Incredibly rude and money hungry swindled me to getting a pedicure I wasn't expecting to do and then their debit card macine charges practically $4 in taxes so it was declined I had to go to the ATM to get out money which was a lot cheaper thankfully but because it was ATM I wasn't able to get out tip money and once she realized she wasn't getting a tip she was extremely rude to me (cici) she sat me at the nail dryer and didn't even give me there petty 30 sec massage.. so I knew she was a little mad.. anywho after my nails and toes are mostly dry I head out cus my father was waiting outside they chased me out saying their flip flops are 3$ more. So I told them my nails were wet if it would be okay that they out put on my shoes and the man acted as if he didn't understand what I was saying and insisted I pay the $3 for the ugly cheap flip flops so I took them off and walked out barefoot. very rude staff! Waked in to do my nails around 4 as a walk in, as soon as I got there they didn't acknowledge and just continued working as if I wasn't there, when I finally said something the man by the door asked me if I had appointment I told him no he said to come back another day! Mind u they don't close until 7:30 and there was no one there waiting. What kind of business doesn't leave room for walk ins. After reading the reviews, I was definitely leery about going here, but I was referred to Christina by her sister who works a couple of blocks away, but who doesn't do gel powder manicures. I am so happy that I made an appointment and tried her out - she is a perfectionist! I have short nails and I hate when manicurist either try to upsell me on an extensions or how I should shape my nails. She listened to what I wanted and did she such a great job -- that my manicure lasted 3 weeks - without a chip, crack, bend -- nothing. I really could go another week, but I want to change the color. I was so impressed that I asked her to wax my eyebrows too - again, great job. Now, I will get everything done by her. I am extremely particular and used to go to 3 different salons to get everything done, now I won't have to do that. The woman who used to do my pedicures was also great, but was always getting yelled for taking too long on my feet and was told to move it along. She was also yelled at for me not getting a manicure or my waxing done. Why would a customer continue to go somewhere and watch someone get yelled at for doing their job. My family, has always been well known customers at Lillys nails. My aunt and my cousin used to go there all the time and when my other aunt would come from Long Island to visit, she would do her nails at Lily's. I made an appointment for yesterday with Michael who seems to be a popular nail technician of high demand. He used to do my nails all the time, I have always had my nails very short and he always worked with my nails as best he could being that I always put SNS on my nails. But yesterday the utter disrespect that I experienced from him and another man running the salon was completely outrageous. My appointment was not honored because Michael demanded I put tips on my nails for the SNS powder, which he had never done before. He told me it would look ugly on my short nails because I did not grow them out. When I decided to switch from SNS to gel, the man at the front desk let me know that Michael does not do JUST that and proceeded to look for another person to do my nails. As Michael sat there at his station next to the woman who was doing my nails on his phone doing nothing. Obviously the place is not up to par with what they used to be since they are under new management I'm assuming. I will NEVER return again. As I was just about done with my nails, a young woman walked in and Michael spoke with her over a design she wanted on a full set of acrylic. And he proceeded to give her attitude about how the design is expensive and would take about two hours. She told him money is not a problem and he continued to give her attitude about how long it would take. They are completely unprofessional, I do not recommend going there. If you really want to go somewhere nice just about A block or two away is a nice nail salon, someone that used to work at Lillys who was highly respected. It's called JJ CoCo. Read Less

The men running this salon treat both the employees and customers like garbage. Appointments are not honored, employees are yelled at in front of customers and customers are treated just as badly. After asking the man not to speak to the girl doing my nails in such a loud and demeaning way, he told me I could leave if I didn't like it. Which I did. I have been a customer here for 15 years and had this experience more than once. When Lily is at the shop managing the place this does not happen. The men are disgraceful. Went on a Friday at 6:30, called during the day for an appointment for 2 mani-pedi. Was taken right away and we both were started on quickly. They have a nice selection of Essie and opi. The pedi was nice I love that they use disposable tub covers! Could of used a little more scrubbing but ok. The mani, I am really picky about my nails and do them myself so I have certain expectations. There was a bit of a language barrier but otherwise she listened very well. My nails a few were uneven but I would inform her and she would fix them quickly and conform it was ok before proceeding - def loved that! She cut and filed a lot as I broke a nail and was evening out the rest. Overall a nice experience. The staff was very friendly and they have many regulars. All the manis and colors the rest of the customers had I loved! I would return. Read Less

I go there for gel manis, some techs are good some are horrible. They do not honor appointments. They have one or two good people who actually know how to do nails, if you get one of the other ones your screwed. Read Less

My teen and preteen went there (I waited in the car) & they over charged one daughter ($29 for tips and a simple design) and did a crap job on the others nails. By the next day my teen had lost a nail and all the design and my preteens nails were totally chipped and ugly. I went back the next day with them and had them fix it. They did, but with attitudes. Instead of repainting my daughter's nails they simply put an extra coat of nail polish over the chips! Not happy. Will not spend my money here again. Read Less

Honestly, they do good work and the prices are good, fair and reasonable.  As with any nail salon some techs are better than others, but that's everywhere.  My biggest complaints are:  They are unapologetic and  completely uninterested in not honoring appointments.  If you're appointment is at noon and someone comes in at 11:30 for a mani/pedi, your appointed tech will take the customer knowing full well that they won't finish in time for you. Then you'll hear 30 minutes of "5 minute."  So, its all about the money, and I understand that as well, but an appointment is an appointment.  Another thing that bothers me (and this might just be me): I consider this "me" time for relaxation.  They have quite a few customers who come in the front door announcing at the top of their lungs that they've arrived!  Yelling hellos to all the techs and laughing hysterically at everything they themselves say.  I find this jarring. I have no problem with them only speaking Chinese, and I'm sure they're talking about me, but quite frankly I don't care about that either.  So, my rating is based on the fact that they've kept me waiting for 30 minutes or more than I'd like.  As for the hair salon, I see a review here for Andrea.  Congrats Andrea. You can just go to anyone for your hair. Andrea rocks my highlights every time. She really knows what she's doing. I've followed her from other salons. She's so worth it. And if u want good nails to match your hair. You have to go to Coco. Everyone always compliments my hair. Read Less
