I had a very nice stylist yesterday. She was very friendly. We didn’t quite meet up on what I was hoping for. But I messaged the salon in tears and they got me back in this evening to fix it. The stylist I saw tonight was amazing! She listened and asked a ton of questions. She was super friendly and I felt comfortable with her. She fixed me up and my hair looks so good now! I had a facial appointment with Julia today. I arrived 15 minutes early and was brought up the stairs to a waiting room. At this point I was left alone and saw no one for another half an hour. Fifteen minutes after my scheduled appointment time I went to the front desk where the receptionist looked surprised and confused to see me. When I mentioned I had been waiting the only explanation I received was 'I guess she's running behind.' At this point I didn't want to spend my Saturday waiting so I left. I had a friend make an appointment for me stating I wanted a spa manicure with shellac. I also had a massage appointment. It took her an hour to get my shellac off and she didn't even get it all off. They should have used cotton balls not those tiny little pads. She told me I couldn't have a spa manicure because there wast enough time. Very disappointed with the nail situation. I have to say that my massage was so relaxing and amazing! I would not suggest this salon to get your nails done at least with the gal I had. Read Less

My wife and I were staying on the lake and after a long week of sleeping in a strange bed and boating with our kids we were ready for a small getaway.  I called in the morning on a Thursday and was able to book a manicure for my wife and an hour long massage for myself that afternoon.  When we arrived they greeted us by name and took us immediately to our respective services.  I believe my masseuse's name was Amanda and the massage was incredible!  The upstairs spa area was very nice, quiet and professional.   Felt totally relaxed and rejuvenated after. I usually have a good experience so I'm giving it 3 stars ..but this last time will be my last time going to panache the lady litterally messed my hair up and it's not like what I asked for at all ..I told them this and they did schedule me to come in and get it fixed ..the fix is way worse than before and now I can't do crap with my hair and it looks terrible :( this is a hair cut I have gotten at panache before and so I do know how the look should look ..im not a happy client right now and I will be going to a new salon to get it cut short because that's the only way to fix this mess. I was treated to a spa day from my husband, who see I was getting depressed from not working after surgery. It was a very relaxing time & the 1st time on my own. Never a good experience. One worker kept talking about clients behind their backs. Very rude. Same worker put me on hold 8 times when I tried to make an appointment for myself and a friend for multiple services. She kept confirming the appointment was in the computer but when we showed up, she never booked anything for us. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Read Less

This place was great--I just stopped in Chautauqua/Jamestown on the tail end of a cross-country road trip and desperately needed a manicure and a shampoo/blow dry. Amanda provided both services to me, and she was fantastic. The manicure was terrific and the blow out was one of the best I've ever had, and I am a regular blow out consumer in Los Angeles and New York City. I've never had a bad experience here. I grew up in the area and never went to this salon because it was more expensive. I live in DC now and plan my trips home around when I need to get my roots done/hair trimmed so I can come to Panache. I've been to three different stylists and all are amazing. I don't think going to one of the salons in DC I would get higher quality work. I called on Tuesday wanting an appointment on Saturday for partial highlights, trim, and bikini wax and they were able to get me in. Last time I went in was on a weekday and didn't have enough change for the meter and the stylist got some change for me and put it in the meter for me. DON""T EVER EVER GO HERE! I live in NYC and ONLY visited this salon because I was having my wedding in the area. First of all, Morgan at the front desk should not even have a job, let alone at a beauty salon. From the minute I stepped in the door, she was rude stating we were 15 minutes late for our appointment and now one of us could not be seen at all for mani and pedi, which usually should take an hour (By the way, we were there at 12:08PM, not 12:15PM). As a mathematics teacher, let's do the math. Even if we did arrive at 12:15PM, that still leaves 45 minutes for one of us to get our nails done. With my wedding THE NEXT DAY, you would think they would want to please their customers. No way. Then after sitting through a pedicure, I walked out to start my manicure. Morgan starts in again saying, ""Oh, We don't have time for a gel manicure."" I complied and said alright. She insisted on saying, ""Well we don't have time for both of the manicures, you were late."" Then, Krissy the owner came out trying to explain why we couldn't be seen for our manicures. KRISSY SHOULD NOT OWN A BUSINESS. If this was in NYC, they would be out of business in one day. OVER PRICED, TERRIBLE SERVICE, RECEPTIONIST AND OWNER ARE RUDE. STAY AWAY! This review is for spa pedicure and a blow-dryI went to this salon when I was in town for a wedding and had some unexpected time on my hands.  They booked me with one hour's notice for a one hour pedicure and blow-dry. Julie (or Julia) did both. I think she's a newer stylist. She was very friendly and skilled. A star is taken off for the fact that my appointment started a half hour late because of a walk-in. I recognize that  I was entered in pretty last minute too, but they should've stuck to the time.I decided to get my hair washed, blow-dried and curled for the wedding because it was pretty cheap (about 15 for a junior stylist). She spent alot of time curling my hair. Since my hair doesn't hold curl well, she spent alot of time doing small sections. I was afraid I was going to look like Shirley Temple, but my curls eventually fell right where I wanted them.I am giving 4 stars for the services I received. A star was knocked off because they were late. And even though they let me soak my feet while I waited, there was no offering of a beverage or magazine.
