This place looks so inviting and is so clean. The service is pleasant and you feel pampered. However the end product is less than desirable. The prices are ludicrous for the less than mediocre job that is done. I paid for a gel manicure and these are my nails two days later! The coating is lifting already and looks horrible. My nails were filed uneven and my cuticles were peeling right after the manicure. I repeatedly pointed out the errors during the manicure but the technician was less than willing to correct her errors. I got ripped off! The reviews here may scare you but like some say, just go and try it out to see if it's the perfect fit for you. I gave it a 4 star rating because the services were a bit pricey but definitely worth it seeing how great our nails came out! It's important to remember that although, you as paying customers are providing their business with cash flow, we all work best together when respect and good attitude is given in both directions. I have witnessed customers get very nasty on technicians, over small things like a customer receiving a longer hand massage then the customer before her, & then fight and scream when the technicians remove themselves from the situation to avoid confrontation or in cases get vocal because they are protecting themselves. This is the second time I’ve gotten my nails done at this locations. Both times I’ve never had an issue.. Justin did my nails this visit (full set, pink gel). It's been years since I've been here y'all but once it popped up on my feed, i was instantly triggered. The place, at the time, was convenient (worked next door) and I was a blossoming young lady who wanted to try acrylics. HaHaHahahaWhile I did try acrylics, I also was gifted in getting a cracked nail which then led to a nail infection! Now it's my dumb fault. In the set I had before the infection the acrylic nail broke and pierced through to the meat of my real nail, so when I went back to repair it the lady put acrylic right over it. I should've said no, just take all of them off rather than get a fill in/repair.I did ask, though, is that okay? And explaining how it hurt but the technician just nodded and said it's fine. Less than a week later my finger is numb-feeling, I was having inconsistent headaches. It was a mess! I even went to the hospital to get it looked at and the hospital said they couldn't do anything (that's a different review) and to go back to the salon. Going back I saw another tech to remove the nail, initially they tried to take it off with the "peel off" method, where you use another nail to take off the nail from your finger but I pleaded to have it soaked off. Much time later, the nail is finally coming off and it turns out my finger caught an infection! Puss was coming from under the acrylic that was left from my nail and the ladies getting their nails done next to me literally gasped. In my mind, I already made up then and there I was never going back. Again the lady to the left me said "you should demand a free service or something" and I just smiled and said "no it's okay" because "no, I'm good on getting anything else from this place". I go to this place only because they have The mood gel an if you get there when they open, you are in and out. Last week on Dec 23, I went to get a full acrylic set n mood gel. I came out with something that I've never seen or asked for. Alex, the nail tech, put on tips n painted goop on it then painted it with the color I wanted. When I tried to tell him that's not what I asked nor wanted he pulled the I don't understand English card . My total was $62 . I tried this nail salon with a friend for the first time and neither of us were impressed. After we entered we were told to sign in and soon after we were greeted then assigned to manicurists. Both our pedicures were started at the sometime. My manicurist was quite friendly but his technique was not the best. I also cant stand nail salons that use power nail files because they easily wear down and weaken your nail quickly.  But  I must say that I did like the fact that they use plastic covers in the pedicure bowl.In short my cuticles on my hands and feet were sore when I left. I also didn't appreciate there method of removing gel nail polish.The second thing that I did like about this nail salon was the pricing. Went in for a gel manicure. Left stressed and unhappy. 1. She sat me down, asked me what shape I would like my nails. Told her squoval, she gave me square. 2. Time to cut my cuticles, she tried to cut them DRY! I mad her soak my nails in water but she refused to soften my cuticles. She removed some but because it's been some time since I last did my nails she couldn't remove it all because she didn't want to soak and soften my nails. So I have pieces of cuticle standing up around the nail bed! 3. Then she told me not to wash my hands with soap! I had to just wet my hands. 