I was charged $10 to remove gel nail polish. No foil was used and my hands were soaked in a bowl of nail polish remover for 30 min. I left with chemical burns on my hands and was over charged. When I said I was concerned about my skin I was bullied into silence. Read Less

After two years of patronage a poor nail job started lifting and breaking. I went back to get them repaired and the girl doing them said she had seen it before. She indicated she would fix them no charge, but the owner had a different idea and said something to her in their language, which i didn't mind. But when i went to leave he started yelling at me and making a scene to pay for the nails. I've paid for every nail job for two years and the first time i have a problem i am disrespected and yelled at in front of all the customers. I paid and left but will seek a refund from my credit card company. I never even got a bill. He is a very nasty man and let the girl do my nails before telling me i had to pay for the repair job. Talk about a setup! I would have never allowed her to do them again had I known i was expected to pay for their failed product. A shame. Went in this evening for a full set of acrylic nails. No one said anything to me to greet me. They then proceeded to slap acrylic blocks on each one of my nails without taking the time to file them into a regular nail shape. The edges are completely square and look laughable because they don't even resemble real nails. I have been getting acrylics for years and each and every time, they file the sides to make a natural looking shape. The polish was not applied correctly and was all over my cuticles. In some places the polish is see through from where it was not evenly applied. When I noted the issues, they blamed the nail color which was a dark brown OPI gel polish - definitely not an issue with the quality or pigmentation of the polish, just application. Andy and the team were nice. I walked right up and got service (midday Wednesday). Andy did my nails super fast. They don't do designs here so if you're looking for a cool design, this isn't the place. But they do a nice job and are personable. I'm so happy I could get in and out. Andy is amazing! But there is one nail tech there that needs to be mentored. She placed my finger tips in the acetone solution and then place the towel over my hands. But then placed her hands over mine and pushed my whole hands into the acetone. I pulled my hands back but she said no keep them in. I explain no they are burning. I received 3rd degree acetone burns on both my hands. It took over a month to fully heal. I wish I was able to upload a picture to show you the burns. worst ANC manicure -She used a dirty file.  She left debris in the polish- when I pointed out the irregularities in the nails and the debris she used the dremel tool to scuff up the finish but did not repair the marred finish. She used nail stuff that was at the very bottom of the bottle so that the finish could not flow onto the surface smoothly and then she just left the poorly applied surface. She then dremeled the surface so much that she did not leave enough ANC to hold up for a day-It cracked immediately but I an certainly not returning to that salon to have it repaired. I was planning to have a pedicure as well but I did not trust the hygiene nor the techniques so I declined the pedicure. Read Less

Myself and my girls have gone to Mindy for our eyebrow waxing and never had a problem. My 14 year old daughter saved up her allowance and "treated" her sister to a full set of nails. NEVER AGAIN! My daughter had one of her nails fall off within two days. A day later another nail fell off. Each time Fancy Nails was willing to replace the nail that fell off, but we were told if another one comes off, just come back in and we'll put another one on. I didn't sign up to take daily trips to the nail "salon". It was apparent that a new hire put on my daughter's nails. She paid for both her and her sister to get full sets. Mindy was incredible, but the person that my poor daughter got was horrible! No only did he cut her with the grinding tool, he sized the nails wrong and just put glue along the line to seal it to her nail. No wonder why they fell off. My daughter that paid for all of this just pulled her nails off tonight without a problem. Very sad. I won't even go back for our eyebrows! I would not recommend them to anyone! Read Less

Ok I've never written a review before but I had to warn people about this horrible place! I usually go to a different nail place by price chopper but decided to try something new.i wrnt in for a fill and change of color/design. Well right off the bat the lady cut my finger with the electric nail grinder thing. Pretty deep. Blood was running down mt hand and she ignored it until it staeyes burning so bad I jerked my hand out of hers. She then said sorry and wiped it off with a blue solution. Ok.. so then I ask if I can get a design. The man came over at that point and says he will do it. He couldn't. I said no problem ill just keep the blue I had them put on. I was ready to go and my finger was on fire it hurt so bad. The man made the comment that I was probably not going to pay now because I didnt like it, which was not true! Now heres the absolute worse part, the woman who did my nails came over to where I was drying them and attempted to put her Hand in my purse to get the 15$ I owed them! I went here for the first time last week. My experience was sub par at best. Went in for a shellac manicure and regular pedicure. The girl doing my pedicure was pretty good, very attentive to the needs my feet have and my feet came out smooth and soft. My issues came when it was time to paint my nails. They switched girls and the girl who painted just threw the polish on and then clean it up with some alcohol. I also saw her diluting some of the polish which I'm not sure if that' common practice or not.During my manicure it was the same thing, slapped the polish on and just cleaned it up on the edges. When I went into the salon there was no one there but me but towards then end they started getting some regulars and I feel like the rushed me out of the chair, they didn't use any lotion or have a hand massage which is common at other places I go to. To make matters worse the shellac on a couple of my nails had dripped down onto my fingers sealing the tips of my nails. I had to use scissors to remove it.I don't think I will be visitng again. $35 for regular mani/pedi. They were super friendly and very nice, but once they realized I didn't feel like talking much they left me alone (just wanted to relax). They have the great pedicure seats with massages. The only thing was I think their method was slap the paint on, and then clean off the excess from your toes. I was hesitant to come here but I was in town and my nails needed a fill.  I waited about fifteen minutes and was called over so the tech could start my nails.  I did not catch her name but she was nice AND she knew what she was doing.  These days it is often too much to ask to actually have your nails look like they weren't done by a twelve year old on bath salts.  This girl did a nice job and the fill cost a mere $15.00.  I noticed the employees seemed to have a good rapport with their customers which is also a good sign.  This salon has been here for many years and I am surprised not to see more reviews.  This will be my go to salon the next time I am in town.  Very pleased. This business is owned by a husband/wife couple named Andy and Mindy and they do fabulous work! Always pleasant, upbeat, and accommodating. Their prices are very reasonable considering the impressive results. They do gel and acrylic overlays and have six pampering pedicure stations.
