I'm giving Diva Nails 4 stars not because of the work they do because they do an awesome job, but because of the service and also the way the establishment looks. As you enter you immediately get a feeling that you are annoying someone. The first person that greeted me wasn't too pleasant didn't say hello and only asked what I needed. She was sitting independently from the other nail techs so I assume she is the manager or owner. However, the nail technician that helped me was amazing! Her name was Kim and she really took her time with me and made sure that I liked everything before she proceeded. I wasn't aware that I couldn't apply the tip on my card since I am used to doing it this way when I go to GW nails in Garden City Park, so I wasn't able to give her a tip but told her that I would be back after going to search for an ATM, she was so sweet and informed me that it was getting dark and not to worry about it. I came back the following day with a $15 tip because she was really awesome!Now the place... mmmm.... isn't the most relaxing or up kept salon. It looks very beat down and not appealing what so ever. So if you're looking for a relaxing environment I wouldn't suggest Diva Nails and instead would suggest GW Nails. However Diva does a better job in terms of nail designs and the pricing is extremely reasonable! Read Less

I've been coming here for the past 4 years and I have to say I love it. Everyone knows what they're doing for the most part. Jennie, who sits in the first chair, if she knows you you'll be cool with her. Chris, who's the only guys here, is the best person to get your nails done by. Good luck with trying to get an appointment with him. It might be a while but it's we'll worth the wait. Vicki who's a little on the younger side is so sweet and always accommodates me, with a lot of knowledge behind her she's always my go to girl. Tory is my go to girl when I need a new set of nail put on, which isn't often, she always takes her time and is presiten and clean. The salon as a whole is great and they know their customers. Let me start from the beginning, my first red flag was the fact that the removing of my other lashes hurt a tad bit. Now I’m wondering if some of my real lashes were pulled out. Not only that but I could smell the glue that this man was using on my eyes. Felt like my lashes were being soaked in it. Then when it was over and I was asked to open my eyes they burnedddd HORRIBLY. He kept telling me to open my eyes. I’m like I can’t it burns I’m like the glue clearly isn’t dry. He kept telling me it was until someone else came in. I kept asking for tissue because at the point my eyes were watering like crazy this went on for about 10 minutes. Then a woman comes in and tells me to Lay back down and take a nap then she turns the light off. At this point I have no choice but to lay here because every time I open my eyes IT BURNS. So now for the next 10 minutes I’m laying here wondering what negative reaction will my eyes have to this botched eyelash extension. Never in my years of getting my lashes done have I experienced this. NEVER. I was terrified. When I finally got tired of laying there I finally was able to open my eyes with no burning but then I realized one or two eyelash extensions were stuck to my bottom lash 🙄🙄🙄 at this point I had to pry it off so I could open my eyes. He kept saying any issues to come back and I showed him how white my eyes were he cleaned it up or so I thought. Telling me the rest of the white stuff would come off when I washed my face. Knowing that you shouldn’t wet your lashes for at least 24 hours this let me know that instead of asking me to come another day they instructed someone with no experience to glue extensions to my eyelashes not to mention it smelled like crazy glue. And it was white like that was what they used. I get home and wipe my face off only to see more white stuff crusted all around my eyelashes. He merely tried to cover it up not clean it. I was so terrified to let them re do it I’m stuck with these hard lashes, that hurt my eyes every time I look up . Not to mention I asked for them to be full and that was not what I got and they wanted to charge me extra to fix it. First of all, Diva Nails is a gorgeous salon. The decor is pretty & I love that they have a separate waiting area. I had made an appointment before coming in, and still ended up waiting 20 minutes (which is fine, it was super busy and that's just what happens.)I normally do SNS powder nails but this was my 1st trip to Diva and I think they use a different product. My nail tech was super sweet and did an amazing job at shaping my nails! And I love the color I chose... however, I am not a fan of the product used. Within 24 hours, the gel topcoat had partially chipped from both of my thumbs! If I hadn't been traveling at the time, I would've went back in so they could fix them. Honestly I have no clue how they chipped which is the weird thing. The reason I like using powder is because the OCD in my heart can't stand chipped nail polish, or else I would pay less and have a regular manicure done. The powder nails cost $30, then $5 to remove the previous powder nail & $5 for the gel topcoat so overall $40 plus tip.... if you're interested in powder nails, I've had better