The place gets 3 stars because the women who actually performed the service did a good job. It's everything else that is just wrong:Manicures and pedicures should not equal $50 this is insane. On this alone, I will never return but was in a jam. The Russian owned shop is a chaotic mix of selling jewelry, bags, streaks, chin threading, nails you name it... the Russian woman who did my nails was clearly angry with her tip and talked about me with her friend quite obviously. Very rude and poor behavior in a professional establishment. The lady at the door is one of those smile in your face cursing you out in her head types. She pushed for me to pay, saying it was 5 o'clock and wanted to close the batch, but the shop was open until 7? Then she brings my change, for tipping, and asks me if I want help to give the tips out? Pushy, tacky, and just no class. I will find another spot in LB. way too much going on in this place and honestly it just made me feel uncomfortable and obviously enough to never want to come back. Hope you guys listen to what people are saying, constructive criticism might get you more customers.

This has been my go to salon for over a year for my eyebrows, never had a problem I always got complimented on my brow shape. I went the day before my graduation to get my eyebrows threaded and the woman who did them I have never seen there but she completely butchered my eyebrows. The shape was more than clear there were just some hairs to clean up. It's been almost a month and my eyebrows still have not grown back. They were so bad that while I was walking to jj nails down the block, I was crying. You shouldn't have people working there that don't know what the hell they're doing. She didn't even trim my brow hairs w the little scissors it was the quickest thing ever and it was horrible. Everyone told me not to go to George's bc the owner and workers are terrible I should've listened.

George's Hair Salon makes you feel beautiful when you walk out that door. That is your goal and the salon's goal. Bad reviews are rude. You came there for your hair, and there are very few days and nights when they are not busy, but if they were not busy then they would not be any good. George and his staff work very hard to make you comfy, and they do great work. They also do beautiful nails and other salon treatments. Happy ending for all.

A special note -Bella is the only person who has been doing my nails since going there( unless she's on vacation ) -she's great ! * They added great gift items and fashion accessories by Amy , another PLUS !

I owned my own salon for 10 years and have very high standards.....This is a neighborhood salon, not Madison Ave.......George is always updating the salon with new equipment, seating, pedicure stations..........I for one wouldn't go anywhere else...........

George never turns any one down that walks in . he is every where and making sure everyone is being taken care of properly at all times. Love this guy and his staff . You will not be disappointed.

When I walked in I wasn't really acknowledged by the receptionist. One of the nail techs on the side asked what I was here for which was a blow out. She just told me to go to the back and get shampooed. Blow out was okay. I find it strange their prices depends how long your hair is...but maybe I haven't been to enough salons to know if that's normal or not. I also find it strange that the receptionist had to ask George (the owner) how much the price was for my blowout. He looked at me and said $25. The prices should be set from the beginning. Can't really say much about the employees considering I didn't have much of a conversation with anyone there. What I didn't like the most was the atmosphere. The whole place seemed very cramped and cluttered. The color back bar was a complete mess with color tubes out which was cringy and an eyesore. The only thing pretty there was the fish tank, but it definitely didn't look like it belonged at that salon. As far as their other services, I can't really say much. But this review is based on my first impression.

Worst experience I have ever had. I've only had Brazilian wax done two other times and have never walked out with wax still stuck to me and hair still there . The woman was basically running out the door while I was getting dressed and the room was packed with stuff that she couldn't even go around the table. The salon it's self is full of junk and seems to be doing every service possible . It reminds me of a gypsy store then a hair salon I would never ever recommend this place to anybody as a Long beach resident for the past 20+ years

I've been getting my hair and nails done here for over 10 years. I would never go to another place. If I was in another country and needed a haircut I would wait until I got home to long Beach to go and see George. It is a staple of Long Beach family run business's. The employees treat you with respect. The level of comfortability is top tier. George, his wife Lola, and his son Danny are some of the most respectful people in Long Beach. I love going to George's Hair & Nail Salon, and try to get in once a week for my nails and once a month for my hair. I 1000% recommend this establishment. Long Beach needs more businesses like this. Thank you George for all the years of wonderful treatment.

So, this has got to be the dirtiest & worst service establishment in long beach. The blow drys are for the most amateurish. It's the most unwelcoming salon I have ever brought my business to. Avoid this clown car of a business unless it's the only place opened when you need services.

Absolutely disgusting, dirty, NASTY!!! Can't tell if it's a hair or nail salon. Plus the receptionist is running around selling jewelry, 's arves, answering phones. Almost every piece of jewelry I purchased broke and I was told they were "handmade" by the receptionist until I brought back nearly everything and learned she had "a supplier." So dissapointed because I just moved to the neighborhood. Uch, ugh, DON'T GO!! AWFUL UNRELAXING, UPTIGHT ENVIRONMENT WITH EMPLOYEES SCREAMING AND YELLING AT EACH OTHER. George, the owner, is a miserable tyrant!

The stylish styled just how I wanted.Entering the place I didn't felt welcome. When i ask the just told me go to the back someone is washing your hair. I didnt see anybody in the back but i went. The shampoo lady was not gentle while washing my hair. She used a very small amount of conditioner and didn't asked me if I wanted treatments or anything. My hair is very dry. She sat me to wait at a station.In general the whole staff looked Unhappy. I saw nail techs using blades on people's feet. That is not legal on nail salons.I'll come back for quick blow outs. That's it. Need to improve customer service.

