I just walked out of this place. I came in for a Spa pedicure which is $65.00. The pedicure was almost done, I just needed the polish. I told them I wanted a gel polish and had my own color. She then told me it was $35.00 more for gel. So the total would be $95.00. Please;someone tell me how on gods green Earth would I get charged another $35.00?? I was recommended by a friend to get my nails done at floris nails, and for the past 2-3 months i'm religious about coming here every 2-3 weeks to see Laura. I've never had a gel manicure that lasts 2-3 weeks until seeing her! I constantly wash my hands because i work in a hospital.. Love this place. Read Less

WORST SALON EVER!!! I don't ask for much besides what a pedi and mani consists of. These people call themselves "technicians" and they don't clean your fingers or toes. They rush to paint, seems like that's their favorite part plus they charge 3 times what another salon charges. I only ended up here because they are open on Sunday's and I'm leaving for vacation. I complained that my heels are super rough and in between my toes are dry! They don't even soak the feet there. Just barely dip into the water! The manager didn't even care, all they did was talk and giggle because I was calling them out on all the ways they were rushing. The men that did my nails and my mothers nails are john and tony and they sucked!! Worst $170 spent on 2 manis and pedis. This is my 2nd time at this salon. The 1st time I had Tony and he was really nice. Today, Jon was my nail specialist. He did a good job, however right from the beginning he was pushing for a service I did not want. I always get the pedicure spa, and I chose the $45 but he convinced me to get the green tea service. Even tho the description says it helps for wrinkles and large pores. I have none of those! I pointed this out to him, but he kept insisting it was a nice option. I did not want to start my service on a bad note so I agreed to pay $5 extra. Which it was not much. When he finished the foot massage, he suggested a 30 minute full body massage for $45, I declined. He asked one more time and I said no. When it was time for my manicure, he wanted to do gel manicure and I said no. I always get my regular manicure. I avoid gel, tips or anything that means using more chemicals. When it was time to pay, I asked for change for a $20 bill. He then asked me right in front of another technician how much tip I'm going to leave him. Before he actually finished my nails!! I was confused. I'm used to leave the tip at the end. He asked again, how much cash back I would like. And I said all of it. He laughed said something to his coworker in Korean and went to get the cash back. Now I had to explain that i leave the tip for the service at the end. After this, he finished rather quickly. I'm so annoyed that 1. He was pushing services I didn't ask2. It is easy to want to multitask and wait around in the mall. Do not do that! If anyone of the staff says wait then do so....for however long or make appt....wasted 90mins because this was not communicated fully. Clearly, I should know better but in the moment with my daughter it all just melted down to 90mins, no nails. Read Less

