Marleni (sorry if wrong spelling!) is truly wonderful--patient, kind and best of all gives a long lasting manicure. I've been going every 1-1.5 weeks to see her. I'm addicted to #18, a deep-ish red. The products are all very good plus they use Zoya polish remover. It's just challenging bc she's constantly interrupted for customers looking for the bathroom or asking if she has time. I've never seen anyone but her there which is annoying for me as a customer as she has to make appointments, take the money, answer questions and clean up. Very zen environment and not your typical nail salon.   I spent a relaxing Sunday afternoon here and the service was AMAZING!!!  Place is very clean and instead of giving you US weekly magazines, they have self-improvement books like Marie Kondo, Mindful Child, etc.  I didnt have issues with my pedicure as mentioned in some of the reviews - still no chip on the polish after 5 days.  Although I did wait for 45 min for the polish to dry before I left.  Would highly recommend if you are not looking for an express nail treatment.  It does take longer than some of your usual nail treatment but WELL WORTH IT!! "Vegan" and "non-toxic" are always nice to hear when it comes to beauty products, but there's no point in throwing these words around if the end product is sub-par. A burger made entirely of plain tofu is also "vegan" and "non-toxic" but it wouldn't taste good and I wouldn't eat it. I second what other people said about the polish taking twice as long to dry. I sat there for almost forty minutes after my mani-pedi in a state of utter confusion, since my manicurist had wordlessly moved onto another client as soon as she was done with me and I had to lean over and ask her several times how long I was supposed to wait. "Another twenty minutes?" She said. Okay. I waited another twenty minutes and then I put on my shoes, paid and left. Spoiler alert: twenty minutes was not enough. By the time I got home my pedicure was a mess. It's all right, I thought. I still have my nice manicure at least. Nope, gone by day 3 - it chipped like nobody's business and the nail polish itself started cracking. I would think that a manicure at this price would last at least a week, but it looks like this vegan nail polish doesn't hold up well to daily life. Read Less

I came back here with an online reservation after being turned away one busy weekday evening. The best thing about this place is the cleanliness. Everything from the nail tools to the nail filers are completely disinfected or new. My technician even told me a story about her sister who had contracted severe nail fungus from another spa and needed her toenail removed. The technician said cleanliness is at top of mind for this place, which is the main reason I'm fine paying a premium price. That said, I wasn't offered anything to drink when I arrived, and only realized I could get something when the girl across from me was served! The spa ambiance is very nice and relaxing, and there is no smell of nail polish. The polish selection was not extensive but they were all nice, basic colors. Make sure to bring cash for tip! The place is really nicely decorated and I like the idea of a more upscale and cleaner nail place unfortunately the level of service is not there for the premium price they charge. We waited 20 min for someone to start our pedicure when we were right on time for our appointment, no one apologize for the delay or offered us something to drink.. I was with my friend 7 months pregnant I think that would have been the minimum. Nice atmosphere but WAY too expensive- paid over $50 for a standard (though non-toxic) pedicure. Also, drying time was double because they use no drying lamps, and none of this was advertised when walking in. For the service itself, I want to give 4-5 stars. I came in, was taken care of right away. Zero waiting time (had an appointment). The woman who gave me my mani and pedi was lovely. Forgot her name but it starts with an S. Amazing foot and hand rub. Like I said, service was great. Now for the actually mani and pedi. It seemed fine when I left. My nails and toes looked cute. It was all good. It wasn't until 2 days later the nail polish started to crack. Very strange and disappointing. Maybe it's because the polish isn't as toxic as other polishes so that's why but for a $70 mani and pedi, I would've hoped it held up better. You can see the pics for the cracked polish. The ambiance and the environment was very calming and lovely I might add. But I'm not sure I'll pay that again to have a ruined mani and pedi only two days later. Read Less

Nice and very modern place to get a toxic free manicure. But with that being said, as i was waiting for my manicure to be finished the receptionist Diana (who was very accommodating and so so sweet) was being belittled and embarrassed by the owner in front of everyone. I felt so bad because the young girl was so genuine and nice to everyone who walked into sundays. She was answering phones checking in clients and passing out drinks all at the same time! The girl looked on the verge of tears I wanted to step in so bad, because the owner was upstairs the whole time and was not helping at all. I mean cmon have some decency! I purchased a Gilt deal for a mani/pedi at this salon, and, per instruction, booked an appointment ahead of time. Upon arrival, all was great and the people were friendly- I was sat down for my manicure. In my head, I thought, "Oh, don't most salons do the pedicure first?" but I trusted them with what they were doing. The manicure itself was standard, yet short (~20min) but I did like the in-house products used. After it was finished, I was left to my own devices, expecting to be seated for my pedicure soon. After about 10 minutes of waiting, I went up to the front to ask about it- and mentioned my voucher- the lady told me that they didn't have time for my pedicure, and that I should "make an appointment next time." I was forced to pay for the single manicure (since the voucher was for a mani AND pedi, they couldn't split it up) and leave. I was confused about the entire exchange, as I had definitely booked the appointments days prior.Honestly, it's probably the rudest experience I've had at a nail salon in NYC. I really wanted to love this place. I made an appointment and waited longer than people without appointments. It said it was take 25 mins and I was there for over an hour. I'm not used to just a polish on my nails, so it didn't last very long. Got messed up right away too. Maybe if I am in a bind again I'll go here again but otherwise probably not. Read Less

