My experience has been from terrible to wow at this particular nail salon. Today's visit had me doubting if I'll return, but I know it was mostly due to the technician's skills. My mani & pedi was going well up until the technician started painting my nails. She was shaky, and smeared polish over my toes and cuticles. All of my nails have bubbles and I cannot wait to get a new manicure. If I were to return, I would ask for someone specific, as I've had great experiences here with other technicians. Read Less

What to say about the average nail salon in America...?...lol nothing special here. Got my mani/pedi yesterday and this is how it looks in terms of polishing. Yes, some of the ladies are very polite & nice but the overall end result is this, lots of lotion, hot towels, and bad polishing. I'm yet to find a good salon. The only one that had me as a customer was caught on fire and hasn't reopened yet. Also if you wanna come here make sure you make an appointment, they're busy. Prices are higher than average too. First time here today :) Place was clean, love the level of sanitation. ^_^ Woman who did my manicure/pedicure was super careful/thorough. Love that she suggested colors similar to what I picked in case I want to change up next time. While not super chatty she was definitely friendly, easing the atmosphere. Love the foot/neck rub. This place is always busy and yet there's barely a wait. I sat down in the pedicure chair for about 5 minutes before someone came by to start my pedicure. The only reason I didn't give this place more stars was because my matte manicure didn't last as they didn't have matte top coat and because they started my manicure while doing my pedicure. Golden Nails' staff are all friendly and good at manicures; their pedicures are relaxing and makes you feel pampered!It can be quite busy so making appointments before hand is better than the wait for Walk-In's.LOVE this place. My sisters and I go there all the time! Read Less

Golden nails is just ok - I tend to run there for a quick manicure as it is across the street from my work and in a shopping center with ample parking. They are quite average, reasonable prices and staff not very talkative. There is a large screen TV that is muted so you have to read the subtitles- not very relaxing. The complimentary back rub was ok about 30 sec long and not very inspiring. With so many nail salons on Long Island, find a place that appreciates your patronage. As I said convenience and color selection counts so I will likely be back but yearn for that spa feeling. Read Less

Not Good!!! manicure was terribly done and design was bad too i paid 10 dollars extra to get a design on both my fingers and toes and it looks terrible!!! i could have done a better job myself with no nail experience. I felt rushed the entire time i was there from picking a color, to letting my nails dry. In fact my nails smudged about an hour after i went because they did not allow the color to dry before they added another coat. My manicure was terrible. That being said my Pedicure was actually pretty good. it was nothing special but she knew what she was doing and did a decent job. I got a manicure, pedicure for $23 which is not bad but i overpaid on the designs at 5 dollars each (5 for toes 5 for fingers) it was just not worth my money to get the designs they were poor quality. This salon is great! the warm, modern green atmosphere is wonderfully relaxing. The help, full of personality and experiance, are all close companions to the owner and manager, Micaela, who is also close friend. Why, once when the store was closing down for the day, i saw a little girl walk in with her father, asking for a manicure which they did just for her. This salon has everything a salon could be.
