I have been coming to Jimmy’s since 2010, so 8 years of being a customer here....and I never go anywhere else. I have tried other places if Jimmy’s wasn’t open but always got disappointed and regretted not waiting, so now if I can’t go to Jimmy’s I will wait until I can. The whole staff is super friendly and funny, and honestly they treat me like family. The gentlemen at work station number 1 is my regular nail artist and he does amazing work!! My nails HURT after he filed them down too far before filling in the acryilic. They look terrible, and they are paper thin and ready to break at any hard hit. On top of it, the way he yanked and pulled on my hands was very rough and made it hard to even try to enjoy the experience. I will NEVER go here again. Read Less

I took my client there to get her nails painted, which she enjoys. Because my client has a disability and hand contractures, all 3 of the people working were very rude and one older gentleman kept yelling at her to not move and trying to pry her hands open at a pace that was uncomfortable for her. I'm extremely unimpressed and will never be going there again, with or without her. Read Less

I guess Jimmy's picks and chooses who they want to treat well. They did not make me or any of my friends feel at home. They made me feel very uncomfortable, and everyone I know has quit going to jimmys. They are mediocre at best when it comes to doing nails. They can not do certain cuts and get angry with you when you voice your unsatisfactory opinion. If you want your nails done right by someone who takes their time and focuses on every single small detail, Lisa at sky nail in the Riverside Plaza is where it's at. Now that woman's work is excellent! I would never go anywhere in this town but to her! So for those of you who were satisfied with Jimmy's work, you would be ecstatic with Lisa's! I get my nails done all over the United States, and this was the worst nail experience I've had. I got a simple gel manicure. When shaping my nails the manicurist cut too much off, causing me to bleed and several of my nails were straight and the other half were rounded. After every polish application he dug his nails into my fingers to remove excess. His efforts were in vain as polish was still on my fingers when he was finished. The lighting was dark and it wasn't until after I left that I discovered the topcoat did not cover my color, leaving the tips exposed and to wear off quickly. Absolutely love Jimmy's!!!! A few of the guys are a little grumpy, but I always end up the lady or the guy with the back issue & they do a fabulous job!!! Last week the guy with the back problem spend an hour & a half on my acrylics & I only paid him $15! Fabulous prices for amazing quality! What more could you ask for!!! Occasionally there is a wait, especially on Saturdays,  but it's 30 minutes max, and well worth it!!!! They will also take any customers that get in the door before closing time; for instance, I will get there at 445 on Saturday & even though closing time is 5, they will take me! Read Less

I had gotten a basic Gel manicure and a pedicure for 50$. The guy that I had did a very thorough job his filling, cutting and cuticle removal is very precise. He also gave a very good massage. The only con was that his accent was very thick and hard to understand but he was very nice and tried his best. Read Less

i went to jimmy's nails several times now. they have great customer service and always do a good job. in june i took my aunts, mom and sisters and we all left feeling fabulous! it was a bridal shower, and before i left the owner gave me a gift card for a manicure as a wedding present. i highly recommend this hidden gem. Pros: Good eyebrow wax, attempted to correct mistakes, did not charge for design after multiple mistakes on it. Cons: Took 2 hours and still could not re-create a simple design that was on their options for design. Eyebrow waxing was fine, but they had a lot of problems following directions on my nails. I asked for tips, he painted the whole nail. We started over. Then for my design, two people re-did the design about 5 times if not more. What was supposed to look like a flower turned out more like flames and then tiger stripes. Props for trying to make it right, but I was in the shop for two hours. If you cannot re-create the design, it should not be one of your options.Read Less

My manicure and pedicure was alright. Very reasonably priced for the area at $32 and I liked that they used an exfoliating scrub, then massaged with lotion. The nail salon was lacking on polish colors, but has enough to choose one that would work. The customer service pretty much sucked and I doubt I'll return as a result. The gentleman that did my nails and I had a huge language barrier, but I thought jerking your foot away and flinching was an international sign for "you're really hurting me," apparently not.  Also, he rushed as if we were racing another technician for a large cash prize.  It was the rest of the staff that was blatantly rude.  I came in 90 mins before closing w/ an appt, there were even 3 other customers, but they still closed the door and started cleaning up while we were in there. They even shut off the tv we were watching w/ 20 mins left before closing. They had 4 staff members w/o clients, they couldve doubled up, someone couldve done manicures during pedicures, which wouldve gotten us out faster, so they couldve cleaned up AFTER the customers left. Also, when I paid with a gift certificate, the employees started talking amongst each other as if they were irritated I was using the certificate.There arent many options in Cortland for quick and inexpensive mani/pedis, but I'd be reluctant to return to Jimmys, I just felt like I was an inconvenience, rather than an appreciated customer.
