I used to go to this place back when I was younger with my mom and we said we would never go back again. But, thanksgiving 2015 I was in desperate need of a gel mani I drove around Nanuet & this was the only place that was open. I got regular pedi & a gel mani & instantly fell in love!! Blanca the new owner is incredible! She's so friendly & so is her staff! They offer great products and great spas to pick from! They have cool gel nail polishes that change colors with the temperature of the atmosphere you are in! Don't let the old reputation hold you back from walking into a new one! Read Less

I highly recommend this place! The staff is friendly & they do an amazing job! I always go for a gel manicure/pedicure & I am happy to say that I am always satisfied with the results, as well as with how long the manicure/pedicure lasts. Blanca is the new owner of the nail salon, and I just wanted to write a review about my experience with Estee nails...I got a gel manicure at the beginning of this month, and picked a beautiful gray gel nail polish (it was an older nail polish - I forget the brand name) Blanca encouraged me to pick from one of her newer color sets (2 other different brands of polish because she said they were better) of course stubborn me still went for the pretty gray color and came back 2 days later complaining that's nails we're chipping (but it was a gel manicure and that chipping was unacceptable for me!) So what Blanca did to ensure her customer's satisfaction, she offered to redo my nails the same color,  I didn't want the same color worried it would chip again...so she was so professional about it and offered to redo my nails with a color from the newer set which she originally had encouraged me to select from (I should have listened to her the first time) Usually they charge for color change...but she didn't charge me...I still paid her a good tip for her services and just because she's very nice to me...it's a different staff the the previous owner Chris, so I'm still feeling out the new crew...sometimes short-staffed, however, they updated the salon and repainted and redid the floors...Blanca didn't have the plastic bags for the footbath like Chris had...I hope that she ordered it by the time I go back...I feel it's more hygienic with the plastic bag, but she will clean the tub again before you put your feet in...just ask...they're very good at meeting your requests to make you happy...overall I enjoy their service...and I hope you give them a try... Chris is the owner of the salon estee,  They are very sweet and the Mani is $8 also the Pedi is $13 if you want a special Pedi it is $15 also the Mani & Pedi is $20 the colors over there are really pretty. and they have Liquid sand also! I had it done in 4 colors and they feel so soft after they dry but the only thing is you got to stay at the drying for almost 20 minutes for a complete drying if you stay in the light for less than that you'll mess up I did before, Tina did my nails once and Stephanie did my toes and they have a scrub, Hot Towel Which I love feeling on my legs and hands,  Chris did mine too about 4 times and did a great job.  I love this Nail Salon and the staff are so great at this.  Please enjoy coming I give tips and don't be disappointed.  :) Read Less

Booo. I wish I had seen this review before. The place is old and dirty. The manicures are messy.  This is the first time I've had a messy gel mani. I could have done a better job on my toes myself.  Never be too lazy to get up and leave! Read Less

Got a gel manicure from this place on a Friday by Saturday my nails started chipping and the gel polish lifting, on top of the fact that the lady who did my nails cut my index finger.  I went back to on the Monday and the lady who was there said "it's only $20.00 we can guarantee how long your nails will last"!!!!!! She fixed them after trying to explain that I know gel polish doesn't chip in a few days. She was so rude and had the nerve to Argue with me! I'll never go back. If they had good business skills they would of fixed my nails without all the extra lip. Don't waste your time and go here!!!!!! Read Less

I want to give it minus star!!! Asked for special pedi $20 and this lady didn't do the whole package that I asked for and WORST!!! She painted my nails only 1 coat YUP!!! 1 coat!!! I walked in on a very NOT busy day (only one other person there getting a pedicure) to get a gel tip set & a pedicure, as well as an eyebrow wax.  I was given the wax right away- it came out uneven and was actually more painful than usual since she didn't do anything to ease the sting after pulling the wax off. Most places will press on the area with some sort of cooling agent, or even just press with their fingers.  She did none of that.  Then it was on to the pedi chair where I was pretty much abandoned to a mechanical massage as the owner of the salon (who'd been working with me) decided to refocus her attention on the 2 other people who walked in needing mani-pedis.  After maybe 10 minutes of being beaten by the chair, the owner sends the "pedicure lady" (her words) over to me.  I got a French pedicure and the "pedicure lady" couldn't even make even white lines- they were all thick on one side and thin on the other and didn't look intentional at all.  Then I was moved back to the owner's station for my gel tip set.  This was the REAL problem, both in terms of product & service.  Each time a different customer walked in, the owner would leap out of her seat to help them with their wax or pedi, leaving me sitting waiting.  Each time she'd say "We just have to let that dry a little, yes?" before dashing off.  Now I've gotten these sets before, and I've always had them done straight through.  Nobody else needs to let the nail glue dry!  She'd wander back after working with the other customers and tell me "Thank you for waiting" as if I had any choice in the matter.  When she was finished, the line between my nail & the tip was clearly obvious, and the gel was all gooped up on the tip and not so much on my actual nail bed. All in all, it took over 3 hours to get a gel tip set, a pedicure and an eyebrow wax- outrageous!  She charged me $97 and I even gave her and her pedicure lady a tip (I used to work for tips so I still tip even when the service is atrocious).  I was getting these tips for a wedding I was in.  I got the tips put on on a Tuesday afternoon for a Friday wedding.  By Thursday, 2 tips had already popped off & been glued back on, and the rest were visibly lifting.  By Saturday, 5 tips were missing, and one had chipped a chunk off the end.  A week later, only 2 nails were still holding on...and she said come back in 2 weeks for a fill???  These nails don't LAST 2 weeks!  Never again! A big group of us came in for a pre-wedding mani-pedi, with a reservation. We had some adults, a teenager, and a 4 year old. I've never seen a 4 year old get a mani-pedi, let alone see the staff be so comfortable with her. They were great.  Wow it did take some time for everyone to get painted, it made complete sense because of our large group.  They worked incredibly efficient and definitely knew what they were doing with a great result.Even though it was great because I didn't have to pay for it, it was still a good steal at $20 for a mani-pedi. I went a few times to Estee Nails. The first time it smelled awful strong of nail lacquer. Obviously, the place needs a better fan. That was a few years ago. I went back there in 2010 and was surprised that the bad lacquer smell was gone. One of the women working there explained the nail salon switched to a different brand. The nailsalon is very busy. The work is good and the price is very competitive, $ 20.00 for mani and pedi. I don't know if the salon still has that special so call to find out. As with all specials, if they are busier than usual, you may have to wait longer. Read Less
