I’m so glad a friend brought me here. Any time I get a gel manicure from my usual place in Morris Park, I am always less than satisfied. Needless to say, Bay Rose is now my new spot for a gel manicure...
I’m so glad a friend brought me here. Any time I get a gel manicure from my usual place in Morris Park, I am always less than satisfied. Needless to say, Bay Rose is now my new spot for a gel manicure. My nails came out just the way I like them - shiny, even and with clean edges. I brought my daughter a few days later and witnessed a very accommodating and friendly staff. I was able to wait for my daughter while sitting in a massage chair - something that other salons only let a current customer do. Anyone who walked into the shop that day male, female, black, white, tall, short ... were all treated with courtesy.
UPDATE: My second visit was not as satisfying as the first. The woman who provided my services seemed rushed and did not file my nails evenly - destroyed the shape of one nail so bad that I had to file it down and reshape it to make it look right. I had to correct two of my nails myself and some of my toes had polish on the skin. By the end of my visit I was frustrated. Needless to say, I won’t go to her on my next visit (sorry, I won’t reveal her name) ... I’ll use the woman who took care of me the first time (that’s Rosa).

I searched “powder manicure” on google maps and this was the first place that popped up so naturally I have to come here to write my review.
Let me start off by saying I’m old school (“silk wrap era”...
I searched “powder manicure” on google maps and this was the first place that popped up so naturally I have to come here to write my review.
Let me start off by saying I’m old school (“silk wrap era” never been into acrylic and stay away from shops that are) so I should’ve known better but decided to give them a chance anyway.
I also made the mistake of waiting until I was desperate, else I would’ve walked out as soon as she started yelling to the point that the lady next to me had to intervene. It’s also my fault that I didn’t ask Any if they service black people when I called (this is mentioned because Amy made a comment to Linda about how she has to speak to us before services) but I should’ve known they were a local shop and frowned upon outsiders.
I normally go to Dashing Diva but my fav tech is only there on Tuesdays and I wasn’t feeling well yesterday so I thought how hard could it be to find someone satisfactory. Well I learned my lesson today! Never again!

This place is sweet, kind, busy, full of very skilled, very caring women, and the only place I ever want to go to for my nails. Its nice here. As of late, I call ahead, but, usually, if there is a wait, its minimal, and you can always go grab a coffee next door. Just left there, and all my nails are pretty, pretty, pretty.

Can get very busy on Saturdays and Sunday. Wish the pedicurist knew how to give a real leg massage instead of having their hands pass over your legs. Amy, the proprietor, is accommodating and friendly...
Can get very busy on Saturdays and Sunday. Wish the pedicurist knew how to give a real leg massage instead of having their hands pass over your legs. Amy, the proprietor, is accommodating and friendly along with the nail technicians. LOVE their Spa Pedicures and Gel Manicures. They do simple designs, but not the most up to date on nail art involving ombre, and other techniques. They do provide a sterilized pack of nail instruments for each use with no extra costs.