4. She then added the base coat. Then 3 LAYER OF GEL BECAUSE INSTEAD OF GETTING A FRESH BOTTLE OF POLISH SHE USED AN EMPTY POLISH BOTTLE AND HAD TO POUR THE COLOR OUT. You have to move fast with gel! So my nail coat is heavy and uneven! 5.  She then added two more coats of top coat! In total I have a heavy 6 layer gel polish! After it dryer, I had to remind her to wipe off the top coating. 6. She then tried to lotion up my dirty hands! I refused, I washed my hands with soap to remove the polish on my skin and the debris from buffering my nails. This was a very bad experience for such a beautiful spa. I don't think I'll be back. It seems like they have unlicensed technicians that don't know what they are doing! The front desk was helpful! She did offer me 10$ off my next service BUT I GRADUATE THIS FRIDAY! I work and go to school every day. Eh. First time,  I liked my pedi and filling. Second time, my nails were nice.  But i must say that the bikini wax i received was really below average.  Wax left everywhere,  didn't use basic techniques,  like holding the skin down before Ripping of the paper off the skin. She basically dumped a large amount of wax to cover the area and started ripping. I was also asked if I had baby oil at home to put on and no kind of oil was put on me. LADIES STAY AWAY! I've been to many nail salons but this by far my WORST experience! I got a pedicure done and the man doing it was so rough on me. I kept telling him he was hurting me but continued to the point where I almost kicked him in the face (maybe I should've)! It was not relaxing at all! It's crazy to me that even after a 30+ minute wait some people were able to walk in and immediately be assisted. If I could give this place zero stars I would. I've tried this place several times and each time it's worse than before. I gone about three times for pedicure and mani. Reg pedi is an issue: The lady didn't seem happy I wasn't getting a gel pedi so she kept asking me just pedicure. Or so I thought. She gave me a spa pedicure which cost $60. It was a nice massage but all I needed was a reg pedicure. I don't appreciate being fooled like that. Machines use is ridiculous: They always use the machines on your nails bc hey just want to get rid of you as fast as possible . I don't like this and I always have to tell them not to. Seems like it's normal for removing gel mani's at this place but I told them no and that I wanted to get them soaked so nails don't become thin and brittle. There was an issue and they looked at me like I was weird. Also, they don't clean your cuticles at all for a gel mani. Third, my reg mani they also used the machine to clean my cuticles. Which I don't understand! She did it so quick I had no time to object. Mani: They do not clean my cuticles. I come out of there w my nail beds looks crazier and dirtier than before. My third time at Victoria's Nail and Spa and my experience was great as usual, not without some issues but overall great. I got the CND sculpting gel over my natural nails and a Gel Pedicure with a color from the DND brand (best holding longest lasting gel). The CND full set is safer, less damaging, stronger and lasts longer than acrylic. More expensive but worth it. Looks more realistic.Here is what you should know before you go.1. This nail salon is located inside Bay Plaza Mall.  There is free mall parking IF you can find a space but it's farther away. The pay lot is closest to the entrance and it's only $3 to park all day.2. They moved to a much bigger store right next to the JCPenny entrance.  Park in front of  JCPenny. Pay lot entrance is the best (use the one closest to the center stores right opposite Party city and farthest from the service road by the bus stop...yes there are buses)3. The atmosphere and the look of the nail spa is 5 star. It's clean, separate pedi lounge, large waiting area, and has a Eyebrow Threading/Waxing inside 4. The staff are very professional. All speak English as well as other languages. TIP: They go out of their way to please you so if you like your tech, tip them well... (at least 20%) and you'll have a loyal friend and concierge. 5. They do the latest hottest designs. And they can customize or recreate any design like just bring a clear pic on your phone. If u see something online...no problem...they can do it!6. I have an high standard for nail salons as I'm the manager of one myself.   