3.5* for sure. I want to unabashedly love Wild Oleander so badly, but there's always something that stops me from giving it the praise I want to. That being said, I will return (probably this weekend). First off, when it comes to space and decor, it can't be beaten. It has an amazing aesthetic and feel. I also am happy that there is a one-stop shop for so many services since it can be frustrating to have a zillion different places for all of my *~*beauty*~* needs. I want this place to succeed in the neighborhood so badly and always suggest it as a place to go, but with caveats. Caveats below. I've been going to this place since shortly after they opened. I first got a pedicure and... that's the only one I've gotten from them. The homemade scrub was amazing, the technician was friendly, and I liked the paint color, but I didn't really get the pedicure part, where my cuticles were pushed back, heels scrubbed, etc. That's mostly what I want from a pedicure. As a result, I've been getting pedicures elsewhere. I returned for their monthly nail art deals and simple colors. This has also been okay. I love the art they've done on my nails, but when I go for monthly art, I don't get a good "manicure", as in cuticle cutting and nail shaping, but when I've gone for regular color, I've gotten a great manicure. The gel can sometimes be a hit or a miss, starting to peel after a week, or like the one I currently have on my nails, going strong into two weeks with no flaws. I'll definitely return for both because overall, it's been positive and again, I really want this place to succeed. My most recent experience was the one that prompted this review. I went for their eyelash extensions special, getting the Mascara lashes for $75. It lasted...not even a week. I have a few (maybe five, which looks insane) left on one eye and the other eye had every lash fall off. This is even after following every single suggestion from the technician, so not sure what happened there. Which leads to the next point...Besides nails, it can be difficult to nab an appointment. Not because it's so slammed, but because technicians aren't consistently available. My original eyelash extension appointment was slated for a Saturday (when I don't have work) and I was told due to staffing changes, I'd have my pick of a time Monday-Friday to come in through the month of February. The latest appointment was 4:45. I work until 5. Fine for a one time thing, but then looking up when I could come in to maybe get my eyelashes touched up or something, the technician had one day in the middle of the week available until March. So even if I wanted to take advantage of a one week refill or week and a half refill, there is literally no one there to do it. Same when I looked up a brow tint, which only takes place Thursdays and Sundays.Long story short, I hope a lot of this is growing kinks that they can overcome. I enjoy the space and talking with their technicians so much, but the inconsistent product and difficulty scheduling appointments that make sense is the reason why I recommend with caution. I'm hoping Wild Oleander gets to the point where I can schedule a block of time every other weekend to get my nails, eyelashes, and brows done in one day rather than spread out through the week and that their products and services become more consistent than what I've experienced.
