From the moment I stepped in there, everybody was very friendly and accommodating. The signature massage was so relaxing I almost fell asleep right there and then. Ester did my mani/pedi and she was super friendly and sweet. And I believe Nicole did my blow out, and she did a fantastic job. I feel bad that I don’t remember every single person’s name because everybody was fantastic and sweet. I honestly could’ve done without the make up refresher. But other than that it was the most relaxing day for me and it felt wonderful to be pampered. I received a gift card and decided to try Reggie based on great reviews for a hair cut.  Upon arriving I was offered refreshments while I awaited for my appointment.  I didn't say anything at the time but after I left, I realized I did not get the signature treatment elements during my wash that the website advertises. The shampoo lady was very sweet, but no scalp massage, no heated towel wrapped around my neck and no eye pillow offered during my shampoo. That is why I knocked down some stars. Next time I go to The Red Door spa I plan on writing everything down that is offered because at the Garden City hotel during a signature facial that I had last year no extractions were done and my pores did not look clean. For the prices that they charge they should not be skimping on their services. I still have more visits left on my gift card and will try another service there. I have been trying to utilize a gift certificate at you salon. Though it would be nice to give to my 12 year old niece. She lives in Brooklyn and is a student and therefore can’t come during the week. On the phone, your clerk kept giving me options that were obviously not going to work and told me she was trying to be helpful. Perhaps that wasn’t the best way to go about it as I was looking to add on to the appointment a pedicure and perhaps a facial for myself but her helpfulness or lack there of inhibited me from furthering my endeavor to use you salon. I assume that a facial and pedicure is worth a dollar value. If I was looking to increase sales perhaps the question should have been at first, “Are there any add ons for that day? This was my first time going here and I was extremely happy with my experience. I got the mini massage which is a 30 minute massage that focuses on the back, neck and shoulders mostly. I was helped by Cynthia and she did a phenomenal job in the short time that I booked for. She was extremely professional and took care of my main concerns. The ambience of the entire facility is absolutely beautiful and kept very clean and organized. Everyone who worked there was extremely courteous and answered all of my questions that I had regarding my potential future appointments. The only reason I'm giving this four stars is because of the price. It was $70 for 30 minutes which is a little bit on the more expensive side but you DEFINITELY get what you pay for. I liked the atmosphere and the set up of the place. The outcome of my appointment exceeded my expectations and quite honestly this is the first time I’ve ever loved my haircut! Went to this spa for husband's bday & wanted a beautiful,  calm, relaxing environment. That's the 2 stars. The "relax" room is always crowded and there's nowhere else to go (no sauna/hot tub etc), quite crowded w/lotsa chatter. Hubs facial and massage w/Kim were good. My experience w/Lori was far from that.  Basically I got oil rubbed on me for $130. When i asked for more pressure she said "I was just applying the oil". Ok. She then asked me to flip over. Huh? She never even rubbed my lower back until i asked and when I described what I wanted, she was rude "I've been doing this for 24yrs and I dont know what you want".  I didn't feel any difference after my massage. I was exhausted and had a gift card for this place that I booked the cheapest hair cut with, he spent an hour on my hair and it looked awesome. I had a great experience at the spa. My boyfriend and I came on a Saturday for a couples Swedish massage and had a wonderful time. We were escorted to the locker rooms and assisted to put our things in a locker and change into robes. We then sat in a dimly lit room with lemon water and filled out some health forms. The entire experience was really nice. The two masseuses were very talented and made us feel at ease. After our massage we could sit back in the quiet room for as long as we pleased. When I went to go change I found out that they had everything you could need to shower; shampoo, conditioner, body wash, combs, razors, etc etc so I took the opportunity to shower in one of the massive stalls that they have. I've been coming to the Red Door Spa in Bellmore for several years and really look forward to my visits. This location features a beautiful wood and marble decor with high ceilings, very restful and high end. Front desk reception ranges from so-so to friendly depending on the day/time. Locker room is clean, cozy and stocked with plush robes and slippers. But the real treat lies in the technicians who are uniformly skilled and professional. I particularly recommend Suzy for massages, she has strong hands and a wonderful healing spirit. Also Leah for waxing and facials, Reggie for hair. 5 stars! Update to my first review (which I gave 1 star):Came back for a Red Door Signature Massage with my mom and had a fantastic experience! We were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who escorted us to the changing room. After changing we went to the relaxation room to wait for our massage. The relaxation room and changing room are both extremely small compared to other spas, but nicely appointed. We relaxed with some cucumber water and then our masseuse came to get each of us. My massage was with Kim who was amazing! She really listened to what was bothering me and targeted it nicely in the massage. She was very thorough, always asked if I was doing ok, and did a fantastic job! I'm feeling so good since my massage! I will definitely be going back for a massage and will definitely use Kim again. Awful! 