I always tip because I know how it is. However the staff needs to be trained on being mindful. Not everyone has it to tip. Avoid Tony T at all costs. He could care less what your manicure looks like when he's through with you. Maybe if I had done a gel manicure, which costs more, than my regular manicure, which is only $10, he would care more. He couldn't be bothered to complete all the steps of a regular manicure as I observed all the other technicians do. He's aggressive and is very dismissive. He had zero interest to clean the corners of my nails or apply any oil before or after he cut my cuticle. On a more positive note, I've received the best service from Kenny. This nail spa is very very clean and also very very busy. There was a 20 minute wait for three mani/pedi which was not to bad. My brother and friend had a good experience with all of their services. I on the hand received a horrible pedicure. Leah did my full pedicure and polish in less than 15 minutes (i have no had a pedicure in six months). I believe she was ticked off because I decided to put on false nails instead of a regular manicure. (she only does mani/pedi)the guy who did my nails was great but very pushy about adding on services that led my nails bill to be $67. (Tips, gel coating, gel polis, $5 fee for coffin style nails). The man who did my pedicure did it sloppy and I had to remind him to clean my toes because he painted my skin as well as the nail. We then went to do my powder gel where he seemed a little unfamiliar with the protocol when I suggested he added another quote he then got upset and rushed through the rest of the nails. This resulted in almost all of my nails being messed up. I came in at 730pm to do my nails and left at 9:43. Keep in mind that they close at 9. It was the worst experience ever. Two starts for cleanliness and for Pedi but that's all. Ive been twice. The last time I went, I had a gel done. Really sloppy, and the guy did not know how to file! My nails were filled down all the way just to compensate for his mistake -_-I left and did not complain, but after walking around the mall for a bit, I couldnt look at my hands anymore and complained about my service. I've been going to this place for the past few months and if you go , please go to KENNY . He's the best . He takes his time with your nails . My nails last over 3 weeks ! The first row on the right, that guy is a sadistic bastard! He likes to rip the gel off, butcher your nails and then have to use a tip to replace the nail he literally ripped off on purpose after I said file no cut! So someone had to fix my manicure and let me say that the next time, I will wait for Thomas, he does my nails the BEST and for the money I shell out every time I go, I deserve the best result. Ruby did my feet but, I am not happy that she put me with that sadist f...or a manicure. There is a young fellow that used to do my pedicure and I am going to have to insist on him again every time I go. That was a horrifying experience and now one nail is more pink than my natural nails for obvious reasons. The fact that someone fixed my manicure in the same night is the reason I am giving it FAIR, because I went in happy in a good mood and left very hurt and disappointed after dropping $92 for everything because I got the mirror polish on my toes. I give it one star for the cleaniness and some of the employees. As for the work. 0 stars. I've been doing gel manicures for 5 years so I know what's good work and here it is 1 week after I got my nails done and 2 have chipped off already. It's ridiculous. I'm beyond upset. Spent 52 dollars for both pedi and mani and I already got to go to get my nails done again. NEVER again will I go there. If you want to get a pedi quick then go but that's what you will get. Got my eyebrows threaded here.She did a good job.I feel like her nails were too long because they kept poking me as she was threading.The establishment is very clean, spacious, but cramped at the same time if that makes any sense.There are about 20 manicure stations & 15 pedicure stations.The manicure stations are cramped in the middle, if you sneeze too hard the person in front & behind you will feel it.I like that they have 2 pedicure stations just for kids. I ONLY come here for pedicures now and that's because it's fast service. There's like 25 people here that can do the job so there's never any wait. But you get that, fast service. It's a hit or miss here honestly. It won't be a terrible job, the employees aren't the best attitude wise but like I said come here for something quick. I used to get my nails done here as a last resort kind of thing but I finally found a new one right off Pelham parkway in the Bronx called Krysangel nail salon. But they're appointment only. AMAZING nail work at Krysangel. Plus the acrylic they use is much better for your nail health vs all the other places. But anyway, I usually like my pedicure done here for the most part. Nothing crazy very average mediocre job done here. I've can't ever say I walked out of this nail salon like happy with what was done except for my pedicure. I usually have an issue every time I come in with a couple nail techs due to their attitudes. They don't promote good customer service at all. They are very pushy when it comes to getting something done that's more expensive than what you asked for. Most times I have to calmly pause and let them know "I know what I want and it's ok that it's not that" so they can move on and do what I came here for.
