Hi everyone this is my first review, been trying to post one for this place but just haven't had the chance!I have been coming to this nail salon for years since it had opened.The location is perfect for me to stop by after to go to the grocery store, lots of parking space, and probably one of the most convenient locations in the area. I find that the shopping center is a great one stop place for me to get everything done.Other than the fact that it is convenient, I always have an amazing experience here. Every time I go in I am offered a friendly and personal welcome from the owner-Sam, and nothing but the best service around. I have tried many other places around the area, but don't be fooled- Essence Nails & Spa offers the best service with a warm friendly environment (in the last couple years, a lot of very similar places have popped up- larger than your typical nail salon. I've been to most of them just to have a solid comparison, but seriously nothing beats Essence and their top quality service). The staff is courteous and always gets the job done as they are very skilled at what they do. The prices are very fair for the kind of work they get done on your nails.This is probably the most consistent salon I've been to in my whole life living here, there is somewhat of a wait if the day is busy or nearing a holiday- but definitely worth the wait. Best place to get your nails done around here. It's super big and spacious and clean and everyone is super friendly with great customer service. They have a ton of color choices. Got a full gel mani pedi and it stayed in shape forever. LOVE this place!! Read Less

This place is now called coco Salon- I think under new management? Came in and they were busy on a Friday night. I was willing to wait as I have been here before and gotten decent service. They would not tell me how long the wait would be. Other people came in after me, without appointments, and were told ten minutes and were all told ten minutes and serviced first. None of his was acknowledged until I was still seen sitting there and they said "eh a little longer" or something to that effect. At that point I left and went right down the street to Mist nail and spa and was seen quickly for a great pedicure. I will not be back. Read Less

Worst place ever!!! So I get the spa pedicure ($45) that comes with a 10 min foot massage so she gives me a 3 minute massage no problem I don't say anything. Now she's painting my toes I express to her I don't like the color she's say's something no clue what and continues to paint my toes, fine. Now onto my manicure now they are telling me I can change the color, so she's say you can have 10 minute massage for only $5 I'm like OK. So she' asked me to pay now $60. OK no problem. I give her a $15 tip. She brings me over to table so I can dry, walks away and brings back a pillow sham with 1 paper towel, and sets the timer to 8 minutes shoves my face into the pillow and paper towel and continues to talk in her language to another women for 3 minutes and doesn't touch me, she leaves and the other lady comes up and says she needs $10 more, I said for what(now I had already paid 10 minutes ago now they what $10 more dollars and I gave her a $15 tip for a medi/pedi and a massage that never happened, I gave them the $10 and pretty much told them to stick it. So much better than the other nail place in Commack I used to always go. So relaxing I nearly fell asleep! I went at the end of the night, at 630, so there wasn't any wait. I actually called to make a reservation, but it probably wasn't necessary. The only thing about this not being a 5 is that I wasn't super happy with my eyebrow wax, but honestly, it's really pretty good. I'll update when I go again! Read Less
