Been getting my nails done here for a little bit. The paint job on my acrylics is never very good. Even forgot the top coat once. But its affordable and as a busy mom keeps my nails decent looking for a couple weeks. This last time my middle finger was really hurting. Felt like a chemical burn. I said it was hurting me and i was told it will stop once you wash your hands. It did not. It burned for 2 days straight and my finger hurt so badly i had to keep icing it or holding a cold drink. I now have a nasty looking blister underneath my nail at the fingertip. I'm to scared to pop it, worried of infection, and even more scared to remove my acrylics! Read Less

Treated sister and myself to pedicures today. The massaging chairs were fantastic! The girls were meticulous about getting our feet and toes soft and ready for polish. Lots of tools and lotions to make it all happen! It cost $25 per person and they spent a lot of time taking great care of us! We will definitely go back. Read Less

Ugh, I wish I had read these other reviews BEFORE I went in!  I am in town for a conference, and decided to get a mani-pedi to kill time.  I left with the tips of all 10 my fingers red and raw from the blunt trauma they sustained during a fast-paced and aggressive cuticle clip.  Two of them are actually cut so short and into the skin that they're bleeding.  The first thing I did when I got back to my hotel was slather antibiotic ointment on them.  It HURTS (throbbing, burning)  .....  and the girl who did my treatment must have seen I was bleeding and how red and raw she made the tips of my fingers.  Yet she persisted to snip away.  The polish looks okay, but OUCH!!  I'm actually worried about working effectively on Monday because I work with my hands in the medical field.  And I'm no drama queen and can definitely tolerate pain.  Mani and pedi should be enjoyable... I just paid a stranger to torture me for 45 minutes.  STAY AWAY if you value the use of your extremities!! Read Less

If I could give 0 stars I would. I took my mom here for her birthday and we both got pedicures and I got a gel manicure. First- the place was dirty-No sanitation at all! They just rinsed out the pedicure bowls when we were done and sat other people in them! Gross! The women my mom had never put a top coat on her toes and argued with us saying that she did. My lady did my manicure in the pedicure chair instead of moving me to the manicure station!! All of their manicure stations were empty! I was extremely uncomfortable trying to reach my arm across so she could do my nails! Of course they came out terrible! My nails are all uneven and there are air bubbles in the gel. There was polish all over my skin that she didn't bother removing. 0 stars for this place. Will never go there again! Read Less

This place really deserves -0 stars!!! I generally spend every other week here in Ithaca over the late spring through summer, I usually try & have my nails & feet done at home but when I can't I always visit Le nails. I usually make an appointment before I come since there is always a wait (I don't know why)& their quote times are Never on point &I ALWAYS have to school them on how to do my nails correctly bc their techniques & style are Very dated. I came in today & was told I had to wait an additional 30 minutes on top of my appointment time. I ended up waiting the half hour and an extra 20 minutes on top of that. After they started on the 2nd person that came in after me & without an appointment I said I was going to leave & the owner lady kept telling me 5 more mins I'm almost done. So I wait another 8mins only to have her finish & immediately start on another customer that also came in after me & without an appt, which was the 3rd person, I grabbed my purse to get up & leave & she tried to detain me asking me if & why I was leaving &I told her YES bc you kept starting people that were here after me I've waited an hour now when I had an appointment &I'd be taking my business to a place that actually wanted my money & appreciated customer loyalty. I then came straight over to miracle nails which was obviously business at 5:45 on a Friday evening but they managed to get me in a spa pedicure chair right away & also start right away. I should've came to them from the beginning, their establishment is much cleaner, santitary, up to date, & professional than Le Nails could ever hope to be & from now on when I require services in Ithaca I will come to Miracle Nails. I want to save whoever is reading this from having the disappointment of going to this nail salon. Most importantly, it is absolutely filthy. There is no sanitation whatsoever. I called and asked if they did gel powder nails and they assured me yes absolutely they did. That was a blatant lie. After an hour of sitting and waiting once they had started to remove my existing manicure... they tried to convince me that the acrylic was gel powder. I decided since they were going to do what I asked them not to, to leave after my nails were removed. Not only were they lying, but they were very nasty to me when I decided not to follow through. Oh. And they made the poor woman next to me bleed on 4 fingers when trimming her cuticles. When she jumped back they scolded her even though she was in visible pain. Go to Ashley nails instead! I have to agree with all the other bad reviews.  My daughter and I waited for 2 hours.  They did the pedicure after 45 minutes  and then kept us sitting in the seat for about 45 more.  Then they moved us to the dryer!  After 30 minutes more, I asked about our manicures.  They told me that a group of 5 (that arrived an hour after we did) had appointments.  I would have understood EXCEPT that I was there when the group came in, and they asked if the salon took walk-ins - so they did NOT have appointments.  I agree that it is dirtier than most.  I will not go back. I went there a week ago and had a full set of nails put on. The younger girl did them. She was very rude. I told her I wanted them finger nail length so she cut them down just a little bit. I was like I need them shorter. So she cut them down just a little bit more. And said to me I don't cut them no more. I was like what but whatever. Then she kept cutting my fingers they were bleeding kinda bad. I kept pulling back and she was getting mad. I'm just like what do you expect your cutting me. Then she kept stopping and going to start other people. Very unprofessional. Then they messed up my eye brows. So I have had the nails for only a week and 3 has already popped off. And the others were lifting so bad I had to take them all off. I called them today and they said come in we will look at them. I explained again that I had to take them off. Mediocre. Although the quality of the regular manicure wasn't too bad, this place is SO DIRTY. From the walls, to the seats, to the towels and equipment used everything looked stained and dirty. Most of the nail polishes they have are either expired or dried out. The lady who did my manicure did an okay job, however, she was speaking on the phone for the entire time, she was so distracted that I was concerned that she was going to cut my skin. Read Less

