This place is dirty and outdated. The message chairs are broken so are the UV lamps that they use for the gel manicures. Considering how outdated this place is, they have spa salons prices  and they rip you off.  The lady offered me a 10 min message for 15 dollars which I agreed to. She didn't set a timer and only messaged my neck for 5 minutes and then she had a never to ask " that's it?" when I gave her a tip. Also they have a very pool selection in gel and powder colors. Very disappointed. The place was very nice and fairly clean, but my overall experience was very poor. There was a coffee station with water, snacks etc. the only thing was that there was no coffee, no coffee cups or really anything else. When it came to getting a manicure/pedicure, I felt like someone pressed fast forward. The woman that did my nails was finished with both feet and hands in 10 min. Probably one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a nail salon. Don't be fooled by the nice decor and furniture. I'm staying with maxi nails in Babylon. Read Less

Great experience as always. I never have to wait long and there's such a wide selection of colors, I always try something new. I have acrylic nails and I dont like them being thick, and Ann and Stephanie do a really great job when they do my fill ins. The salon is super clean and super cute, its a nice inviting atmosphere. I get powder gel ONCE A MONTH!  That's what a good job they do.  My hands always look great and if it wasn't for the growth factor, I could probably go longer.  I never wait and I find all the technicians polite and they listen to what you want.  As for the price......considering I only have to go every four weeks it is comparable to other salons in the area.Another customer wrote that the owner has no idea how to run a business....I MUST DISAGREE 100%.  I had a concern and the owner was quick to resolve the concern to my COMPLETE satisfaction.I would and have recommend Best Nails without hesitation! I don't live in the area but do visit frequently. I visit a relative and we first went there a few months ago. We did not have to wait more than 3 or 4 mins, even tho there were several clients already being waited on. Just enough time to choose our colors...I had a mani/pedi.. (I'm generally not a fan of pedis). My technician was Pinky,and she made me feel completely relaxed and welcome. I don't know why other reviewers said they were pressured to get higher priced services, Pinky asked me what I  wanted, gave me options and that was all !  I found they were fairly priced. I usually believe that you get what you pay for. Since I was satisfied with quality of service, price and staff attitude, I didn't see any problem with pricing. Some of the other reviews I've read would normally have sent up a red flag, but since the relative that I visit told me she liked the salon, I tried it, and I'm so glad I did. Now I've left my usual local salon (in Wantagh) and have made this many new " go-to nail salon ", since I'm in the area frequently. Read Less

I went here with my six year old daughter about 2 months ago. We both got pedicures and manicures. My daughter wanted white polka dots on her fingernails and toenails. They wanted to charge $3 per hand/foot for the polka dots. $12 total for some white dots. We have gone to other salons and they usually do them for free. Needless to say we skipped the polka dots. The woman who gave me my pedicure and manicure was very pushy. I told her I just wanted a regular manicure and she kept going on about how I should get a gel manicure. I told her I was taking a break from the gel as that is usually what I get. She must have told me three times that I should go with the gel and seemed to be annoyed when I kept saying no thank yoOverall, the pedicure and manicures were fine, but I don't plan on returning due to their overpricing and pushy attitude. I have been getting pedicures for years.   Usually I am rushed in an out at other places.   Anne took her time and boy was it relaxing.   Nice job.   I read other reviews and was worried about the wait. It was busy,  but it was only a five minute wait.   It was clean and has a nice waiting area.  I asked about the other reviews and Anne said the new owners hired more people and they are all good.   Time will tell.  Definitely going back again. Pedicure was wonderful, eyebrows were done very nice, manicure was OK, not as nice and straight as I normally have gotten elsewhere. The women who attended to us were very friendly and nice, I'd give the place four stars if it wasn't as overpriced as it is. They are quite expensive compared to other nail salons I've gone to in the area. I appreciated all they did, but I'm not certain I would return regularly because of the cost and not so great manicure. Read Less

If I could give less than one star I would. I've been going to this place for over 6 years and today was the last time. Ever since the new owners took over its been a total disaster. It's obvious they have no idea how to run a business from the intolerable wait times to the tacky black spray painted shelving to the increasing prices. After waiting for an hour and a half today and no one cared, it was the final straw. The manicurists are always so nice and there are a few I have been going to forever but some of the newer ones do not give a great mani/pedi. I would say it's pretty normal to not want razor sharp toenails.If I am a loyal customer and am treated like garbage I can only imagine how others are. The only people who seem to get superior service are friends and family of the owners. There's just so much you can forgive for a nail salon being there are so many options out there.Sadly I advise do not go here. Bad service and all the equipment is old old old and the prices aren't even great. They need to learn how to run a business, happy to consult if needed but doubt they could afford a consultant since they're still using the same nail files from 2008. Before I moved to the city 5 years ago this place was my jam. I used to come here all the time and always had a great experience. I just moved back to Long Island and decided to come back to Best nail. The first time I came was nothing special. They got me for some pricey pedicure and manicure with massage which was nothing to write home about. I also got my brows waxed and noticed when I got home how uneven they were. I spent $120. Boy I miss Brooklyn. My little nail shop was amazing and half the price. I came back for a second time because I am a glutton for punishment apparently. I waited 30 min for my pedi which wasn't a big deal. The big deal was the girl was a little bitchy because I wasn't getting a fancy pedi. I wanted to stick to the regular since the master pedicure sucked last time. Not sure what she huffed under her breath but she's lucky I didn't kick her. Gel manicure was good but they give me some nonsense about putting a nail strengthener under the polish so it doesn't ruin your nails. Extra $5 charge. I got this in good old Brooklyn for FREE! Eye brow wax was good this time but she rushed the crap out of me. I paid and she literally ran away from me grabbing the tip and not saying a word. Think I'm done with this place. Plenty of better nail salons in the area. Read Less
