I'm a professional in the wedding industry as well as a VIP member of Groom service-(the VIP service is where you pay monthly fees and get to use 2-4 services per month based on your subscription, which I HIGHLY recommend and I've already converted my sister to be a member!).   I get my hair/nails or other service done at least twice a month here and every time I leave I feel rejuvenated! My hair blowout lasts 7-10 days (that's right, up to 10!), depending on what I do throughout the week. Their nail polish lasts at least a week without chipping, and their facials are amazing & super relaxing!  As a professional in the wedding industry this is one of the few places we recommend to our couple's getting married... Every time we've photographed a couple that has worked with them, the makeup and hair is on point, modern meets classic, (no outdated hairstyles here!).  We find that our brides never have to re-apply or fix their hair or makeup after going to Groom Service. A tucked away gem in the hotel Lafayette, cozy and chic, it's a must try for anyone looking to pamper themselves for their wedding or just a night out.    I hired Katie and her team for my wedding. I knew they did beautiful work because I noticed their hair and make up stylings at a friends wedding that prior summer. It was all easy, emailing back and forth. The hard part was organizing 14 women the day of my wedding, but we pulled it off.     The make up and hair trial is a must. I have a lot of hair, and they were very patient working with me. I went back three times because I was so unsure of what style would look best. On the big day l, I ended up go with my natural look, a blow out, to which I will testify that Cassie does the BEST blow out in the city, hands down.     Katie is an absolute genius with the make up, and we ended up adding two more women's  make up that day. Groom Service is such a gorgeous little salon! I had a blowout and style, as well as full face makeup done for a family wedding, and Cassie and Tiffany made sure I looked perfect. When I arrived, there was a party of bridesmaids getting their finishing touches, but the salon staff made sure my appointment still started promptly. I started with Tiffany, and she completely understood the makeup look I was going for and customized everything to my skin type, tone and color. She was very patient with me and checked all along the way that she was achieving the look I was going for. Once Cassie started working with my hair, I was totally confident that she knew exactly what she was doing. She also gave me the most relaxing scalp massage! When it comes to styling, my hair won't hold a curl or volume for more than a few minutes, but Cassie gave me bouncy beach waves that lasted all night - even through 90 degree heat and humidity. I got so many compliments through the night that it was the best I've ever looked - but most importantly, I felt genuinely cared for, understood and pampered! These girls know what's up and the prices are totally reasonable for the quality of service. The salon is also chock-full of fabulous products, including makeup.
