is a large selection of nail polish to choose from. Even though they are more typically busy than your average nail place (which speaks to their popularity), they still find ways to accommodate walk ins in a timely fashion. In an unusual location but probably one of the best nail salons, if not the best in the Jamaica area. Hugo, the owner does a great job of running the business. Not going back to my old salon!
