The pictures are a few hours after the manicular and then 10 hours after. I am very disappointed. I honestly wasted $40+ on this nailcare/manicure. And I felt obliged to leave a tip, even though the work itself is mediocre. The fresh manicure had dead skin around the cuticles and looked like it had been growing out for already 4-5 days (because the nail polish was not applied well). The 2-week gel polish was taking foreeeeever to dry and it is already beginning to chip (after a day of relaxing restaurants and window shopping). On the plus side, my husband commented it didn't smell bad like some salons do. The Japanese lady tried hard to please me, but what can you expect with a 30 minute time limit? Though she spent over an hour, and still did not clean cuticles. (She mentioned some people don't like grooming their cuticles-- but I am getting "nail care," I want perfect cuticle, I went to a professional salon because their level is supposed to be better than what I can do myself.) Sadly, this was not the case. The atmosphere was very nice, they did a great job with the interior design. The attention to detail wasn't what I am used to. The nail polish application was not good. At first my nails were a little long and she did not cut them evenly, so I asked for her to just make them short. Over all, the level of work was what I can do at home, not worth the money. I've been to Bisou, Akiko, Marie, Vanity Project, you name it. Thankfully I found Meri at Spanail 8 months ago and now I'm never turning back!My gel manicures always last upwards of 2 weeks, sometimes around 3. Meri can handle abstract, geometric, floral, and any other design. The salon also carries the latest tech from Japan, including magnetic gels! It's a peaceful, well-equipped salon with kind staff. I got my mani and pedi done by Maki- she was not only technically super skilled but she is a great listener and created a perfect nail design for my wedding. The salon itself is extremely clean. I was never worried about their sanitation like I usually am at other salons. And last but not least, the customer service here is excellent. They make you feel so welcomed and comfortable, and I feel like we were so well taken care of. Will definitely go back! Read Less
