Today , I took my granddaughter for a pedicure and manicure since she’s graduating next week getting her Bachelor Degree. The host said she can only get pedicures today. According to the brochure a pedicure and manicure cost $30.00. Ok, I assume the pedicure would cost $15.00 each, so we said yes. After, the service was provided the host charged me $22.00 each total $45.00 with tax. When I question her about the total she said that’s what she’s charging us. I particularly picked her shop because it’s listed black own and reviews were 4 stars. I was very disappointed, and I was “cheated”. I will never return because I don’t support misleading advertisement, and I wouldn’t have agreed to pay $22.00 for a pedicure alone if she was straight forward. Oh well this store goes on my Blacklist not to support. “MY MONEY IS MY POWER “. This experience is another life lesson for my granddaughter trust no one when you’re spending your money. I always enjoy coming to the nail boutique.. The staff is great and the atmosphere makes you feel as if you are at a friends house with the girls. My nails are always amazing. TONI is a woman serious about her craft. She takes great care of my nails and I always walk out happy! People always admire my nails.. some even ask to take pictures... love this place! Read Less

This review is solely on the receptionist, I have never received services here. Upon first entering the establishment I was greeted or acknowledged in any way. While making an appointment, I was asked for a credit card. Then informed of the cancellation policy. I just think that information should be given prior to asking for my information. Overall there was no boutique atmosphere and a lack of consideration especially as a new client. It made me think twice about actually getting my nails done. 1 star overall. I went in to receive services the night before my birthday party. The atmosphere:Beautiful and sparkly. Patrons receive wine as they are assisted. Peaceful. Calm. The service:The nail tech was pleasant. She assisted me from the beginning to the end, gel manicure, eyebrow and lip wax. The problem:About 12 hours after receiving the gel manicure, the thumb nail peels off. I called and requested a refund. The owner, Sabrina, offered to to repair instead. She rejected the refund on the grounds that I received a service... even though the service was did not hold up. The flimsiest gel manicure is guaranteed for at least week. This manicure barely made it to 12 hours. I explained that it would be inconvenient for me to travel to nail boutique as I was getting ready for my party, which started 3 hours from my call in time. Even though it was inconvenient for me to come in for the repair, I wanted nice nails. I get to the shop, didn't have to wait and had the nail repaired. Great, except the pointer nail peeled off at the party. I felt so embarrassed. Instead of acknowledging a fault in the service, Sabrina insisted that I did not have my nails completely under the in dryer... She insisted that my nails peeled because of me. Nope! I've had plenty of gel manicures and know exactly what to do on my end. I think cheap/faulty products may have been the culprit OR an ill trained nail tech(even though she was pleasant). If you want a gel manicure that will last at least 24 hours, stay away!I will not give nail boutique anymore business. I wanted to love this space but can't. Ok, so here goes.....So I stumbled across this nail salon through friends but I always get mixed reviews. I decided to check on yelp and saw the the same thing but the reviews always leaned moreso on negative side. I just so happen to be perusing and saw that they had a groupon deal so I figured it would be a great incentive to try out this salon.This place is awful. I've been here about 5 times and literally there is always something wrong each time. I understand things happen but the one thing that stood out for me was the LATENESS. If you are going to be appointment based then respect my time. The longest I've waited was about 90 minutes for my nail technician when I arrived early for my appointment. The other times, I've waited no LESS than 30 minutes.The service...If this is going to be a high end nail salon then you need to provide the service that comes along with it or I can just go the Korean nail shops where it's half price. The two younger receptionists are nice women but they're just not fit for a high paced environment. They get really frazzled & are just all over the place. I literally asked on two different occasions for tea (it was freezing outside) and both times they totally forgot even with me reminding them. I will say that the older women with dreads is on POINT.Now the actual service..... So if you actually decide to go through with getting your nails done here, do yourself a favor and go to the coveted sought after nail technicians. It's about 4 out of 8 of them and they are always booked. So I didn't realize until I've been a couple of times that the regulars only go to those 4 women. My gel didn't even last a week. The last time my gel peeled off the next day. At that point, I didn't even bother to go back because why?... I'm sorry but this place is just poorly managed and everyone except for the older receiptionist and the 4 nail technicians are just too laidback. I have no problem with nail salon being expensive but I'm going to need you to deliver that high end experience because simply that's what I'm paying for. After 8 or 9 visits here I really wanted to like and support this business. Two months ago I went in for a scheduled appointment only to be told the nail tech "Lupi" never showed up for the day and no one at the front desk felt the need to give me a courtesy call, so I showed up for nothing and never serviced that day.Following that incident I was so upset I didn't go back for a month, that is until today. I went in for an acrylic