If I can give this place zero stars then I would. First of all, the owner is a very horrible person. She honestly treats people like they owe her something! And she treated me and my friend terribly when we were getting our services done. She does bad nails, it was lumpy and lopsided. And she smells like cigarettes, said she was going out to get paper towels and came back smelling like she just smoked a whole pack. Will never go back and I don’t think anyone should. So happy I found The Nail Belle -- the nail technicians were a pleasure to chat with and they were very detail oriented. The space and decor were lovely, clean, and comfortable. The polish colors were amazing and flattering for women of color (my wife and I are on the beige and tan ends of the spectrum, respectively). Absolutely wonderful experience! They are clean and very friendly. And the quality of their service is unmatched! After my nails were completely done and dried I felt it was too long for me and they graciously went back and took off the polish and filed my nail down at no extra cost. Very sweet and awesome ppl. I love this place! It is a bit tiny, but Ms. Carla creates such a loving cozy environment. The place is extraordinary sanitary and she uses natural products. And the mani-pedis are well done. I called for a  last minute appointment because I desperately needed my nails done.  I was thrilled to find out it is a green salon. She welcomed me with cucumber water and took her time to do my nails.  This was not a chop shop. After reading such positive reviews on Yelp, I felt obliged to visit The Nail Belle for a gel manicure after the last place I visited ruined my nails! The looked an absolute mess when I walked and beautiful when I left.Few noteworthy things about this place:1) it's a really beautiful shop which is really well decorated and classy. You can tell it is clean which is not what can be said about a lot of local places.2) Karla is very attentive and friendly. I was offered wine upon arrive and we had a good conversation whilst she done my nail! She was very knowledgeable of her products and what would be good for my nails after a few had broken. Karla also mentioned some good food spots etc in the neighbourhood which was appreciated as I am new to the area. The only reason I know off one star is that whilst the service was great, the actual painting of my nails was only okay. Not bad at all, just only okay.Regardless, I will be sure to return. Getting a mani and a pedi were things on my bucket list. I was specifically looking for a nail salon that was both black-owned and eco-friendly. I read glowing reviews of this place and booked through Vagaro. I was nearly thirty minutes late (thanks, traffic!) but Karla offered to do a mani and do the pedi on Valentine's Day, where they are having a special. I have NEVER gotten a manicure done before, and it was AMAZING! It has been a few days, and my hands still feel soft and smooth! The pedicure was also great!The atmosphere is wonderful, the wine is wonderful. Karla is so warm and caring; and she's a fellow Southern girl! I really enjoy talking to her. Took my mom here. Owner did her nails and she was very informative, knows her stuff, and uses a fresh unopened pack of manicure tools. Very clean, peaceful place to be. The owner is awesome and you can really tell she has a passion for what she does and taking good care of her customers. I'll be going back. Lovely eco-friendly black owned nail salon, say that 5 times fast.  The owner Karla is amaze balls. The shop is quaint with two stations for pedicures and manicures each.  I believe Deanne was my nail tech and she was the best.  She paid attention to my toesies and painted my nails so nice.  The ambiance was just so welcoming and above all empowering. I have been to the Nail Belle on 3 separate occasions and each time I am greeted with the utmost hospitality not only from the receptionist Dina, but the owner Mrs. Karla. I followed my nail technician, Deane here from a previous salon and she has been providing me with exceptional nail services for several months now. I have to bring my daughter with me and Dina has gone out of her way to actually get my daughter lunch, Mrs. Karla providing her delicious mint/lemon water, Deane has done my daughters nails completely free of charge. This is only a testament of each of their character. Moving on the the actual salon, yes it is smaller than what most of us are used to, but the salon operates by appointment only so there is no waiting around to get your nails done here. There are more than four shelves of polishes to choose from. Deane is always creative with her nail designs and mindful of application. One time I asked her to copy a random design off of a pillow and she nailed it. I receive nexgen on my natural nails and you'd never know I had anything on my nails other than nail polish because her application is always great. She is fantastic at what she does. I find that lack of communication skills will always lend a hand to harsh comments. It's important to note that not everyone will have the same experience at any salon.
