I went to Crosby Nails on a very busy Friday afternoon. The owner got me in her chair right away. Which was great, because I told her I was strapped for time. But instead of doing the acrylic white tips I requested, she volunTOLD me to get a gel manicure instead. With the language barrier, I thought she was still going to pull out the acrylic and brushes, and top it off with gel. She kept saying "do you understand me?", while we were discussing services and prices.That was a little condescending. And she ended up giving me a subpar manicure. A manicure. NOT the acrylic, full set with white tips I had requested. I was almost going to tell her, I hate to be rude, but this is not what I asked for. I'll pay what I owe you, but no need to finish... but I didn't have the balls! She kept saying, why would you want to ruin your real nails, this looks more natural. Well, it also looked very sloppy. Hence, the reason I prefer acrylic. She asked me how I liked it, all I could say was, "its different". I also got a french tip pedicure. They don't use brushes to wipe away and shape the white nail polish along the tips of your toes?! It looked awful. And the lady sped through my pedicure, didn't even spend ample time pushing back cuticles or scrubbing... I will not return here, ever. I am from California. So, I think I'm going to have to interview my next nail lady, to make sure they even embrace acrylics. Read Less
