The lady doing my nails stopped for about 10 minutes to pick up a call from her cellphone. She then proceeded by texting and talking to her coworker, taking extra long to finish her work. 2 nails didn’t even last long; they got off about 4 days later of getting them done. I recently started going here on a suggestion from a co-worker.  I wanted to try the nail powder-dipping technique as it seemed to look more natural than acrylic.  I made an appointment and was taken promptly on arrival even though I was 15 minutes early.  Lisa took care of me and did an excellent job.  While having my nails done, I was offered a back massage for 10 minutes but she gave me a bonus 5 minutes for the same price.  The price of powder-dipping can be very high (depends on where you go) but their prices are very reasonable.  I have gone back a second time with no complaints.  I believe this will be my new spot for doing my nails and feet going forward.  It's further away than my long time nail salon but it's worth the extra driving. I went to get a gel manicure and as a person who has gotten her nails done for longer then 10 year I expect a manicure which usually includes filing and shaping the nails and coating them with nail polish, as well as soaking and moisturising the hands. However, that was not th case. I decided to go someplace else because I was in a hurry when we arrived we were rudely greeted but I didn’t really pay any attention to that whatsoever. She sat me down and started to take the previous gel color off of my nail she said that she insisted on taking it off with the machine file I had politely told her that it was the costumers decision on what to do with my nails, even after my suggestion she did it with the machine anyways without caring about my decision. She finished filing my nails and just completely brushed off the leftover excess and let it fall on the floor. The place is extremely dirty there were dead roches piled in the corners. Even after I asked her to soak my hands in water because of all the powder from the filing she said no that she would not soak my hands in water because it would make my nails thinner. She finally got to polishing my nails she opened the nail polish and said immediately said that the polish was “bad” and insisted to pick another color I had asked her how the polish was bad but she never responded. I told her that I had liked the color that I picked and that I was not going to pick another color for my nails. She would forcefully scream at me to switch my hands over an I wouldn’t because the polish was uneven and she demanded to put my hand to dry. Overall my experience here was horrendous!!! I've been coming to this nail salon for about 10 years and I've never had a bad mani or pedi. I've seen they've changed staff members throughout the years but, I've always had a consistent experience. From gel to massages it's always a job well done. I recently moved to New Rochelle and still go back here because the prices remain so low for such a good job. You just have to be vocal about what you want and remain stern. The one thing I suggest people not to get is acrylic nails. I've tried getting them here in the past and they pop off within two days of wear. Amazing! On having a look at the prices was instantly greeted and given a seat, no wait and no booking my nails were started straight away with a clean table and a bottle of water complimentary. Worst experience I've had getting SNS. The lady couldn't get my nails straight, they didn't set very well when applying the colour so don't know if she used the formula in the right order. She buffed the first nail and put a big indent in it so had to redo it. Overall she had to reapply the powder to at least 4 nails because she kept stuffing it up. They are thick and were going to be lumpy until an experienced lady fixed them up. No cuticle softener applied at the end and it took nearly 2 hours. Can't say I'll be going back. I went there last Friday for a Mani and Pedi. The place was busy so I volunteered to come back later. The owner put me down for 6. I come back there was still no one to see me. The owner told me to have a seat in the pedi chair. I waited for nearly 20 minutes before I decided to leave because one of the workers had appt with someone else and had to take her. It seems that there was miscommunication between the workers and the owner. However the owner was able to get the one workers to do my feet. The lady who did my feet was Cristina, and she is the only reason why this place receives 3 stars and not 1. Cristina paid close attention to detail and as making sure that all the nails were even, something I appreciated. And then things went down hill....After Cristina was done one of the managers (?) who was very nice asked me to have a seat at her nail station. Again, the manager while very sweet, did a horrible job on my nails. She left a lot of cuties on my nail bed and proceeded to paint over the lifted cuticles instead of fixing it.  