They only have two but they are BRAND NEW AND STRONG TOP OF THE LINE MACHINES. I like the eyelash extensions (although no matter WHERE you get them done they will destroy your real lashes; that is NOT their fault.......they do an AMAZING JOB *if* you get Angela)George is generous and will round your price down if you get a few services......it's just brightly lit, no privacy, loud and like I said before not the friendliest at all.I like it though for my gel mani, regular pedi and my tanning.For waxing I use European Wax Center in O'side and for my hair I ONLY go to Madison Taylor in Garden City, NY. That's my top picks and I'm INCREDIBLY picky about this stuff.They DO sell fabulous products but watch the PRICES.....

Great prices and speedy service. Got a long-lasting wax done and had my eyebrows threaded for the first time (at their suggestion - I was planning to wax them). The threading was actually faster and less painful than waxing and didn't leave my eyes with wax bits, puffiness, or redness. I'll definitely be back!

On this alone, I will never return but was in a jam. Worst experience I have ever had. I've only had Brazilian wax done two other times and have never walked out with wax still stuck to me and hair still there . The woman was basically running out the door while I was getting dressed and the room was packed with stuff that she couldn't even go around the table. The salon it's self is full of junk and seems to be doing every service possible . It reminds me of a gypsy store then a hair salon I would never ever recommend this place to anybody as a Long beach resident for the past 20+ years

I go to George's constantly. The service is always professional and reliable. George employs the most energetic and happy staff. There is always an occasion happening. Amy's AMAZING jewelry creations are always original and complimentary. For all the haters, please take your negative energy elsewhere. My family and I will continue to go there for all of our services. Also, the prices are comparable to all other Salons. It's expensive to be cheap☆

I've been getting my hair and nails done here for over 10 years. I would never go to another place. If I was in another country and needed a haircut I would wait until I got home to long Beach to go and see George. It is a staple of Long Beach family run business's. The employees treat you with respect. The level of comfortability is top tier. George, his wife Lola, and his son Danny are some of the most respectful people in Long Beach. I love going to George's Hair & Nail Salon, and try to get in once a week for my nails and once a month for my hair. I 1000% recommend this establishment. Long Beach needs more businesses like this. Thank you George for all the years of wonderful treatment.

The only reason to go here is convenience. Otherwise; George the owner is arrogant and most of his ( not all) employees are unfriendly and bitchy. So, this has got to be the dirtiest & worst service establishment in long beach. The blow drys are for the most amateurish. It's the most unwelcoming salon I have ever brought my business to. Avoid this clown car of a business unless it's the only place opened when you need services.

Absolutely disgusting, dirty, NASTY!!! Can't tell if it's a hair or nail salon. Plus the receptionist is running around selling jewelry, 's arves, answering phones. Almost every piece of jewelry I purchased broke and I was told they were "handmade" by the receptionist until I brought back nearly everything and learned she had "a supplier." So dissapointed because I just moved to the neighborhood. Uch, ugh, DON'T GO!! AWFUL UNRELAXING, UPTIGHT ENVIRONMENT WITH EMPLOYEES SCREAMING AND YELLING AT EACH OTHER. George, the owner, is a miserable tyrant!

I was dining at Corson de Cuba restaurant. On my way out I noticed this salon was open and I wanted a quick blow out. I give them 3 stars because I liked the final look of my blow out. The stylish styled just how I wanted.Entering the place I didn't felt welcome. When i ask the just told me go to the back someone is washing your hair. I didnt see anybody in the back but i went. The shampoo lady was not gentle while washing my hair. She used a very small amount of conditioner and didn't asked me if I wanted treatments or anything. My hair is very dry. She sat me to wait at a station.In general the whole staff looked Unhappy. I saw nail techs using blades on people's feet. That is not legal on nail salons.I'll come back for quick blow outs. That's it. Need to improve customer service.

They only have two but they are BRAND NEW AND STRONG TOP OF THE LINE MACHINES. I like the eyelash extensions (although no matter WHERE you get them done they will destroy your real lashes; that is NOT their fault.......they do an AMAZING JOB *if* you get Angela)George is generous and will round your price down if you get a few services......it's just brightly lit, no privacy, loud and like I said before not the friendliest at all.I like it though for my gel mani, regular pedi and my tanning.For waxing I use European Wax Center in O'side and for my hair I ONLY go to Madison Taylor in Garden City, NY. That's my top picks and I'm INCREDIBLY picky about this stuff.They DO sell fabulous products but watch the PRICES.....

Previous reviews are right! No licenses visible. No tools have been sanitized from one client to the next. They don't even wipe down the stations. The state board needs to visit this place ASAP!

Great prices and speedy service. Got a long-lasting wax done and had my eyebrows threaded for the first time (at their suggestion - I was planning to wax them). The threading was actually faster and less painful than waxing and didn't leave my eyes with wax bits, puffiness, or redness. I'll definitely be back!
