Let me start off by saying the industrial lighting does not flatter the fake green marble tables and the lavender crown moulding. Anyway, because Halloween was coming up, I wanted black nails with an orange half moon at the base of each nail. I set down my colors and my manicurist (male) didn't comment. He did the pre-painting stuff pretty well (lotion, base coat, etc.), and then asked to be paid for the manicure beforehand, which I honestly didn't mind. But when I explained the design I wanted, he was so unfathomed by the concept of putting a half circle at the base of your nail that he asked the manicurist next to him about it. She then warned me that a French manicure was $20 extra. So I had to explain to her that I wasn't getting a French, and just some simple nail art. But it wasn't until AFTER I said this that my manicurist told me that getting a 2nd color is 5$ EXTRA, even though he SAW me put 2 colors on the table. I was pretty upset by this since my usual salon, Gorgeous Nails, lets you get as many colors as you want for free. I settled for only orange on my nails and the painting came out flawless (considering it was just one color). I was then escorted to a drying station, coated in more fake marble, where I was offered a massage. I gladly accepted, and was starting to enjoy it. Until the masseuse and her friends started goofing off and became the loudest people in the room. It's one thing if you're just simply chatting while you're working, but when it comes to the point where you and your buddies are literally CHASING EACH OTHER in a professional setting, it becomes an issue.Overall, I like the way my nails came out, even though it wasn't what I wanted, and I'll probably go there in the future only in the event of an emergency.