Simple, clean & structured nail salon on a somewhat desolate block of 25th. The employees are friendly and diligent, although not always quick. I started going to Sundays because of its selection of non-toxic polishes (including gels). The space is calming & not cheesy. Was super excited to try out @sundays_studio for a #vegan #manicure after work because I am taking a little break from my lovely gel. The place is cute and the lady who did my manicure and pedicure was great...BUT they are clearly only concerned about young trendy customers. The staff went out of their way to "treat" the younger crowd like gold, while ignoring me like I had a plague. Cool it is vegan, but I will never return. C-- for douche behavior. I really wanted to love this place. I bought a gilt deal for the rose mani pedi. I walked in at my apptment time and no one at the front came to greet me. All of the manicurists were busy so I waited around. Finally one woman who was in the middle of doing someone's pedicure got me water, had me sit down etc. bless her. I've honestly never walked into a nail salon without being properly greeted by someone at the cashier.I waited 30 min to get started. Meanwhile, some girls from the fashion industry walked in and were treated like queens. Surprise, 2 women who work in 'biz dev' came in and greeted them, explained the polishes that are 10 free, etc. even gave them a free gift. The owner came down to talk to them and to a few other women in the fashion business. Ignored all the other customers. Like another review said, dont go unless you have two hours to spare. They dont have drying machines there so you have to air dry and the polish doesnt really dry quickly. I left the salon at 8pm and when I got home at 9pm they still got messed up.Was going to give 1 star but i really liked the manicurist. Sweet girl who did her best without much support. Read Less

Amy has done a wonderful thing taking mani pedis to the next level of pampering. The salon's design is stunning and so different than the stock nail salons that you get a total experience to activate that female in you.In nude pink and tan wood, the danish modern freshness completes the minimalist feel of uncluttered finesse. The service is just as impeccable. In black pants, white T-shirts- that sport the Sunday's logo - and gray or light nude pink sweaters the staff look fresh out of a magazine.In fact they were given a write-up by Vogue editor in March and since then you need to book cause the place is abuzz with woman and men getting their tootsies trim and hands handsomed. I really like the idea of this place.  I first went two weeks ago for the lunch time manicure and pedicure and made appointments for both.  I waited a few minutes, but nothing crazy.  However I did note that there were two other women waiting towards the end of my appointment that had 12:30 appointments and were still waiting at 1 pm (and eventually just gave up and left).  They don't use anything to dry nails other than air drying, so they set a timer for 7 minutes.  Note: their polish does not actually dry in that amount of time, so I ended up ruining a few of my nails due to not realizing that, no big deal, partially my fault.Went back today for a lunch time manicure.  Made an appointment from 12:10 - 12:25.  When I was still sitting there waiting at about 12:30, I left to go back to work.  Clearly they don't value appointments here, so I don't understand why they offer them on their websites.  Don't bother coming here unless you have at least 30 minutes to wait and another hour + to get your nails done.Really like the nail polish, unfortunately will have to go somewhere else until they get their appointment situation figured out.  Can't justify waiting 30+ minutes past an appointment time at lunch when I could have been productively working (and come in for a later appointment if they could recognize when their booked). First time! I didn't realize they were so new to their location, the place had a great vibe- clean and comfortable, zero smells of chemicals. Everything done efficiently and still thoroughly. I booked because they were close to the hotel and I liked the idea of a relatively chem-free environment for the nail techs as well as the customers. I booked a gel mani online- when i got there they were able to get a pedi added also (non gel) .  There was a lovely shoulder massage included in the mani. $90 for both, this is an EXCELLENT value for the quality of service, location, and to support the chemical free, environmentally conscious nail salon we all want to be going to. This place is absolutely lovely. Not only is it not like any other nail salon in terms of curated design and relaxing feel, but the polish is non toxic and cruelty free, the service is fantastic and the staff is extremely sweet. I bought a Gilt coupon, and went in the same day- no problem. I didn't have an appointment so I waited a few minutes, while they served me Yogi tea with an apple-honey substitute (vegan and delicious) and some yummy cookies. The nail color selection was wonderful, and the care put into every aspect of both manicure and pedicure was astounding, including dried rose petals in the water and an included mini shoulder massage while my nails dried. It was definitely not the fastest mani pedi I've ever had, but I will take the time out of my day any time to come here and relax! Just opened but still having a lot of opening business issues. Telephone number on website  not working. Got a gift certificate online and the recipient never received it. Contacted store and did not fix it. Then went in for an appointment waited thirty minutes and had to leave because I ever got anyone to do my nails and  it was a lunch special and it was suppose to be quick. My friend went with me and stayed. She waited 45 minutes and spent an hour and half there when it was suppose to be 20 minute lunch special. The location is nice but too many issues. Read Less

Dear Sundays nails studio is my new go-to! The moment you walk into the nail salon, you feel instantly relaxed, as if you've arrived at your girlfriend's apartment. All the staff working there are more than friendly, especially Amy the owner greeted my girlfriend and I with the warmest smile and welcome. The decor of the place is very chic and minimalistic, the color scheme matches perfectly well - it's simply elegant! Bonus points to the scented candles and soft classical music which really calms you down, the overall ambient was just graceful! I even got an amazing neck/back massage after my mani.
