Growing up in this town magic nails has always been with out hesitation the only place I’ll going to get my nails/eyebrows done. Although there may be a wait (even for me, someone very close to the family) I always come out extremely pleased with the product. This family is consistently keeping up with their training and always working to better them selves as a salon, attending workshops often to keep up with nail trends. Might be a little biased since this is my families business, but I just wanted to say that my parents do the best that they can with only having themselves and one other worker. They are the most hardworking people I know and they try their best to make their customers happy. I have seen first hand how horrible they are treated by costumers and it is absolutely disgusting. Just because they are not fluent in English does not give people the right to make fun of them. It's just rude. Yes, I agree some people do have to wait a long time, but that's why you have to make an appointment and keep in mind that there are only 3 workers. I also have gone to the other nail salons with my friends and they are nowhere compared to Magic Nails. I ended up getting fungus from one of the nail salons. To conclude, they do a great job. Poor service... me and my mom went here today and they only have 3 people working there. They never look happy and very rude. They not social with their customers. The prices are crazy. So me and my mom was waiting there for like 30 minutes and the lady had to soak my moms nails and this lady came in asking when is she able to get her nails and feet done and they said 3 but the women who was doing my moms nails ditched her to do the womens toes and my mom waited for almost an hour soaking her damn nails. My mom wanted to get it done already because she was hungry and was shaking and so my mom got mad and got up and said we just gonna leave and they told us that we gotta pay them $5... for what ? Sitting? Soaking my moms nails?... unbelievable. My mom told them she not giving him $5 because there was no work done anyways. And he got loud and told us to never ever come back there again.! I got tips with A and C or whatever it's called and I was impressed with the nails but I was disgusted with their costumer service. When I first called to make the appointment the guy who picked up the phone was sooo rude as if be could care less if I used his services or not and when I got their not only was be rude about me actually showing up and getting my nails done, if you didn't answer him in 2 seconds be snapped at you, I mean you couldn't even understand the guy, so how was I supposed to answer when I didn't know what he said. Well now it's time to get them removed and I will say I am not even going back their to get then removed. Went in with my daughters for Mani / Pedis. They took one daughter for a Mani and the other one and I for Pedis. They then took two other people in between and they finished before us. I could see if they had appointments, which they did not. Should have been first come first serve. We will NEVER be back . Read Less

I went into magic nails with a party of 3 all getting mani pedis. They had 1 of us getting a pedicure, myself getting a manicure, and the last one sitting and waiting. They kept taking new people who walked through the door instead of the person sitting. Then after the pedicure they took another person who had gotten there after us, instead of starting the manicure. Never once aplogized about the wait. I never even got a pedicure because i was so disgusted with their staff's customer service. There are PLENTY of better Nail salons in oneonta to go to. Read Less

It depends on what you're looking as a customer. If you want fast, professionally painted nails then I would suggest you visit. HOWEVER, if you are looking for a relaxing, enjoyable time with detail given to your nails you may want to look elsewhere. I believe my nails could've used one more coat of paint and there was NO exfoliation or massage treatment. They are clean and professional though could use a bit more effort. Read Less

Horrible. I waited TWO hours to be called by a nail technician and I still wasn't called. I ended up leaving and went to WiWi nails. People who walked in after me without appointments were being called before me. Also, a friend received Acrylic nails from Magic Nails and her nails got infected. There was 3 workers there. Best acrylic nails in town so far! Ive been all over oneonta and Norwich and these guys are the best so far. When I first moved here a year ago every person I seen with great nails I asked "where did you get them done?" and they all answered Magic Nails! So I had to try it and I am so gld I did. When college is in town I reccomend calling and making an appt. because they are so good they get packed!! Without an appt the wait can be very long.....but it was definatley worth it.