The nail polish was clumpy I asked her twice to cut it and she still couldn't do it adequately.  I gave up and just let her finish because at that point, it was apparent that she just wanted to finish and couldn't care less about the quality of her work.  I will try to go again and see if Cristina can do my feet and nails because I would not let the other lady do my nails again. I never even leave reviews but this was so bad that I feel obligated to. I live a block away so I thought I'd try this salon. I went in for a simple pedi and the woman could not even do it the right way. She was holding my leg up in the air while arguing with a coworker and I felt extremely uncomfortable the whole time because the other coworkers kept stopping by and telling her shes doing things wrong. Not only that but she didn't even do enough coats on my toenails, they look disgusting, I had to come home and do an extra coat and on top of everything, they charge you $5-$10 extra if you want to leave a tip with your credit card. I was recommended by a family member to try out Crosby Nails. When I arrived, I waited for a very long time and people coming in who were I would assume regulars were taken first before me. After 45 mins of waiting and feeling unwanted, I felt super uncomfortable but I sat in the chair anyway. I was watching tv and the entire time I felt like someone was staring at me. When I looked around the room, two of the women would constantly look at me! It made me feel so uncomfortable and I didn't know why I was the only one being starred at. I tried so hard to focus on something else but every time I would look up, both or one of them would be looking. When I finally got to the drying station, everyone was offered a back massage and I wasn't. I started to think maybe they didn't like me or if I did something wrong but I couldn't figure out what since I had been quiet and respectful the entire time. I would have tipped so well for a back massage since I love getting them. But I'm glad I didn't at the end because I couldn't wait to get out of there! Never would I go back. I've visited this place more than I like to admit, its walking distance from my home. The latino women are the only ones who paint neatly & perfect, but every service is rushed. The pedicure chairs are super old and falling apart. The owner needs some customer service training for herself and the staff. With so many nail salons in this area your $ would be better spent elsewhere. After the rude treatment today and bloody cuticle from being cut to aggressively, I have wasted my last dollar in here. I made an appointment for a manicure and pedicure. When I arrived all nail technicians were with clients. I waited 30 minutes and then was given a seat for my pedicure where I waited another 10 minutes. They then rushed through my pedicure (I didn't get the hot stone massage that is included in the price) and then was charged $25.00 for the mani/pedi. When it is usually $22.00. When I asked why the price went up, the woman said something I could not fully understand. She kept saying "do you understand me?", while we were discussing services and prices.That was a little condescending. And she ended up giving me a subpar manicure. A manicure. NOT the acrylic, full set with white tips I had requested. I was almost going to tell  her, I hate to be rude, but this is not what I asked for. I'll pay what I owe you, but no need to finish... but I didn't have the balls! She kept saying, why would you want to ruin your real nails, this looks more natural. Well, it also looked very sloppy. Hence, the reason I prefer acrylic. She asked me how I liked it, all I could say was, "its different".  I also got a french tip pedicure. They don't use brushes to wipe away and shape the white nail polish along the tips of your toes?! It looked awful. And the lady sped through my pedicure, didn't even spend ample time pushing back cuticles or scrubbing... I will not return here, ever. I am from California. So, I think I'm going to have to interview my next nail lady, to make sure they even embrace acrylics. Read Less

I was very surprised by how much I enjoyed my mani/pedi. The fresh cucumber they used on my legs was such a welcome after a beach day. The staff is friendly and extremely likeable, they are very fast, but also very careful in their work, which is a sign of skill. The review below caught  me by surprise. Just when you're tired from work, you think ugh. I'm so tired. Well when you come to Crosby nails they have a professional lady there who gives really intense massages. She's great! The chairs you sit on when you are getting a pedicure are just awesome. They give really great massages and help for people whose back hurts or suffer from back problems. This helps relieve that pain. Plus during the winter time, you get a hot warm neck bean bag to put around your neck and they do what's called the hot stones treatment. You feel just like paradise when you come there. I'd recommend this place to every lady/man out there whose had a stressful day at work and wants to relax! Read Less