Tony is great!  He is very detailed and does a fantastic job with UV gel and tips!  My pedicure was great too!  My husband had a mani/pedi and his nail tech was very meticulous and buffed his finger and toe nails to a shine that looked like polish!  Pricey but worth every penny! My first time here and while it was ok, it was very rushed! I had a gel manicure, was never asked to wash my hands (like other places ask you). There was no massage whatsoever and the price was $35!! If you want to be over charged and ripped off, then come here. They tried to charge me an extra $10 to use gel to make 2 nails a drop longer to match the others, using my own gel!, something no other nail salon in the area charges for. I just went there today and I am so disappointed. at first the place looks nice and clean but when you look at details then you noticed things are not that perfect. then the staff is constantly talking about you in their language. none of them are polite and always look like you are being annoying.  the only thing is Important is that you pick a dam color.   I spent my money, was treated like dirt, and come out of there with nails looking unfinished and uneven.  Jon is particularly rude, when he is doing my nails he pushes my hands like I am  kid.  he did my pedi in literally 7 minutes and didn't want to even wash my feet.  I am not coming back.  but will make sure I speak my mind. First off let me just say I have been coming here for years and have referred people here as well.I hate leaving bad reviews but this really got to me. I was there getting my manicure (after getting a pedicure) and I saw the staff with the managers direction to put the DIRTY nail clippers, cuticle cutters and tool in the "clean" sanitized plastic bags to make us customers think their stuff is sanitized. They were wiping off the dead skin and shavings from the nails! They didn't even spray or disinfect the tools. They have all of the proper equipment to keep this place up to par. The spot is great, parking is great too. Manicure and pedicure I was happy with BUT this is just a big time health code violation. The staff is friendly and I am super disappointed in this and what I saw. I was in shock and I should have said something and walked out. Very disappointing.  The location is really nice - quite large and clean.  I had a pedi which came with a free mani; however, both were unimpressive.  I've been home for 3 hours (and haven't done a thing) and already have nail polish peeling off of my nails.  There was no soaking of my feet prior to the pedi, nor my hands prior to the mani.  The water for the pedi was barely luke warm and my nails are not even completely painted.   I don't normally go to the nail salon, I went specifically because i have something important tomorrow - and realistically I could have given myself a better mani/pedi at home.   I'm about to take this nail polish off and do it myself. This was my first time here, I happened to be in the plaza shopping and wasn't going to cut back across WP to get to my usual spot.While the price of a mani/pedi was high for a Tuesday; there are quite a few places in the area offering $20-$25 specials. Anyway, the mani lasted nearly two weeks with little care on my part, only avoiding scrubbing dishes, no clear coats. I came here at recommendation of a male friend who said his wife comes here in a pinch for a quick mani pedi. My manicure was rushed-no hand soak? I felt cheated. I have been to many salons and never not had my hands soaked for a manicure. What gives? Pedicure...the chairs look old and in need of repair/replacement. Ripped backs, broken tables attached to them. Just looked dingy. Well-the bubbling or spa function on my chair didn't function. So rather than move me to a chair that did function, she left me here. Felt like it was eh. Would have preferred bubbling action. Soap. Bubbles. Got none of it. Got additional foot massage for 5 or 10 dollars. Can't say it was worth it. I honestly regretted it because it wasn't doing anything but wasting both of our time. And my money. Nails were painted ok but isn't that minimum expectations for a nail salon? I can paint my own nails and do an ok job. This place is run down and dirty looking. Especially those pedi chairs. Scary. I could also do without the casino style televisions in here? I normally love this salon. Usually my manicures and pedicures are done well, and the entire experience is a pleasure. I would generally give it a 5, however, today I had a really negative experience with the technician named Jon. He was surprisingly rude and made the entire process feel rushed and stressful. It started off being awkward when he kept trying to tell me which pedicure to get and seemed to sulk when I told him I wanted another (more expensive!) one. Then when he misplaced the nail polish I picked out and handed to him, he accused me of having left it somewhere. I am happy to admit when I am wrong, but I am 100% positive I gave it to him; and even if I hadn't, whatever happened to the customer always being right?He rushed through the rest of the mani/pedi, and at the end when he was rushing to get me to the dryers, he pushed my chair in and knocked my knees, making me fall into the dryer and mess up one of my nails. He fixed my nail, but did so very begrudgingly. In retrospect, I wish I had pointed out it was mostly his fault, but I don't think it would have changed his attitude. I wondered if maybe I was overreacting, but I was there for an afternoon out with my mother, and she also noted that he had been very rude. VALIDATED. I still gave him a nice tip because I feel horribly guilty if I don't tip someone... But I could not leave that experience without voicing my displeasure in one way or another. Read Less

Love this place - I've been coming here every two weeks for about a year and a half and have been happy every time. Jin is amazing and I always make an appointment with her for my color gel and pedicures. I'm an esthetician so I pay a lot of attention to detail and also am really picky about cleanliness, but Floris is so clean (they autoclave their tools and take them out of fresh packs each time) and they always do a great job! Pros: Clean, organized and professional looking. The regular manager that is there is a nice person and has always treated me with respect.Cons: I walked in at 6pm and asked to have my UV Gel filled. I wasn't pushing it being that I knew they closed at 7pm but thought, let me try and see if they would take me. The woman said they couldn't do it so I compromised since yesterday was the only day I could get my nails done. I asked if they could remove the nails and just do a Gel manicure. Either I didn't explain myself well, or she didn't understand because she said yes. I waited because after she struggled to take off the nail polish, I had to explain to her I had UV Gel nails and they needed to either be filed down or soaked (and why did I have to explain that to a professional nail technician who should know that?). She made me wait for Tony to complete the service she agreed upon. I am not complaining about the quality of service because in all honesty, Tony did a good job. My complaint is how they spoke about me in detail in Korean while I was sitting there. Little did they know I spoke Korean and understood everything they were saying. Tony explained to the ladies that next time they needed to be clearer with explaining services and pricing, while the ladies called me a liar and that I changed what I wanted at the last moment. I was LIVID. Whether I spoke Korean or not, it was HIGHLY unprofessional to have that kind of conversation in front of a customer. What started off as an awkward encounter.. ended rather pleasantly.  I came in on a Sunday for a pedi and gel mani.  I realized my pedi had flown by, and asked the tech why she had not cut my cuticles.... She swore she did.  She began to argue with me.  I inquired about why my right foot (nails) did not match the shape of my left foot.  She angrily proceeded to cut down my nails and was rather rough.  I kept mum at the time... Rather unsure as to what prompted this rude behavior.  I was just inquiring... That didn't warrant the attitude. She also did my gel mani.  She asked me what shape I wanted my nails in.  I asked her what shape she could do.. She refused to reply.... I asked again thinking she didn't hear me... Again silence.... I then just simply said to round them.  Gel mani came out nice.... Until she gawked at me, "AND THIS TIME I CUT YOUR CUTICLES!!!"  If that isn't rude... I don't know what is.Finally, I look to see how my pedi dried... Absolutely horrendous!  My big toe polish did not cover the entire big toe.  My little toe had a hang nail.... And as suspected.... She really did not cut my cuticles. Basically, it looked like I did it myself. I paid, tipped (a good one as well), and sat in my car a few minutes processing what had just occurred.  I then proceeded to call the nail salon and speak to the manager who told me to come in right away.Needless to say, she, too, looked HORRIFIED.  She personally re-did my pedi.... And for that I am forever grateful.... But I did spend over $60 so I think that's the least she could do.  2nd pedicure = beautiful and for that reason I gave 4 stars. Read Less

