Trendy decor and nice polish options, but I didn't have a stellar experience. I went twice, yet only got a manicure once. The first time, I had made an online appointment only to wait nearly 30 minutes, have them take someone who came in after me, and explain that it was because she booked with another technician. Really ridiculous system to make you choose your technician--it should be based off of timing like every other salon.The second time, when I actually got my nails done, it was  just average. From the awesome street art/mural on the outside, to the cool decor inside...not only does Local Honey look cool - it delivers as far as service.The ambience is funky! I love this place so much and I'm so happy it's close to my house. The place is lovely and has a great vibe. I just recently started getting my brows done by Lydia and for the first time in my life my eyebrows actually have a shape. I'm very grateful for her. My heart and soul here is Nima. She has given me the single greatest and coolest manicures I've ever had. She is so much fun to talk to when you're getting your nails done. She's so talented and I could gush over her forever. My girlfriends and always ask for her and have started calling her Saint Nima because she's truly just the best. A relaxing-yet-hip hideaway spa in Bushwick. Two friends and I had reservations for pedicures on a Sunday afternoon (pro-tip: email ahead of time to secure a spot because they don't take walk ins). As soon as we walked in we were offered water and wine and given just enough time to leisurely decide on nail colors before we were summoned to the pedicure chairs. Our feet were submerged in sparkling purple gel, which was both fun to squish around in and - according to staff - super-moisturizing! My pedicurist was sure-handed and thorough, and gave a great hot stone massage to my calves and arches. This has been my go-to salon since it's opening. The vibe is modern, indie esoterica. The prices are right for their unique interpretations of classic services (e.g. pedicure featuring jelly powder to soften stubborn calluses). They'll serve you free wine or coffee while you're pampered. They use their own line of products, which smell and feel divine. I really enjoyed my pedicure experience here. Everything from the attitude of the staff to the execution of the pedicure was really great. I'll definitely be coming back! Hands down one of the best manicures I've had. The ambiance exudes luxurious zen. I didn't have an appointment but the lovely receptionist told me to come back in an hour. An hour later I was offered wine or water while I wait. The manicure was fantastic. One of the best paint jobs I've had.
