I stopped in one day for a gel manicure. The sign outside said it was their grand opening and all services were 20% off. I was greeted by a nail tech when I walked in, she was friendly and pointed me toward the gel colors. The colors were hanging up pretty high on the wall. There was no way to get a closer look or hold them against your skin. Because of this, I accidentally ended up with a polish that had a little bit of glitter. The color selection also was lacking.Now time for the manicure. So many flags went up once I was in the chair. I'm still mad at myself for not leaving right asay. They didn't change the towel between clients. The first thing she tried to do was cut my cuticle. I told her I didn't want them cut, just pushed. So she pushed them down (without using a softener or anything, just dry skin), filed my nails and then tried to go back with the cuticle cutters. I stopped her again, she tried to tell me it was necessary. It's never necessary to cut your cuticle. Sure as heck wasn't going to let it happen in a shop like this. The files they used were, well very used. Just old and worn (and remember, this was a "grand opening"). Files are cheap and should be replaced with every client. They never soaked my nails or really did much but use a dirty file on them. The hand massage lasted a couple of sections (with almost zero lotion) and the warm towel was a wash cloth.. used for half a second. I do feel bad because the staff was all very friendly. But the serious lack in safety and sanitation means I'll never set a foot back in there. I can only imagine what kind of fungus you'd walk out with after a pedicure. Read Less

I am not at all happy with my ANC manicure. The girl who did my nails is the owner's daughter. I asked her how old she was, she paused and then said 16. I had to ask her to cut my nails, and she said "Oh I forgot to ask"- my nails are unevenly covered and shaped. No hand massage, lotion or shoulder massage was even offered. I was really disappointed with this salon & won't be going back.  I haven't ever given a bad review but the experience there was really not a good one. In Dec I walked in (they take walk ins) & wanted a gel/shellac manicure. The girl that helped me appeared to be new as the woman & man in there kept coming over & looking at her work on my nails. She filed my nails crooked & kept filing a few all the way down. At some point I politely asked her to straighten the nails & eventually the older woman came over & took over the manicure but by then it was already done. The older woman said my nail was crooked -it wasn't when I walked in until it was filed sideways. To be fair the older woman probably could have done a nice job but I think they were embarrassed & wanted me out. She finished it & I left. Within an hour they chipped (I've never had one chip-ever) & all my nails broke & took 5 mths to grow back -I've had these manicures for yrs & this has never happened. Avoid this salon. Read Less
