I have lived in Huntington for 22 years and have been going here for more than 10 years. I have driven to Syosset, NYC and the Hamptons for "the best" mani pedi in the area and none compare to Kim's. This is the only place on Long Island that offers powder in over 40 colors and does it right. The woman that work here are amazing and treat every customer like family. Kim's cleanliness is unmatchable, they use hospital standards to sterilize equipment. I never have to go back in between my two weeks, there mani pedis actually last unlike most places I've been to. The other reviews are completely false and written by one time customers who clearly don't ask for what they actually want so they are extremely misleading. I do not trust anyone else than Leah, Gina, Kim or Sue to touch my nails and I've tried everywhere. This is the best place to get your nails done on Long Island. I will never go anywhere else. DO NOT GO HERE. I heard bad things about this place from my aunt, but i needed a manicure to kill some time before i my eyebrow appointment across the street at european wax center. i had gotten tips a week and a half ago, so i didnt need new ones and didnt want them filled, just filed a bit and the polish changed. anyway, the owner convinced me to get the eyelash extensions. i had many friends who got them and looked gorgeous w them so i decided to give it a go. This was the worst pain ive ever felt. she got the eyelash glue INSIDE OF MY EYES and said "beauty is pain". i couldnt believe how inconsiderate. my eyes were tearing from the glue and i got upset because of the pain (especially in such a delicate area.) she then told me "you're such a cry baby" and that was when I almost left. She blamed me for crying when there was burning glue sticking my eyelashes together, almost sealing my eyes shut. i then looked into the mirror after my tearing rinsed my eyes and looked like a DRAG QUEEN my eyelashes were so big. i told her i wanted them natural. after, i went to get a manicure. she removed the polish, filed my nails and proceeded to try convincing me to get my eyebrows done by her instead of the european wax center. she was extremely pushy and rude. when i refused she said i was "so mean". i am never rude or unfair to her, i should have just left after the bad experience w the eyelashes but i held my tongue. then she charged me FIFTEEN DOLLARS for the "manicure" (didnt use the hot towel, didnt touch my cuticles, no oil or mousturizer at all.) i couldnt believe the price of the service. im so fed up and upset, i went next door to the waxing place and the girl was an esthetician. she trimmed the lashes to the perfect length and told me people come in telling her they get complaints about this salon at least once a week. it was my mistake getting the eyelash extensions there, but you live and you learn. i will never ever step foot in this nail salon ever again. The worst mani-pedi of my life!  They took off too much callous so now it hurts to walk.  My nails are uneven.  The polish on my toes was old and thick--I complained but they did not listen.  The final result is all over my skin, thick and ugly.  I kept asking them not to buff my nails--but she did not listen.  The tech was too lazy to take off my old polish, but suggested that someone with nails like mine should not use color.  She wanted to put clear polish over dirty nails.  Finally I gave up and asked for a coat of clear polish so I could leave ASAP.  NEVER again. I've been going there for the past 2 years and am overall pretty satisfied with the quality of their work. However, recently I got rather annoyed, because they pushed a "new" nail product on a friend of mine who was visiting from Australia. A whopping $100 for a new set, as opposed to the around $65 I usually pay! Moreover, I reckon "infills" would've done nicely. Why the need for a full set?Then, a couple of weeks later, it was MY turn for a new set. I made it quite clear that I wanted the 'regular' one, but they kept hassling me and I caved in and paid the inflated rate. I needed my nails done that very day and didn't have time to wander around Huntington to have them done elsewhere. I think it's time for a change. I've been going to Kim's Nails for ten years now. The place isn't fancy, and I've been very happy with the service and value. The combined manicure/pedicure special is a fabulous deal. I've enjoyed great service from several of the girls there and fabulous service from both Kim and 'Cathy'. And I can't beat the leg and neck massage for pure pleasure. The only reason I haven't given more stars is that the place is a bit small and dated -- but my nails look fabulous at a great price! Read Less

This is the nail place I go to but I don't know why, since there are places that are both more convient and nicer, for the same price. This place is 80's teal, and occasionally I feel as if I'm going to get an infection here, but whatever, because I'm pretty much guaranteed not to run into anyone I went to highschool with.