Great salon experience! I went for a shellac manicure and left very happy. The salon is clean, big and airy and my technician absolutely knew what she was doing. My manicure lasted a full 2 weeks and I'm planning on going back tomorrow for a mani/pedi. Definitely recommend this salon! Read Less

This place is pretty terrible .... don't be fooled by the modern Decour. The girl who got a manicure before me was complaining to manager about how they didn't  scrape underneath her nails to clean them up.. Seeing how that's not a big deal to me I still got a pedicure and manicure done... I went in with really long nails. She suggested I cut my nails shorter then proceeded to cut my entire nail off..... She filed some square shape and some oval shape.... Added a pair of socks to my bill..???? $70 and a horrible job done. Read Less

I must say the only pro about this place is that it is extremely clean. I went for a manicure and the woman rushed through it. Granted it was Friday at 6 and they close at 7, it was unprofessional and uncalled for. The time before that I went on a weekday around 5 and felt they rushed through it then as well. I even asked about a gel and they pushed me towards a regular manicure. On top of that because she rushed, she got some paint on my fingers which I had to actually tell her to use nail polish remover to clean up my hands whereas some other salons I have been too do it without hesitation. On a separate occasion I had my eyebrows waxed. One time it was amazing the other time I was extremely disappointed. Needless to say, this place is way to inconsistent for me and I don't appreciate the managers rudeness. She is sooooo quick to turn people away at 6:30 when the close at 7. This place is nice and clean.  I usually come during off-peak hours, otherwise I do make an appointment!! Jon does great massages when he gives me pedicures.  Joy is really nice and polite.Their promo: Monday-Wednesday free manicure when you get a spa pedicure. I love this nail salon! Extreemly clean and they really pay attention and do a great job. They dont rush you and there are about 12 pedicure chairs. You sometimes get a free back massage as you dry. If you are planning to go there regularly and get a rewards card. You can biuld up points and use them towards a future trip there. Read Less

I originally had a poor experience at this salon, but I did go back for a regular manicure/pedicure and had a completely different experience. I went in early, at 9:30 when they opened, it wasn't rushed or crowded, I had a very relaxing pedicure followed by the best manicure I've ever had and it hasn't even chipped at all! I do agree it is pricy BUT if its clean, relaxing, and your nails look better longer, then I think it's definitely worthwhile! I would definitey go and ask for JULIE! She's great. Read Less

I gave this salon a try since it was new and had a decent selection of nail colors. I was wrong. The manicurist that I unfortunately ended up with was rude and gave the worst service I ever had, which is saying a lot since I try new salons all the time. The moment she saw a customer that she was ""friends"" with, she rushed through my nails, applying a glob of top coat, bubbles and creases forming on practically each nail. I address this to her and she proceeded to rush through fixing them. When she seated me to a dryer, she threw my purse on the table with an attitude. She attended to her ""friend"", sucking up to her daughter and taking her time doing her nails. This place deserves no stars but I give one star to the front desk employee who noticed that I was displeased. She assigned another manicurist to me who, noticing how awful my manicure looked, did my nails all over again. I spent 2 hours at a salon due to an employee's careless, atrocious and rude behavior towards me. Do you think a $9 manicure is worth it at Floris? I think the answer is crystal clear. Read Less

I went there to get one nail fixed and while I'll admit, that's not a lot to base an experience on... I've been going to Floris in Croton for months now and LOVE it. So my expectations are high. This place was dirty - Nail clippings etc on nail station (Gross!) and they charged me $10 to fix on nail! Even though it's only $60 for a full set. Long story short - pass on this one!
