Great decor, a place you can definitely relax in. 2 stars for pleasant staff and welcoming environment. 1 star for the final product. The ladies at Element Beauty always take the best care of my nails! I've been to several nail salons in the city and while I wouldn't necessarily say any of them are bad, I can say that Element Beauty stands out when compared to them. It's slightly more expensive than your average salon - just about $36 for a gel manicure - but worth every penny. My manicures always last at least two weeks, if not longer, and the technicians properly soak off gel with care so as not to damage nail beds. They're very good at creating a relaxing vibe here and I never feel rushed or poorly treated. The citrus water is delicious, as is their tea. While all the technicians are wonderful ladies, I love Noemi and Jessie! I would highly recommend coming here for anyone looking to be well taken care of. Read Less

I went with my friend today and the lady doing my friend's nails asked for a matte nail color. She even showed them a picture of how she wanted them . So instead of saying no we don't have that sorry. They decided it was ok to say yes we'll do it for you and at the end have her nails literally come out glossy. This was unprofessional and I was waiting at the end to decided to give tip or not. To which the owner jumped in front of the door and was demanding I give the lady a tip. I said I thought tips were optional and she answered well we always expect tip. Honestly it was closing time and I was tire and wanted to leave already so I made her take a 2.00 dollar tip from my debit card because 1 I didn't have no cash on me and 2 the last thing I wanted to do was have an argument with this older lady which seemed like the owner. The ambiance of the nail salon is very inviting and tranquil. The service leaves a lot to be desired. I was not greeted with a warm welcoming smile nor was I offered water or tea once from any of the staff. A woman that was sitting next to me getting a pedicure was offered tea and water - I had to ask for both. During my service (both mani and pedi) the nail technician was not very friendly and at one point stopped to gather dirty towels and proceeded to take them downstairs. My aunt was subjected to similar circumstances. A cold greeting, never offered tea or water, while also feeling rushed. We are not too sure if we will ever return. Read Less

I visited Element on 7/17/17 and was running a little behind for my 7:30 appointment, however, when I arrived I had little wait time and my technician, Amanda, proved to be EXCELLENT!  She was super sweet and provided me with an excellent manicure and pedicure.  I will definitely be revisiting and to insure that I get Amanda will book her by appointment.The only draw back  is that the woman in charge seems to watch how long the techs are spending on each individual customer.  Still a great place to have your nails done. I came here for a wax treatment and was extremely disappointed. The staff was friendly to my friend and less so to me. She was greeted, I wasn't. She was asked what service she wanted and I had to tell them what service I wanted. I was assigned a technician and she wore her mask the whole time and barely spoke to me. Then I asked about the treatment, I'd never been there before, the woman had never met me before and she gave no consultation. She didn't ask if I'd ever had the treatment I wanted done before or if I had any allergies (say to latex gloves perhaps). I asked what type of wax she'd be using and she merely waved in the general direction of the wax pots that were open exposed to the air (and bacteria) and said "this kind". All she could tell me was that it was the only kind of wax they had and do I want it yes or no? Upon closer inspection, I realized there was no sanitary paper on the treatment table where she wanted me to lie down. I decided to skip the treatment altogether because my instincts were giving me all the warning signs that things would end badly. Step the service and consultation up. If technicians don't speak enough English to to it, it can be explained to the client done with the manager before hand and communicated to the tech afterward. I felt like just another body part to be waxed and it made no difference to the tech whether or not I received my service. Not cool. Read Less

I've been going here religiously for years even when I moved from park slope to queens and now the Bronx! Yes I go weekly from the Bronx to park slope just for a manicure! That's how amazing this place is. I will not go anywhere else! Read Less

They wouldn't know what good customer service if it was in their face. I have been a regular there for months. I arrive 20 minutes before closing time for a manicure and they say to come in and then tell me that they only have time for a half assed manicure because it takes 25 minutes to do it but they close soon and it's not like they were going to charge me less for a quick shoddy job. I hope they go out of business with that kind of customer service. They should have a sign that says when they take their last customer, not when they close their doors.Read Less
