It is an ok place to do nails. A group of Chinese run the business. The lady who did my job didnt talk to me much, which i kind of liked.she didnt help me with colour as well. Just said try them and let me know which one u like. They dont accept cards for tips so remember to have cash, otherwise u have to use ATM there which includes fee! About the price, i did gel manicure and regular pedicure for 55$. Overall it was a good exprience but i will try other places next time. Read Less

I asked for a simple set of acrylic nails and this is what the woman put on my nails. Extremely flimsy and ready to break at any second. She had an attitude when i asked her to take them off and then became extremely aggressive after telling me my nails were like this because of how small my nail beds are. Chad does an outstanding job , he is fussy and anal and I like his sense of humor. Try the DIP it is the best thing out there if you have dry and or brittle nails that wont tolerate the gel polish. I like everyone very much! Read Less

This was my first visit to Model Nails, and I was blown away by the service I received. Michael did an unbelievable job on my French manicure. Model is one of the of the only salons in the area to offer powder dip nails, which last longer than gels but without the damage of acrylic. I'm hooked! This salon is small but clean, and the staff is very friendly. After 5 weeks of midterms it was finally time to pamper ourselves. This place reminded me of Michelle Phans video (for any og's y'all know what I'm talking about). The place is clean, calm and the people are very sanitized. I found my go to place is buffalo :)Update: came back after 2 months and I got a design. The designs aren't top quality but is still good for the price! The guy I had was fast and precise with his work. What I like about these nail salons is hay you can easily walk in and generally you can have an appt.They provide gel, acrylic and regular manicures and pedicures. I have had good experiences here. I like the gel for my nails the best. I find the employees to be friendly. Read Less

I've been going to Model Nails for a few years now.  They do a great job.  Everyone is so friendly and nice.  Lori and Chad the owners also do nails and are amazing.  I'm very picky and Lori understands and does an outstanding job.  I highly recommend Model nails for the great job, great service and friendly environment.  I tend to make appointments but I witness lots of people walking in and they always do their best to accommodate. Love everyone there so much! I showed a picture on pinterest of what I wanted for my wedding day and not only did they do exactly what I wanted but it turned out better than the picture. I'm in town with my husband for a hockey tournament and needed a quick mani. Glad I chose here! It was clean, they were really kind, and most importantly- they did a great job on my nails. Chad gave me a gel manicure and it was one of the best polish jobs I've ever had. He was really kind when I payed with my card but couldn't tip on it. They only take cash tips and I had only $1. I started digging for change and he was so gracious to say "no it's ok, don't worry about it". But I dug and found $5 b/c he totally deserved a tip! But thanks for being gracious and kind to a new customer. In response to some earlier reviews: A few of them were speaking their native language to one another and their kids, but it was never rude and didn't bother me one iota. Seriously, as long as they're not giggling and pointing at you why would that be a problem? I'm going there for them to do a great job on my nails, not make a best friend. I had the opposite experience the last three times I was there. I found all the workers very engaging... And when I joked with them... They were joking right back with me. My 26 year old daughter was with me and she and I both agreed we liked the atmosphere and agreed to return again.  I just celebrated my Birthday and was very pleased to have received a gift certificate from one of my children.  As far as some of the employees speaking in their native language....I have never been to a Vietnamese Owned Nail Salon and not heard someone speak their native language. Received the worst "pedicure" I have ever had in my life!  Paid $50 for a gel pedicure that was nothing but a foot bath.  The "technician" (and I say that lightly) did not massage or rub my feet . . she washed my feet and used a pumice.  There was no scrub applied to my legs or feet and I left there needing another pedicure with all the callus and dead skin left on my feet.  At the end when they should wrap your legs with hot towels all they do is lay one thin hot towel over both legs.  When I showed another technician (who seemed to be in a manager role) she said that it costs extra to do the heels.  Had they mentioned this I would have said go ahead . . however for $50 I think they should have included it in the "pedicure".  Afterall isn't that what a pedicure is? Another friend who was with me had to have her gel polish removed and reapplied several times because it was incorrectly applied.  I will never return and would never suggest this salon to anyone.  We were there for a special day, my girlfriend's birthday and only one out of the three of us had a good experience.  Thankfully it was the birthday girl! and at least the company was good and we still were able to laugh about it. Slightly less expensive than other pedicures.  Some of the technicians are friendly but most speak poor or absolutely no English.  This was the first time I experienced a salon like this: where the technicians have conversations amongst themselves in their native language, leaving you to uncomfortably speculate whether they are laughing about your callouses and cuticles. The nail polish starting chipping off in about a week - definitely not worth it!The massage chairs seemed newer but were scary and intimidating to control.The room is large and not very welcoming.  Certainly not private or very relaxing.  Probably best for large groups such as wedding parties.
