Went to this place for the first time despite so many negative reviews...I should have listened to said reviews.. I went to my appointment on Wednesday. It is now Saturday and I have already lost a nail. I work at a desk all day, not heavy labor or anything that could potentially damage my acrylics. It just popped right off. My moms gel manicure came out great however my full set came out horrible. I asked for a full set with pink powder & somewhat narrow square shaped nails, yet I got wide uneven looking acrylics (I had to refile once I got home) On top of that the nail tech gave me an attitude when I asked her to fix a few things that I wasn't happy with, which made the experience even worse. I was a bit skeptical when another woman there was unhappy bc she felt rushed but still I decided to give it a shot. I found out about this salon a few months ago, and I love it! Friendly staff, fast service, and they do a great job. They are all very personable and make you feel at ease. Although, they do make you feel rushed at times to pick a color, the location isn't too great, and it depends on the person you get, but you can't beat the price for the work that is done! I went there for the first time for a pedicure and a gel manicure and was impressed by the cleanliness of the salon. I didn't have to wait long and will definitely be going back. I just wish they used disposable liners in the pedicure tubs like some other salons use. All salons should have to use them. Read Less

Mixed review! I called ahead for an appointment for a gel fill, with colored gel polish, and gel pedicure with Nana, as per her stellar reviews on Yelp. I was told she was pregnant and not taking clients, yet while being serviced she took someone. So that left a bad taste in my mouth. I am so done with this place. The parking was convenient but this place is going down hill. It's nice inside but as i've been coming here, been starting to notice it's not that clean.... The first SNS manicure i got was okay .. it was uneven on some fingers and kind of thick. I came here to get the same manicure done.. i called ahead and made an appt. I walk in and it's busy, 1 person sitting on the couch waiting for a pedicure and every other employee was working on someone. So i get that it's busy so the girl that's working on my nails has to stop and answer the phone at the same time. (rolling my eyes)She rushed me to pick my color out. Kept trying to grab my hand to start filing... can you just wait a second? As she was filing and buffing.. i was staring at the color i picked and decided i wanted to change it. This annoyed her.. after that she started working on my cuticles.. i didn't see where she got the tool from initially but when she was done i realized she recapped the cuticle clipper in a nasty plastic cover and stuck it back in her basket. I WAS SOO GROSSED OUT!i wasn't paying attention !! Those tools should come fresh out of the sterilizer and go back in after. Not obviously reused. Overall my SNS was rushed, very uneven and sloppy.. I really wanted to like this place... it appears to be very clean and has a more stylish interior than most nail salons around here, with a large selection of polishes. A little more expensive than the other local salons but thought it could be worth it. My first visit was fine enough for me to return, but certainly I won't be going back again. I went in for a mani/pedi and got the male (either owner or manager) who sits up front at the first station. He didn't use oil when cutting my cuticles and seemed to skip a few other steps along the way but that wasn't even the biggest issue... Only a few hours after leaving the salon, the polish was already showing those annoying hairline cracks that usually show up if the polish is too thin/thick or sometimes if you put another clear coat on later in the week. I went back the next morning (with a polish of my own) to have them simply re-polish my finger nails and toes since they looked terrible not even a full 24 hours later. The same guy said I would have to pay $7 for a polish change... (it's $7 for a full manicure down the street at Professional Nails) I didn't even let them tell me how much they'd be asking for the toes to be fixed because there was no way I was paying them again. They said if I wanted to change the color I'd have to pay but if they just fixed a couple of nails with the same (crappy) polish it would be no charge. Whether it was the polish or the tech's poor application, they should have been happy to fix ALL of the nails with whatever color I wanted. This is just plain bad business. Don't recommend this salon. I always seem to get an inexperienced person. Last time I asked for "powder" gel manicure. I got a gel....half way thru he realized what I wanted. No time to start over. This time got another inexperienced person. I told the manager/owner that the job was terrible and she said "next time I will do for free." This place is great, it's clean and the technicians are very personable. They do wonderful pedicures, when I'm done I feel renewed. Im new in the neighborhood do I decided to try this place, since is the closest one to my house. Nana was my nail girl and she was amazing. Took a little more than I am used too, but at the end i was really happy with the fabulous job. No wonder! I choose acrylic nails. At the end there was a little tiny broken tip nail. I didnt even care, but Nana took her time to make all my nails square and even. I know thats the way it should be, but i had experiences in another places that dont care if there is a lil bit of difference. She was quick with the polish and I dont remember the last time that I was so satisfied with a manicure. I wanted to find a place closer to home so First time coming in for pedicure and it was ok average. The tools look like they use the same for everyone so I worry about cleanliness. This place is great!  There is usually a 20 minute wait so I suggest calling ahead.  I've been getting the ANC polish which is a colored powder.  My nails are so healthy and strong!  It is so much better than the gel polish. Read Less

