My nail technician was friendly and knowledgeable, had exceptional attention to detail and took her time preparing and creating my perfect nails and I was absolutely thrilled with my finished nails! My first experience at Bar Beaute was when I purchased a groupon voucher for a full set of lashes. The salon is very nice (fits right in with the location) and my lash technician was so friendly! I have been getting my lashes done consistently for years so I knew what to expect. When she was finished I she showed me the final look I was happy as they full but still natural just how I asked. However, as soon as I left I noticed lashes falling out. This then continued to happen the following days which I was very disappointed about. I'm so careful with aftercare when I get my lashes done as I usually can get a good 4-5 weeks out of my lashes before I need a refill however they were pretty much all gone by week 2. I am not sure if this is due to the quality of products they use but I would not repurchase. My next and last experience with Bar Beaute was when I signed up to be a lash model. I figured it's free so you can't really go wrong. I was advised to be early so I made sure I left my house to be there on time. I live on the other side of the city so it took some time to get there. When I arrived I wasn't greeted but saw two other girls there for the same thing so I just sat down and waited. After 10-15mins the lady asked the students if they had their own lash models which they all did and then told us "sorry girls we won't be needing you today". Um okay how about I'm so sorry for the inconvenience and how do you advertise for lash models make clear instructions to be free from 2-6 and then fail to let your lash models know PRIOR to them making a trip to your salon that there's been a change of plans. It's rude and unprofessional regardless if the service was free! If that’s how they treat people I’ll pass on coming back and I’ll sure as hell won’t recommend them to my friends and family. I'll start with the positive. The shop is beautiful and clean and the staff was extremely nice and accommodating. My lashes looked amazing when I left!The negative- The woman who did my lashes did not tell me to take my eyeliner off before applying the lashes. This was my first time getting lash extensions so I did not think to ask. Although I used oil free makeup remover that night to remove my liner, the rubbing still caused many lashes to fall out. I was extra careful afterwards not to rub them or get them wet (I even wore goggles in the shower the first two nights lol) but the lashes continued to fall out in clumps over the next couple of days. I got the lashes on a Thursday and by Monday they were almost all gone. This was extra disappointing because I got them for my wedding. My eyelids are on the oilier side, so I've heard this could be part of the problem, as well.As a side note, my mom got lashes with the same technician right after me and hers lasted much longer. I went on tuesday for lash extensions (I purchased the glam set which I believe is 100 or 110 lashes per eye) I was a little disappointed by the result (it seemed like the lowest level natural type of set with maybe 70 or so per eye) but they were applied in the correct manner, no burning on my eye or pulling feeling etc..they did look pretty but NATURAL not glam at all.The salon is really nice and modern, clean feeling so props to that! I felt like it was definitely trustworthy on hygiene. However, I have noticed MANY MANY lashes have fallen out in the past 4 days, usually I'll find one or two randomly (I've had lashes done at various places) but I've noticed at least 20 or so have fallen off. The salon is convenient to my office so I thought I'd give it a shot but I do not plan on going back for a refill since it seems I'd have to go back more frequent than normal since they do not last and they are not FULL. I did find it weird that the technician didnt show me any pictures or consult with me, I literally was told to lay down and she started with the tape over my eyes. I had to speak up and tell her the length just by going from my memory other salons and my prior applications. After a first eyelash appointment with Bar Beaute (I purchased the glam set) I was a little underwhelmed by the result (it was a little thin) but satisfied enough. However, I was pretty frustrated when nearly all the eyelashes had fallen off within a week.I contacted Bar Beaute about the issue and they were more than happy to offer me a re-do at no cost. I went to a different lash tech the second time around, and the results were STUNNING. The set looked super full and just all round nicely styled. It's been more than a week since I had them re-done and the lashes are still really thick and held the shape well. Both technicians were also very gentle (I have ultra sensitive and dry eyes) and the facility was extremely clean. I came during evening hours so it was empty except for me, the lash technician and