1 star: The first time I came here in April I had the Seasonal mani/pedi. They told me to come early to relax while I waited for my service. They just sat me in the middle of the hair salon, not every relaxing with loud blow dryers going and people talking over them. The nail technician was very nice, but terrible! I don't remember her name and don't like to say negative things about someone online anyway.  There were supposed to be all of these special features the service like a red clay masque, never saw any red clay or anything else above the standard protocol. My nails were filed uneven, she kept pinching me with her own nails, the polish job was terrible, and the hand and foot/leg massage was awful. Also, the pedicure chairs were so uncomfortable! I found myself wanting for it to be over, seriously missing my local nail salon, feeling terrible that my husband wasted his money on this gift, and regretting all of the gift certificates I've gotten my mom for here. I will never come here again for my nails. It cost $130 for an awful experience. I get a much better mani and spa pedi at my local salon for anywhere from $37-57. Read Less

I have been to the Red Door Spa in Bellmore many times, and it is always a positive experience. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. As you get to know them, you will find out that they are also very interesting and very involved in their profession. Stacy is especially good. I had my color done at The Red Door for the first time last week. Meghan spent time to consult with me beforehand to determine what I wanted and needed. The actual day of the service Meghan told me what her ideas were and asked if I liked them. She had very good suggestions, and I felt confident that I would like the final results. So, I put myself in her hands and could not have been happier with the final look. It was just okay. I've been to many spas and I was truthfully not impressed. I didn't like that during the body treatment you have to get up walk to the bathroom and rinse off in the showers. I have gotten 2 massages from this spa- the signature and hot stone. Both were very nice, I think I liked the hot stone a little more. The masseuses are very nice and accommodating. I had a previous not so great experience however the manager Jennifer reached out to me and made everything right the spa itself is very clean, beautiful, inviting and comfortable. Cynthia my massage therapist is awesome and I will continue to go to her. As a lic esthetician I use the Elizabeth Arden skincare products and I love them! After my massage I went for a facial today with Ida who was incredible best facial I've ever had I will certainly be back to see her! I think I would have enjoyed my experience more if it was not so crowded when I came. I had booked a massage and when I went into the changing room it was so full and I felt completely cramped while changing. There were also people being loud while in there and in the relaxation room. This took away from some of the more positive aspects of the experience. The massage: the massage was wonderful and the therapist was great at was she did. She was beyond amazing and truly helped with the pain I was in. My daughter had a facial with Leah, who she has had about 20 times with before. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!I'm not a glam gal by any means. However, I've been dying to try a facial for the longest time. My prayers were answered when I got a gift card to Red Door for my birthday. While all 3 locations are more or less equidistant to my house, I chose Bellmore based on the rave reviews....Yelpers, you didn't steer me wrong!I arrived to my appointment with a friend who didn't have an appt. They were booked solid that day in the spa, but accomodated her in the hair salon for a hair treatment. The front desk receptionists were all friendly enough -- some more welcoming than others.Spas always smell amazing to me, and Red Door was no exception. They had this intoxicating scent pumping through the spa that was just so relaxing. Their robes are so luxurious and soft! I felt like a queen. I requested Ida for my Arden Standard facial and she was amazing!! I told her it was my first time, so she walked me through the process and gave me expert advice for my skin. She massaged, steamed, and used wonderful magical whips and serums on my face.... I was in heaven! I even got a neck, shoulder and arm massage (rookie me didn't know and had all my bracelets and watch on, but Ida worked around them). Although I didn't get any extraction done, she said it was probably a good thing since it was my first time and extraction can be too intense if you're not used to it.My skin was literally GLOWING afterwards. She pulled several products for me to check out, but I decided to wait on purchasing them. I would definitely recommend Ida for anyone getting a facial!And as for my friend...she was still getting pampered after my session was over! I was never disappointed coming here or to any of the locations. I first went to the one in Atlantic city which by far has the best relaxation room. They had a jacuzzi and much more! In Bellmore Andrea was amazing! She recommended the proper haircut I needed at this time and color options. They offered water and coffee and the service was extremely nice and accommodating. Of course the ambiance is upscale and you feel like royalty. The relaxation room was intimate with a nice fireplace and dim lit. The products they use are top of the line as well. They recommend products but they were not pushy at all. The makeup artist was great too. It was included when I went over the week but on Friday it was too busy for it. Either way..