filling and the nail tech "Toni" was rude and short tempered with me when I asked her to file my nails thinner the way I prefer (after all it's my nail and I'm paying for it) I also ask her to redo one nail after I noticed a piece of lint or hair underneath the two layers of gel nail polish. She grabbed my thumb to show to her client as if I was making it up and insisted that is was my fault. A successful business understands that the customer is always right and you don't argue that. I was very polite in asking her to re-polish my nail since I knew that once I left the shop it would bother me. She did paint the one nail over but not without giving me an attitude about it. Smh, It's never fair to take a consumers dollar without providing good customer service. Also, be sure to always check your email receipts upon leaving because I was billed extra for a basic acrylic filling and when I called to find out why, the nail tech told me my acrylic filling required more work (I had no broken nails) and that's why I was charged extra. My nails were all intact yet she decided to charge me extra and I now regret even tipping her. Furthermore, I will no longer come to this establishment ever again. The attached picture is from 4 days after my gel manicure... I tried calling the nail salon at least 5 times over a span of 2 days to no avail. I'm so upset especially since this manicure was $40 and only looked good for 2 days! UNACCEPTABLE...I'm sure you see that I have enough check-ins to be "Duchess" at The Nail Boutique.I never really loved coming here, but they're very good at nails. A bit pricey, but compared to other nail salons in the neighborhood it was worth it in my mind. Emphasis on WAS.I usually make an appointment, but since I got off work early I figured I'd come in for a quick gel manicure. I understand that they're busy and having a 30 min wait is totally acceptable. I've been waiting for over AN HOUR to get a gel manicure. Needless to say, I've been extremely patient, checking in to see how much longer the wait is... first it was 20-25, then 10-15. Now I've been waiting for AN HOUR.The Nail Boutique is not worth the hassle. I'll be 100% honest with you. Overall the experience here isn't worth the headache. I don't often write reviews, but wanted to give a special shoutout to this place!I came in later in the evening to get some UV gels removed. The kind young lady working at the front desk said they were technically closed, but she would ring me up and then quickly wrap me. I was so grateful to her for squeezing me in, she was quick and courteous with her work. And for only $5 she took of my gels, gave me a hand scrub, and shaped and filed my nails- the place across the street charges the same to simply remove the gels and leave your nails a wreck. I'm so exited to have discovered The Nail Boutique! Everyone is so nice, and the wait time is minimal. My gel color lasts longer than with any salon I've been to, and I love the selection of colors. It's kind of hit and​ miss. Toni is the best nail technician there. The appointment situation seems exaggerated. And now they want your card information just to book so they can penalize you monetarily for being late or missing an appointment. That seems a little low class to me. When you are on time and the technician is running late, you don't get a discount... Over all it can be a wonderful experience. The experience I had was very disappointing! With a capital D. We made an appointment for our Girls campers to have a spa day with a black owned nail salon and the manager was very unprofessional...We made arrangements for some of our girls to get pedicures and manicures but when we arrived they told us the girls couldn't get the pedicures..they were very disappointed ..who would do such a thing to little girls, ages 5 -12..SMH.. we understand is tough to run a business especially being black..however, I also know that you have to humble yourself wit good karma as a business owner...kodos for having a black owned business..but thumbs down for how you treated your supporting little sisters... First time visiting and I wanted to support a black owned business. Entered before the shop opened. Wasn't told I needed an appointment she just stated they weren't officially open yet. I told her I needed a fill-in n she told me they had two nail tech available yet they had to take their appointments first n she will work something out. First time visiting and once again didn't know I needed an appointment. I waited for 3 hours left angry and annoyed without my nails being d...one. The woman at the front desk told me she would work something out so I could get my nails done. So I was under the impression I was going to be seen. After two people were late for their appointments one of the techs wanted to take me but she told them their appointments are running late. One thing I will admit she did call the customers to see if they were going to keep their appointments but never updated me. I finally got up to leave after my three hour wait she then decided to ask me if I was thirsty!!!!!! After ignoring me, I guess I looked thirsty. I just left n couldn't wait to write this review. The girl at the front desk stayed on the phone n didn't have the best customer service. I'm guessing that's because she was stating they need to hire someone for the front desk. I am giving it a 4 star because I really did like going to get my nails done here. I now don't like it anymore since I was informed in a call one day that because I had cancelled several times I could not make an appointment. It's funny because I cancelled because I am a working full time mom and grand mother and if I could not make an appointment I would call to cancel. I was a very loyal customer and would tell all my family and friends about the Nail Boutique even when I would have to sit and wait to be serviced and never complained.