New to the area and was looking for a new manicurist. Decided to give this salon a shot based on the amazing Yelp reviews. Unfortunately it seems the patrons get membership points towards store credit for writing reviews which explains how this place could possibly rate so well. The salon itself appears nice but the tools are not sanitized (thrown into a machine that sanitizes but is not even plugged in), they are not thorough with manicure cleanup, and I was cut during my pedicure. Asked for square nails and now have trapezoids for toe nails . Good thing they grow back. Not sure if it was this particular technician but either way I will not be returning. Read Less

Amazing spa pedicure and love my gel powder nails! I went in wanting a full set of acrylic nails and Nana convinced me to try the gel powder as it's healthier for your nails. I was hesitant bc I wanted strong nails that wouldn't break but she asked me to trust her. I'm so happy I did bc I LOVE my nails!!! I didn't feel rushed at all. I got my toes done by Wendy who did a good job but who ever did my hands needs more practice. She was a cute skinny mousy girl who was rushing to get me done and out. I did show up 45 minutes before closing time but I still expected to be treated better. They didn't ask if I wanted to do one of the special pedicures that they had listed on the wall. Instead they just rushed me into the chair and did a basic fast pedicure. It has been not even 24 hours and the Polish is already coming off and I haven't really done much with my hands. Came today with my dad and daughter for 2 pedicures and a polish change. I had the 29 Spa Pedicure with Vincent and it was amazing. For only $35 it seemed like a great deal. You start by soaking your feet in this unique jelly that smells incredible (I had honey cinnamon) and it goes from there with a scrub and callous remover, etc. Massage was 10mins and excellent with just the right amount of pressure and my nails look great. I was so thrilled I decided to get a manicure, which I almost never do - it's probably been years since I've had one. Unfortunately, it will probably be a few more years before I do it again. My finger nails are now all awkwardly shaped and uneven, and he cut my skin with the cuticle cutter. I also paid an extra $5 to have them buffed to a shine but they are no shinier than unmanicured nails. My dad was happy with his pedicure overall but noticed that she didn't do a very good job at cleaning under his nails, and there is still dirt.They did not cut my daughters nails even though I confirmed they would with the polish change.We thought we gave everyone tips so started to leave, when we were stopped because someone wasn't tipped. I was so embarrassed and of course grabbed some cash to give to him...he didn't even say thank you. I was quite put off by that.Overall it was a good experience, with maybe some training needed. I visited 29 Nail & Spa on 7/3/15 and the nail salon had only been open for two weeks! It smelled clean and fresh. Most polishes were still new. The equipment was all in perfect condition - as one would expect. I was already loving the place but let's face it... it's all about service.29 Nail & Spa fully deserves five stars on service! Although the staff was still being trained to make sure they meet the owners standards and provide great customer service, they were all flawless to me. My pedicure was fantastic - the massage was the right pressure, my nails were done perfectly, and I was comfortable the entire time. I should mention that I got the "raspberrry and pomegranate" spa pedicure since I was getting my nails done for my birthday and splurged a bit. Pricing could have been maybe $5 less to be in line with other nail salons I have been to but generally good pricing for pedicures. I would personally like a slightly more rigid or coarse tool for removing callus so it works a bit better but not the end of the world. My feet are still smooth and soft.I get a gel manicure so I absolutely LOVE how the UV lights are within the tables so my hand isn't awkwardly placed on top of a UV dryer when painted (as with some locations I've been to in the past). Wide variety of colors to choose from. Excellent process and good cleaning of my nails. Price was perfect - actually the best I've paid for which was $28. Design is a bit more which I splurged for but they do painted designs and have the glue charms. Great little shoulder/back massage while drying.I also had some waxing done. Also a great job. Pricing good as well. Very clean, quick, and sanitary (which is key!).I look forward to going back again and perhaps making this my new place to always go if they get a frequent customer card or something - I appreciate those so it makes my multiple visits worthwhile.