and paid less. However, if I were ever interested in doing a gel manicure, I would definitely come back to Diva Nails! Their Instagram page shows a huge array of different designs they've done & a woman next to me during my appointment was actually having her wedding nails done and they were gorgeous! If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The manager Jenny is condescending, rude and unqualified. It's sad because they do have some talented nail techs but unfortunately they're not in the right location. I booked an appointment with Chris a month in advance and two weeks prior to my appointment I called to squeeze in a friend with me, no specific tech was requested, we just wanted to be seen together. I confirmed my appointment with Chris and scheduled my friends appointment for the same time. The day of our appointment after our pedicures were done, I see Chris is busy attending to other clients so I asked and very rudely Jenny yells across the salon "he's got 3 clients today and you're not one of them - I have no appointment for you. You need to schedule in advance." I calmly tried explaining to her that I confirmed my appointment twice and she responds with "I don't know. You can see someone else." After arguing with the world's most idiotic manager for half an hour, I gave up. So I paid for our pedicures and left. I'm paying you for a service, you're not doing me any favors, so do not disrespect your clients. The place is not clean, they reuse their tools often without sterilizing, I've seen injuries happen here way too often and after my last fiasco I refuse to go back. I really like diva nails.  I refrained from coming here for a long time because it has a reputation for being pricey but honestly, the prices are very fair and not much different from other nail salons in Williston Park.  I've gotten my nails done by Tori, Jane, and Chris and I've never walked out their salon unsatisfied.  I think they do very clean, neat work.  The only reason I'm not giving this place 5 stars is because one time, there was a complication with my debit card and the person ringing me up was being very rude about it.  She just made me feel bad about the situation and embarrassed.  I also don't like how they don't do tips through credit cards too.  It's so inconvenient. Clean salon, nice staff and great services. I suggest finding someone you like and making an appointment with them to save yourself the wait. Even when you have an appointment you have to wait just not as long as you do if you're a walk in. Also remember to bring cash for the tip & quarters for the meters outside.Read Less

Worst nail place in Mineola! Service is horrible. Went there one time and will never go back! The only good thing is it's pretty clean but it does not make up for the terrible service. The nail tech tried painting over old nail polish I had on my nails from a previous manicure and tried to act like she didn't see it. My nails looked lumpy and when I tried to tell her she got sarcastic. Never even tried to file my nails after cutting then and also had to remind her. Then when she did she left my nails crooked. I honestly just wanted to get out of there it was a nightmare and I felt like she was just trying to get me out of the chair. I absolutely love this nail salon! After being unhappy with my previous salon & their unnecessary attitude I went on a hunt for a new salon that was reasonably priced & could do designs. I tried a bunch around Nassau County with no positive results. Finally, a friend recommended this place & I am so glad she did! Prices are fair, its very clean, and lots of different color choices both gel and regular polish. They are also very thorough, & do impressive designs. It gets busy at times but there is always a lot of people working to accommodate whatever you need done. Jenny does my nails and she is great. So happy I found her! I love how I can tell her to do whatever and I always end up with amazing results & designs. She also has a very funny & witty banter with lots of her customers that I find amusing & makes my time there always enjoyable. Very surprising this place stays open. Came in & when shown a design from their own Instagram page, they looked confused & had 4 people look at it, none of which looked comfortable actually doing it & looked like they've never seen this design before. I had an appointment for 2 people & asked in advance that we could sit together. When we got there they sat us 6 chairs apart, despite there being 2 seats open next to eachother, when we politely asked if we could just sit together, they first said no, then several people were yelling back & forth about it in another language while we just stood there awkwardly (and frankly ready to walk out right there), but, after several awkward minutes, they did put us next to eachother. I've been to a lot of nail places over the years & while I understand there's usually a language barrier, it appears that either no one speaks English or they just don't want to since they don't bother speaking to their clients. It was also very rushed. I was really displeased with the whole experience but, the nail design actually came out nicely & the owner was nice on the way out (that's the only reason why they didn't just get 1 star).
