Extremely unprofessional. I walked into the salon at 630PM and was told almost 5 minutes later that it was too late to do my nails even though they close at  7PM.  There were 2 clients getting their nails done at the time. There was a friendly greeting when I walked in and invited to choose colors--the color selection is pretty big. The pedicure stations are clean and massage chairs are comfortable and relatively new feeling. The manicure station was also clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly, were focused on my services, and worked swiftly without rushing. Both the pedicure was pretty good and the gel manicure was great. I will try Sunny Nails again. This was my first time here, I think the owner did my manicure, it was early in the morning probably something was wrong or something was going on. I did not have a pleasant experience. I have a businees and know how much damage a bad review can do. And my experience dealing with one person has nothing to do with the quality of a business that's why I gave four stars. Read Less

I was on the fence about this place and kept coming mostly out of convenience but after the experience I had today, I am never going back. Upon being seated, the manicurist grabbed my wrist, pointed to my bracelet and asked repeatedly if it was real and how much it cost. After being improperly charged, she proceeded to peer over nosily as I sorted through my wallet/cash. After I gave her a tip, she proceeded to speak about me to the other manicurist. I love this nail salon I only come to do pedicure and I love Mimi she's the best I always call up and set an appointment with her. She knows I have an ingrown nail and knows how to cut it and get rid of the pain. I will continue to go here!! Read Less

The only reason why they get 2 stars is because I've been here more than once and it wasn't a horrible experience everytime. They were rushing me because they wanted to get everyone done before they closed, and that just calls for a bad job done. I went to school for cosmetology and it's hard to go to salons and not see flaws. They use the same disposable utensils on different clients and do not clean their pedicure tubs properly, I've  actually never seen it done in any salon. They hid the massage timer and only gave me 7 minutes and 40 seconds when I asked for 10, anything to make an extra buck and get away with it. It's disgusting to not want to do quality work but charge charge for it. I say make sure you see their license before they work on you, that way you know they know what to do. You can check online for proper cleaning of utensils so you can know what to look for. Read Less

I have been going to the same nail salon for over 20 years. I moved to Irvington and want to find someplace nearby. This place had the best reviews and was open Sunday so I went to give it a try. They were nice enough and the place was clean. She did a decent job on my nails and my toes look nice but my feet do NOT feel like I just got a pedicure. After a pedicure your feet should be soft, they barely scrubbed my feet so they don't feel great. I just read where someone else said something about 'callous remover" and while it's just dead skin and not callous's, I wasn't even offered that. I will try them again and next time make sure to explain what I want my feet to look and feel like when I get out of there.Update: I go to this salon every few months when I'm short on time. They are ok, nothing great. Additionally, although they have a sign that reads $25 for manicure and pedicure, they will charge you $50 (double) if you put gel in just your nails. This is my go-to nail salon. They can get a little pricy when it comes to certain things (fill ins are $25 compared to the usual $15-$18 around the area) but that doesn't really concern me because I don't get full sets.They are conveniently located for me, and have a private lot which is great because that street is heavily ticketed for meters, like cops will wait for them to expire and then ticket you, no joke.The staff is a little edgy sometimes, some of the ladies are certainly nicer/gentler than others but they all do a pretty good job...but they definitely won't go out of their way for you unless you are paying for it, like they won't even scrub off dead skin even if it's noticeable and incredibly simple to do, because that would be considered a callus treatment LOL...whatever, I've always liked my mani/pedis and they have a great selection of colors. My gel manicures last over two weeks, and sometimes when they're in the mood, they give some pretty killer massages after all is said and done. Everything is pretty updated and I've never had to wait to be accommodated...they are clean and sanitary and that's enough to keep me coming. Read Less

Sorry about Cait's bad experience.  Sounds weird and rare to me - maybe a language problem?  Certainly not something Karen, the manager, would ever do or allow.  My guess is she wasn't there when it happened. I really loved this place. Have been going for years. Long story short, they took my nails polishes out of my box, and put them on the shelves for the public to use. When I confronted the issue (in a very nice way considering the nail polishes were practically empty and were full the last time I was there), the staff offered no apology, I mean not even an "I'm sorry..".  As if thats not enough, I received THE WORST attitude like it was my fault. Spent a lot of money at this place, and really loved the girl who did my nails, but they have the worst attitudes ever, and I will never be going back. Read Less