a receptionist but because of the open concept, I could imagine it may get loud for someone coming at a different hour. I've been getting eyelash extensions for over five years, so I know the maintenance, etc. that goes into maintaining them. The front desk never offered any beverages, water, etc. But my actual issue.. The glam set of lashes I got here lasted a total of 6 days before completely falling out. I mean, nothing left. They started falling in clumps after 3 days, so by the end of the week I was back to how I was originally. I'm not sure if it's the glue they use, but I won't be returning. The service came to over $70 with tip + tax using a Groupon, so not even worth the money.The place itself is clean and aesthetically nice looking. Read Less

Came here because of all of the amazing reviews - sadly I didn't have the same experience. I'm giving 3 stars because the atmosphere is very professional and clean and my experience actually getting them done was great. I loved the way they looked and took note of instructions - no getting them wet for 24 hours, no touching or rubbing, no oil based make up removers, etc. I didn't shower for more than 24 hours out of fear of them falling out and the next day after combing my eyelashes with the wand they gave me nearly 10 of them fell off of one eye. I was very disappointed as I got these done a week before a wedding - and now they weren't even lasting up until the event. I went to Bar Beaute last week to get eyelash extensions.   First off, I must say this...entering this place was like entering a different universe.  Gorgeous from floor to ceiling! The receptionist was extremely attentive and Lisa, who did my lashes, was super sweet and did an amazing  job. She walked me through the process and made sure I was comfortable through it all.  I have very straight eyelashes and Lisa made them look full and natural, but they are a dramatic change for someone who struggles with trying to create full lashes.  I no longer have to curl or use mascara to lengthen my lashes.  They look great as is.    I absolutely love my lashes and will definitely return.  Thank you Lisa and Bar Beaute. I had 3D eyelash extensions applied here by Luba.  They were better than I could have hoped.  They lasted longer and looked better than any other salon I have been to.  The  salon was clean and quiet and my 5 star experience comes from that AND how wonderful Luba was.  She was so nice to me and made sure I liked everything.  We had the consult before and she took her time and explained everything to get a feel for which length and shape options I wanted and what look I wanted (btw her eyelashes are AMAZING as well).  She let me check the progress and was more than willing to retouch/change/or add until I was happy with my look.  Three weeks later I am still getting compliments on the lashes which has NEVER happened to me before.  I will def be back.  Thanks! This year I decided to send my girlfriend to a spa for her birthday and Bar Beaute came highly recommended by one of my coworkers. So, I trusted her advice and Bar Beaute lived up to her recommendation and then some! Me not knowing a thing about salon services and what my lady would enjoy was not a problem because the receptionist gave me her best recommendations and promised that my lady would be over the moon with the package I selected. I purchased a package that included mani/pedi, lashes, brows and a blowdry. Of course, she was absolutely right, my girlfriend raved about how flawless her nails, hair and brows were and she looked as beautiful as ever when I picked her up for dinner later that night. On top of it all, she told me they surprised her with a cupcake and a glass of champagne to celebrate her birthday! I thought that was sweet. The space is immaculate. The lash technician was pleasant and skilled.  She really knew what she was doing!  Big Plus: The lashes LAST.  In two weeks I lost maybe five lashes per eye.  The lashes are incredibly weightless and don't irritate your eyelids or lashes whatsoever.  They were probably the most comfortable lashes I've had thus far.  The look is natural because they don't use thicker lashes. I was quite pleased with the shape and application, and felt the price tag was worth it. A few drawbacks: Their appointment times are limited, I think because they only have one lash technician.  Their online booking system simply does not work most of the time, so that needs to be troubleshooted.  I do wish they had more varied thickness of lashes and offered darker lashes so the look could be more dramatic, but it's a trade-off for natural look, comfort and longevity of lashes, perhaps.  They should change up their blankets because they felt slightly on the cheaper end, and also should offer a neck pillow. If you want lashes that will look beautiful but no one will know you have extensions, this is definitely your salon. It's quality, and you won't need to go more than once every 3 weeks or more for touch-ups. Read Less
