I got married last Sunday, and Karen did an amazing job on my hair and makeup - they lasted all day (even through a surprisingly emotional ceremony that had everyone crying). My mom and bridesmaids' hair and makeup looked great, too. The mimosas and breakfast snacks (croissants, mini-muffins, and coffee) were a great touch while we were getting ready and made the morning fun. I am so happy with how everything turned out! I've been going to Leticia at Aura Salon for about two years for highlights and haircuts and just love her!  She has done a great job with my hair each time I've been in.  The salon has such a nice and welcoming atmosphere.  I love the charm of the old house it's in.  This past week I visited the Style Bar before a wedding and my daughter had the most amazing up-do (messy bun) done by Amy.  She was very patient with my 8-year old daughter and her hair got lots of compliments throughout the night.  She definitely felt like a princess! :)  My mother-in-law and I loved out our blow-out/curls done by Karen and Adrianna! Very disappointed with my first visit here. Just moved from the City and was hoping this would be my new salon. I was going for highlights as mine were a couple months old. The front desk girl, Katie, was so excellent and even Leant me her personal phone charger when my phone died! The salon itself is very pretty and clean. My issue was with the service I received. I have light brown hair with golden highlights and was expecting my hair technician to match them but what she gave me was bright platinum! I don't she pulled my towel off I almost started crying- I was so in shock! In her defense, she offered to redo them on her day off. The problem is I stay home with my two babies and had no time to redo them. (As it was I was there 3 hours!!!) needless to say I'm not only disappointed with wasting money to feel foolish with this color hair but also am cranky that I wasted my precious time and am left so dissatisfied. Disclaimer: I SELDOM get a manicure or pedicure, so I do not have a lot of experience.I came here because I had a groupon for a Spa Manicure and Spa Pedicure. I bought one for my mom also, and we went together. They only had one person that does nails, so I had to wait for both of my moms services to be done (90 minutes) before I could go next. Then, the manicurist actually only did my services for an hour, even though I paid for the 90 minute deal. She was paying a lot of attention to my mom and really helped transform her toes and nails, because my mom never gets any sort of spa treatments, so she had her work cut out for her. Maybe she was tired after my mom's services, but I still think I should have gotten just as good service as my mom did. I also don't thinks he spoke much english, and that's why she wouldn't really talk to us at all, which made it kind of awkward at times. The receptionist, Miranda, was so sweet! She helped me pick out a nail color (which I am incredibly bad at doing) and even kept me company as I was waiting for my mom, obviously as long as there were no other guests that needed help. She got us coffee and tea and did everything with a smile, and she really made our experience there wonderful! Overall, I definitely wouldn't go back without another groupon, because at $90, I just didn't feel like it was worth it. But that's a personal preference I guess! Read Less

I've been coming here for years. Great ambiance, cute clean salon. Everyone there is really welcoming and friendly. AMY a stylist at Aura has saved my hair on multiple occasions.... she has helped me transition from my naturally almost black hair- to blonde, back to black and now a golden brown. I recently had a horrible experience at a local hair salon, where I trusted someone to dye my hair for cheap. They had no idea what they were doing and completely ruined it! I went to Aura in Chappaqua and Amy completely redid my hair and made me feel beautiful again. She gave me exactly what I asked for from the beginning and was over all a very sweet, genuine, fun person! I highly recommend coming to this salon, the atmosphere is wonderful and the people that work here are very nice. I will definitely be back!! Leticia is fabulous!  She does an AMAZING job with my highlights, and she is the only person I trust to cut my hair. Everyone at the salon is very friendly, and they make you feel at home. I have very hectic work and personal schedules but they are always very accommodating to my needs.  Besides routinely coloring my hair, Leticia has styled my hair for several special occasions and I have loved the result each time.  She did a beautiful job styling my hair, recently, for my wedding.  I absolutely loved how it came out.
