The staff is very nice but unfortunately very inexperienced. Big turnover of newly graduated hair stylists. The stylist I had definitely tried to get my blow out right but it fell way short. I have been here many times for blowouts. The last 4 haven't been so great. I have a medium length bob that I like to get wanded to have beachy waves and the stylists can't get it right. One time, I actually left with spiral curls. I am going to keep coming back hoping that my review will insure that the stylists are trained the same across the board. Read Less

Have gone to this salon quite a few times when visiting the area, made an appointment for October 14, 2017 I had a wedding to attend I don't remember the stylist name I was paired with to do my hair she was very nice I asked her to blow dry my hair straight & then go over with the hot iron she blew my hair with volume & used a curling iron instead of flat iron I asked her why she was using curling iron & she apologized she made mistake I asked for only shine to be put in my hair as she proceeds to blow my hair it is becoming very frizzy I asked her why this was happening and she kept putting in these products to keep my hair flat finally it was enough my head was full of gook I got up went to the register & the manager asked me if everything was ok & I told her I was very disappointed & needed to be in Queens in an hour for a wedding & my hair was a mess she said let me get someone else to help you & I refused I did not have the time I paid & left I was very upset & she knew it. I left the salon and called her and asked her to have the owner call me she told me her name was Jean I paid $45 for the blow dry from hell ... I will never go to this salon again they are very unprofessional I was told by the manager that she would put in the computer not to pair me with the stylist I had I told her I have never had the same stylist twice they don't last long working there. I do not live locally but I do visit the area a few times a year and there is a salon across the street that is very good & much cheaper for a blow dry ! I have visited the Blo location in Greenvale many times and have always been pleased with their blowouts. I now live in D.C. but am home on Long Island frequently. Whenever I have a special occasion, I always think to have my hair done at Blo because they constantly email promotions. I had a bridal shower in New York last weekend and booked a blowout at Blo last Friday through an email promotion. On Thursday I called to ask if they could move the appointment later in the day.... When I went to pay for my service they said it was impossible to honor the discount because I moved my appointment. I expressed to the receptionist that I thought this was absurd and she said the manager would contact me. I left my email and phone number and never heard from anyone. I visit the Blo in my neighborhood in D.C. all the time and have never experienced this shadiness. I would advise people to go to DryBar in Roslyn instead.