This place is DANGEROUS. within an hour of the manicure my cuticle was red, swollen, throbbing, and painful.  I had to go to urgent care and take antibiotics for over a week. I won't even mention how dirty the place was or how rude the staff were or how bad my nails look.  It's a safety hazard and needs to be shut down. If I could give zero stars I would. Very unprofessional. TERRIBLE JOB on my nails. The girl doing my pedicure DESTROYED MY toes. I asked her to even them out and she cut my toe nails all the way down to the skin.  The manicure wasn't awful but when she put the nail polish on there was polish everywhere expect my nails. VERY DISAPPOINTED! To make the whole experience even worse when I told the owner, he looked at me and took my credit card and even wanted to charge me $55 instead of $50. Will NOT return Read Less

Terrible !!!!!! Service is terrible ... completely clueless .... They do not care about how long you wait , and they are careless , they stop working to talk on the phone , they are rough on you and don't apologize when they hurt you ... I had the short man work on me , I had a broken acrylic nail that should've been replaced ... Instead he filled it ... He Globbed on the acrylic stuff made a big bump and kept using the electric file and kept filing and filing he filed so much he was burning my nail my real nails underneath .... I asked him several times to stop that he was burning me .... He kept filing even after I asked him to stop !!!! .. The nail was so sore ... It was stinging for days I couldn't even put pressure on the nail for weeks ... I called the owner to express my concern all she said was come in I'll fix it ...there was no fixing it it was too sore to touch .... Almost a month later the acrylic nail is still on I saw black underneath I gently removed it now I have a fungus growing underneath my real nail ... I have been to this place twice and both times I left with a great pedicure. In and out in an hour or less. I don't love that they put a fan up to the pedicure chair to dry my toes, but at least I can still have a back massage as they dry. They don't try sell any extras either and I appreciate that. WORST PLACE EVER. I went here for the second time to give them anaother chance, not only was the woman who filled my nails incredibly rude, but she butched my nails the worst I've ever had. I got my nails filled & a pedicure. I had to ask her to fix 20 different things but after the 4th time I asked her to fix something she kept looking so annoyed & bothered by me I just shut up & figured I'll go somewhere else to get it fixed. the floors were filthy , the work areas were a mess & the staff just could not be bothered. I was hesitant to go here with all of the bad ratings but I like to judge things for myself. I went here for a pedicure and I am as pregnant as a house. They were very friendly and the service was excellent. They were super helpful and they even put your flip flops on for you as not to mess up your nails and if they do get nicked they fix it immediately (I thought that was really cool seeing as how I can't reach my feet) My pedicure looks amazing! No problems here and the massage chairs are a nice touch : ) I would definitely recommend this place! Read Less

Kathy is great! I love this place cause they are great and very reasonable. A gel manicure is $26 and a French gel which I got was $30. Kathy is perfection when it comes to the white tips. I'm a perfectionist when it comes to my nails and she does a great job! The only negative part of my experience was  the owner told me my toes were dry. I put my socks on and went home. When I got home, my toes were smudged. Not too happy about that but my fingernails look fantastic! Read Less

