Took my daughter. We got told because it was her first time she could get a free manicure. So I said ok. Then everything was going fine with our pedicures. Got to my nails and the lady cut my finger open with the grinder/file. Made me bleed. She acted like nothing happened.... pissed me off but I let it slide. I used to love coming here. Today was definitely my last time. Not good customer service every time I go. Spend 50 dollars on a pedicure to not be treated right. Every request seems like a major deal to them. They definitely don’t like doing designs. Everytime it’s a big fuss and inconcience to them. This place was my go to since they opened. I was even driving an hour each way to go. But the last 2 times I have been were terrible! I gave them the benefit of the doubt because everyone has bad days. My mind has changed after today it's obvious they rush through just to collect your money, they could careless if you are happy with the end result. Today was the icing on the cake. I will never go back. The owner (man) was beyond rude to a young lady that had came in with nail...s he had just done 2 days ago and they were terrible. She made it known many times she was willing to pay she just wanted them fixed. The owner proceeded to yell and the young lady to the point she had to call her boyfriend in. When the girl and boyfriend left the owner followed them to the truck as if he was ready to fight. Mind you he was doing my daughters nails at the time and rudely got up and walked out, then the rest of the staff and the wife followed. If he had spoke to me in the manner he spoke to her I probably would have smacked him! I think HE forgets he owns a spa which is a place people come to relax not listen to his rude comments because he couldn't accept he did a horrible job on her nails. But I think it's the normal for this place considering our last trip my daughter and I got manicures and never even had our cuticles trimmed or hands lotioned. Do not come here. I've come a couple times w my mom and sister but today is my last. They are rude and do not take good care of their customers. I came in for a pedicure and for SNS nails. They rush through my pedicure every single time. They aren't nice and delicate when moving your feet they just slam them around which I find very rude. It came time for my manicure w SNS which costs $38 so you would think they would last. The whole time throughout the manicure my hands were aggressively moved and swatted around. Not once did he move my hand gently or speak a word to me. Not even an hour after I left my nail broke. I came back the next day to have them repair it and I have been sitting here for 35 minutes and counting. My nail could have been easily fixed in 20 minutes but they are focusing on other customers who walked in 15 minutes after me. I am so fed up with this business and how they run. I've been going here for over 2 years now, and I love it! It's the best nail place in Cortland, I've checked others out just to be sure. I go once a month for UV gel fills. I always make an appointment because they are always busy. Everyone is friendly and happy to help me choose my nail color. They were kind and did an ok job. They overflowed my god moms pedi tub and soaked her shoes and socks and filled my pedi tub with cold water. The women who did my toes fixed it but didn't do so good on painting my toes. Also got a chair massage and to be completely honest it hurt more than it felt good and today my back is in more pain than it was when I went in. Was very rushed. I have gone to TJ's since they opened and usually i enjoy it but i had made 5 reservations for my kids, best friend and i to get pedis for my bday but they were very rushed and all 5 of us were done in less than 15 mins. I didnt realize bday special could only be used 2 days before or after bday. Mine is the 15th but yesterday was the only time we could go because of work schedules and they didnt honor it. Didnt like the experience... Went to get a fill.. Very expensive... Charge for literally every little thing.....and i know it normally is extra for gel polish but it was a little ridiculous....then they were gunna charge to cut them down... Charged for things thats usually included everywhere else... Idk didnt talk at all.. This was my first time going to TJ'S. My boyfriends mom, grandma, daughter and I all went. We had a great time. We all went all out and got the foot massage and arm/hand massages and they were amazing. It was the first time at a nail salon for my boyfriends daughter and she was scared, well a guy came over to do her toenails and she instantly started crying because she wanted a girl, the guy instantly switched with a girl with full understanding and no judgement towards her. I didn't even want to give it one star. It is the worst quality pedicure and manicure I have ever received. I go to a nail spa biweekly in Auburn where they spend an hour on your pedicure and actually make sure you enjoy yourself. This place has lazy employees that fail to care about the consumer. It is and always will be a total waste of time and money. My gel nails were ruined within two days due to lack of care and skill. My pedicure was butchered and I left with only 3/4 of my nails painted on each toe because they were too lazy to actually paint the sides of my nails and do two extra strokes. Everything is rushed because they want to make a quick dollar. I dislike this place entirely. I went two times because I had a gift card and felt bad not fulfilling the use of my Christmas gift. When TJ's first opened, I loved it. They gave great pedicures & there was never a wait.Now however, I am very disappointed!!! I went to have acrylics done a few weeks ago & after waiting for over a hour, the guy only spent a 1/2 hour on my nails & they looked horrible! They didn't paint my cuticles or side of my nails. I went to Jimmy's, which is my usual place last week, and my tech couldn't believe the shoddy job they did & spend an hour & a half fixing them (& only charged me $15). Go to Jimmy's!!!!!!!!! At first I was skeptical with so many positive reviews, but honestly if I could give more that 5 stars I would!! I had an AMAZING lavender pedicure! The water was just right, the technician was friendly, polite, gentle-but thorough, and beyond relaxing! I received the best care and service imaginable! After receiving a great pedicure, massage with hot stones (that were the perfect temp.), I also received a shoulder and neck message all for an extremely reasonable (and honestly cheap) price. I had been wanting to treat my grandmother to a pedicure, and we made plans to go to TJ's the next time I was in town. I took her in yesterday, and the lovely staff treated my grandmother like a queen. They helped her get into the pedicure chair and accommodated to her needs, which they went out of their way to do. Our pedicures were wonderful, and I really enjoyed talking to the very friendly and sweet staff there. The prices are very inexpensive and the salon is roomy, comfortable and clean. Grandma and I felt like royalty after we left, and my grandma has vowed to come back every month. I only wish I lived closer to Cortland again! Most amazing spa experience I had ever had!Not only did I get in immediately when I walked in on a Sunday afternoon, but I was offered coffee, water, soda, and snacks!
