I am surprised and dismayed by the negative reviews I have read. For years and years I went to Royal Nails, and then have been away for nearly three years due to my injury. I returned yesterday, and had the grandest regular pedicure, done by Soledad, in the history of foot care!  The place is clean, the chairs are comfortable, the polish options are vast! Most importantly of all, Soledad is thorough, gentle, caring, and the consummate foot care professional!  Whilst I have never had a manicure done there, or anywhere else for that matter, what I see being done for other customers looks wonderful. Will NEVER go back to this salon. I have been going here for 7 years and I made an appointment with them one week ago. I showered up for my appointment and they told me I made it for a different day which I never would as I was going on a vacation and leaving after the appointment. The owner Steven argued with me that I was wrong and wouldn't offer another appointment with the girl I usually go to. I ended up leaving and going else where. After 7 years,  I never messed up an appointment and have invested so much money in their business weekly and including Christmas gifts you would think the owner would have more respect for his clients. I would've been better off flushing my money down the toilet and having a 5 year old paint my toes. Did she even get any dead skin off the bottom of my feet? Nope. Was the polish off my nails and on my skin? Yep. Did she both to say one word to me? Nope. Not only was my pedicure garbage but my manicure was even worse. She cut my finger open to the point that my ring finger nail was covered in blood. Did I get an apology? Nope. Again more polish on my fingers than on my nails which she didn't even bother removing. Don't waste your money in this shit hole. There are PLENTY of other great salons in Massapequa that will do a decent job and actually speak English. Read Less

This is my second experience getting acrylic tips put on my nails. The first time I was with two of my friends and the only person to do acrylics at the time was the man named Steven. The first experience was very good, Steven was kind and pleasant to all three of us. For that experience I would have give 5/5 stars. Then this time, I was by myself mainly because I still thought Steven was the only one there to do it, so we wouldn't have to waste a whole day waiting for each other. To my surprise there was another man doing acrylics today. Naturally I thought "oh good, now I don't have to wait 5 years." However, towards the end, I figured it would have been better if I waited for Steve to be finished. But I took a chance and I regret it. The act of putting the tips on and painting them and all that was good as usual. But, the new comer whose name i did not catch, was awfully rude to me simply because I was having a difficult time understanding him when he spoke. He was wearing the mask that covers the mouth and his accent is really heavy so it was hard to hear him. Naturally, I would ask him to repeat what he said and every single time I would ask him to do so, he be saying "Oh my god this is ridiculous" and other things of that sort. His attitude was poor and if I ever were to go back I will be requesting Steven specifically do my manicure, pedicure, tips, etc. During the actual process, in order to file down the acrylic slightly, the man would basically stick his nail beneath my own nail and let me tell you how painful that was. It felt as if my nails were going to rip right off. The previous time I went here, I did not feel any pain (even in the slightest). Upon, filing the acrylic, he would continuously file my skin surrounding my nail. So when i was asked to wash my hands, my cuticles stung all at once, because now my skin was ripped open. I am pleased with the final result, but all the pain today, and the attitude issue of this man was not worth it. I will not be coming to Royal Nails unless I wish to request Steven. Even so, everyone else was kind and pleasant and didn't make me uncomfortable. But this man, was the down fall. I'm happy for those who have had good experiences all around so to keep that up for you, if you want tips, ask for Steven to apply and paint them. Read Less

BY FAR, BEST!!!! Spa Pedicure EVER! Kevin gave the best massage, great job with the hot stone massage and the actual filing and painting of nails & as if it couldn't get any better, i got a french manicure and they look AMAZING! This place was just recently taken over by new management and they are amazing and pamper you so well. Fill in $15- pedicure$15- acrylic full set $20.. They do everything and anything here and they give you very nice sandals free with every pedicure. Read Less

Absolute worst nail shop experience I have ever had to endure.. trusted the yelp reviews claimed by others before me.. but utterly disappointed the owner I presume the man named Steven rushed to give me a shellac manicure not only put the WRONG color at first, then just painted over the existent WRONG color, did not cut my cuticles, or properly prep my nails for the shellac went from doing my nails to another lady's fill in going back and forth probably the reason for the paint stuck to my skin. I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt but everything he could have done wrong was done wrong. I would never recommend this shop to another, let alone ever go back. Read Less

Every time I visit family on LI, I stop here. The salon is spotless, and the staff is extremely warm. It's sort of like a local bar in the spa world--everyone remembers you and you leave with a smile. Plus, the prices are unbeatable, and you never have to wait. Read Less

I love this place. I've been going here for years. Steven, Lisa, and Solidad are the nicest and funniest people I have ever met. The prices here cannot be beat, and the place is kept immaculate. A pedicure on Monday-Thursday is only $10! A steal, if I do say so myself. Read Less