I've had several bad experiences with this nail salon. I went to get my nails filled since it was the most convenient place at the time. I waited an hour to be seated! The lady cut me with a tool they use and looked at me like I did something wrong. I decided to get a design and showed the lady what I would like. She rushed and looked nothing like I wanted. The place is very dirty and the fumes could knock you out. Waited for 30 minutes as a walk in. Didn't get much of a foot massage. But the real bummer was when the pedicurist drew blood while cutting my cuticles. Barely said "sorry" and had me put my foot back into the bath. She put oil on it and kept poking at it until I asked her to stop. I was concerned about putting nail polish on, but she said not to worry. When I got home I put antibiotic ointment on it. Will never go back there.Since I wrote the last paragraph a few days ago, I got a fungal infection. Clearly not sanitary and cutting cuticles is also illegal. First time visit and I left without the pedicure. I walked in and they told me it would be 15 minutes. I had some slight wiggle room for waiting, but not much more, so I stayed. As I sat down I noticed all their pedicures they were working on were pretty early in the process, so they basically lied to me. This was proven as 20  minutes later, I was still waiting. I got up to leave, but they then ushered me straight to a chair.  I then sat in the chair, my feet in warm water, for another 15 minutes, thinking that at any time they'd get to me.  At that point, they shouted to me, "two minutes!"  so I waited those two minutes, and then got up to leave.  They didn't even apologize.Look, if you're busy, just say so.  Give a reasonable estimate of how long it will be. That's better than outright lying.In all that time of waiting, I also noticed the salon was quite dirty.  There was clipped nails and skin all over the floor near my chair, which was gross. Tina is amazing. Ask for her by name. Her pedicures are the best I've had, bar none. I tend to be a bit ticklish and sensitive to even minor pain and I am pleased to say that she's the best out there. It's usually around $35/40 for an hourlong pedicure and it's worth every dollar.The only thing I'm not crazy about is the building's chemical overtones; they really need better ventilation. I came in to Le Nails recently for a pedicure, but I ended up leaving very disappointed.While I appreciate the fact that Le Nails has comfortable massage chairs for those getting a pedicure and such, I have to admit that the comfortable chair was one of the only real positives of my experience. Upon arriving, I briefly spoke to a woman on the staff, picked out my nail color, and sat down. A few minutes later, the woman came over and started the pedicure treatment. Sure, there's a leg massage with some scrub, but it's nothing above and beyond any other place that I've gotten a pedicure from. Add to that the fact that my toenails were cut and filed to be at least a bit crooked and my polish was done unevenly? Um...not so awesome. Basically, I'm giving this nail salon 2 stars instead of only 1 because of the comfortable chairs and the extra bit of attention my feet received with regards to my callouses (I wear high heels a lot at work, so I tend to have some callouses on the back of my feet, etc.). Otherwise? The experience was just sorely disappointing and I'll be going somewhere else for my next pedicure. I even came back home after my experience at Le Nails and removed all the polish and such that they had applied, filed my nails to look even, and THEN re-polished my nails. I took my 8 year old niece for a fun adventure the othe day that included manicures.  I really really wish those manicures had not been at Le Nails.  We walked in and 2 nail techs were sitting watching TV.  As soon as we asked for manicures they decided to do manicures on the 2 other women there that were getting pedicures so we then had to wait 20-30 minutes. At first my nails looked great, admittedly.  But the women were in a rush to leave and didn't let us fully dry so we both ended up getting smudges pretty quickly.  But then it got worse!  I don't know what that woman did to me but my nails have been cracking and peeling- something that has never happened to me before. And the polish selection is awful.  The only positive thing I can say is  that the woman did put a couple of flowers on my niece's nails, free of charge.  I wouldn't send my worst enemy here. I found this place just driving by. They had clients at every station, so I assumed it was a good place for a set of nails. Boy, was I wrong! I'm a nail tech myself, and the list of things they would be shut down for is a mile long. (Using a razor on calluses is illegal in a salon in NY) But, as a client only, here's my issues:My nails look awful. They were all crooked, with acrylic on my skin, and big globs of acrylic stuck underneath that she didn't bother to fix. 4 days later, and they're all lifting off. Definitely not what I expected for a $50 set of nails.Grinding down the natural nail is NOT needed, and you're taught in nail school that it should not EVER be done. All that needs to happen is a light buffing to remove the top layer of oils. My nails look terrible, and it'll take at least 6 months to repair the damage they did to my nails, despite me asking the woman to not grind my nails, and asking that she remove the acrylic from my skin and from under the nail. It took me an hour to even make them presentable when I got home. I'll certainly not be recommending this place to anyone. Read Less

Le Nails is in the corner of the shopping plaza that houses Pier One, Barnes and Noble, and Tops. I've only gone there a few times but have been happy with my services on each occaision.  I have to admit that I usually go to Miracle Nails on Route 13 next to the Hampton Inn, but last week, I needed a pedi and Miracle was too busy, so I went to Le.My pedicure was perfect. The operator took the time to razor off my (huge) heel callous, gave me a long and luxurious leg massage, and was careful to make sure that I was out in time.Maybe the best thing about Le Nails is the fabulous massage loungers. Each chair has an option for a buttocks massage. It might sound weird, but it's really great...you can sit there and have your butt and hips massaged while getting a pedi and no one will even know.  Very relaxing. Read Less
