Clean and bright inside. Went to get gel manicure and regular pedicure before vacation. I requested a pineapple on my ring finger so I showed my manicurist a photo on my phone. 3 different girls worked on my nails to create the perfect design (one did the polish, one did the steady lines, and one assisted), talk about team work!! I really wanted to like this place because it has such solid reviews but I got my nails done yesterday and they're already chipping. A gel manicure should not chip after one day. Most gel manicures don't chip after two weeks. It started off when I was getting my pedicure done. I came in with my Korean friend who is a regular. I guess they assumed I was Korean too but guess what? I speak Chinese the same as they do. My pedicurist was saying rude comments about the shape of my feet. That was strike one. But it's fine because I'm well aware of Chinese culture and how blunt they can be. I continued on and went to get my manicure done by the same woman. The shaping was lazy and I think her personal philosophy is to not over trim the cuticles. I personally prefer to cut off as much as I can but I understand some believe it's healthier to leave it because it might grow back thicker. Alright. I asked her to reshape one of my nails as I thought it was overtly different from the rest. The rest of the nails were shaped similarly enough. Strike two came when she was finished painting my nails and I took a look at them. The coats were uneven but on my thumb I could see there was some sort of debris or dust caught underneath that created a bump. When I showed her, instead of redoing the nail, she decided to take the cuticle trimmer and cut it off. It took her multiple efforts to cut it off and when she did, it left a hole in the polish which she semi resolved by putting another layer of clear top coat on.....you could still see the hole but at this point I was feeling pretty defeated. I paid, tipped her the typical 20% (actually slightly above 20%), and called it a day. Today as I inspect my nails I see chips beginning to form. Not necessarily because of the way the manicurist did the nails but my suspicion is that the nail polish is of cheap quality. I had an inkling that this might happen when I saw the tacky box that the polish came in. I should've changed my mind on the color then but ignored my gut as I wasn't able to see the polish bottles, just the sample nails on the ring. This is where I draw the line. If I'm going to get a gel manicure, it better last more than one day. Otherwise I would've just gotten a regular mani pedi at my local salon for $13 ( weekday combos are pretty cheap on Jamaica ave. no massages, no frills, just a mani pedi -you get what you pay for) Anyway, my point is that a salon shouldn't be offering these cheap polishes to their customers if it's not even going to last a day. It's irresponsible and just wastes my time. I like getting manicures and pedicures but they are pretty time consuming so I try to limit it as much as possible. This is a PSA for you other girls thinking about getting a manicure here. If you're the type that expects a uniformed and long lasting manicure, like myself, I'd suggest you go to Astoria. It's a little far and parking isn't great but damn the manicures come out perfect each time and last EASILY two weeks +. Skip this place and get your time and money's worth elsewhere. Read Less

Loved this place. The lady spent so much care on each nail and it came out perfect. The price is better than all the other places nearby it's $38 for gel mani + regular pedi, I paid $1.71 for credit card tax. The person that did my nails didn't speak much english but it didn't matter because I can speak the language. Everyone was so sweet and nice. There's plastic around the pedi stations so it's clean for next person, all equipment is cleaned and taken out of a case each time, not a spot of dirt. Oh and they already have matching colors for regular pedis if you choose gel mani! Read Less

I walked in without an appointment and had to wait like 5 minutes. I was in a rush so I just needed a quick pedicure.  They put me with a girl who barely cut my nails and just basically was afraid to touch me. She also took extra long and her hands were shaking so by the time I was ready for polish, she was replaced by a more experienced tech. She was also slow since two patrons who started after me were done before me.The atmosphere is very cozy and modern and there was good sanitizing going on. My new favorite salon of all time! I have been to Lush twice and had wonderful experiences both times. My first pedicure with them was amazing, so clean! They put plastic over each sink and then pour the water in, that way its 100% clean for each client. They even have these little cuticle oil beads that are indiviual for each customer. I cant rave enough how clean they are.Today I had gel manicure with Jenny, who is so amazing. She nailed my manicure just how i love it and no one else has done that for me in very long time. I asked for square nails and she made them square! She was gentle and it was so funny talking to her. I cant wait to come back. The prices are great for the job they do. Read Less

Super cute nail place that took my 2 friends and I as walk-ins on a cold day!Very clean and I appreciate the emphasis on cleanliness by way of the plastic covering in the tub. Prices are excellent and my nails have totally lasted the longest they ever have. It's been over a week and there's just a little bit of chipping on 2 fingers - unheard ofFor a manicure!My pedicure also looks fantastic!I think $5 is too expensive to remove gel especially when removing from hands and feet = $10. My only complaint. Otherwise good experience after walking out of Bling Nail because of its crowded environment that didn't seem as clean! Read Less

Experienced my first real mani and pedi at this salon. I dropped by w/o an appointment on a Friday afternoon and was promptly taken. Started off with a pedicure which took about 20-30 minutes. It was very relaxing and my technician was very thorough. She also did a great job with the manicure. The color I brought in is a bit difficult to work with and if not done right it can leave streaks. She did a great job keeping the edges clean and no streaks. I'm at day 6 and still no chips. I'm super impressed.The salon is small but very clean and they do a great job. I didn't feel rushed and they were very nice. PSA: Make sure you tip the technicians well. Please don't be cheap. I saw some reviews & figured, why not? So I walked in & got lucky to be taken quickly.  I asked how much for a gel fill-in and was told $30. I thought to myself, nice! (Not really) The nail lady asked me if I wanted to shorten my nails, I said I guess just file them down a little, then painted them with a gel color and got 1 design on 1 finger of each hand. They came out nice, however, why I chose to give 2 stars is because it jumped from $30 to $55. Without mentioning it, (until it came time to pay) I was charged $3 to "shorten" my nails, $15 to paint them and $5 for the "designs" that were just lines. I don't mind paying for hard work, but what turned me off was the misleading cost. If I were explained it is extra to shorten my nails & extra to paint them prior to starting, I probably would've said OK anyway... But to go from $30 to $55 with no explanation as the lady offered to do things that cost extra, felt sneaky to me & so I can't say I'd be back. I have been in other places & never paid for a gel fill-in and then extra to get them painted. Maybe my old salon spoiled me but in any event, I felt cheated. I like this place. It's quiet and they work at a reasonable pace. Not too fast and pay good attention to detail, even smoothing out the surface of my nail. Yes, they speak to each other in Chinese. But i don't find that rude. Then again, I am Chinese. But in my honest opinion, it is very strange to go to an establishment and expect the employees not to speak in their native tongue then brand it as "rude." Will definitely be coming back. I've been trying to find a good, clean, quiet nail place I can go to that's close to home. I know this place has been open a while, but I first went in yesterday. I live two blocks away and thought why not. I got a regular pedicure, a spa package for my feet/legs, and a gel manicure. Shari ( I think was her name) did my pedicure and she was great, and as was Yen, who did my nails. This place has a great color selection for gel and regular which is awesome. Come time to pay, it came out less than I had expected, a nice surprise. I was given a gift for it being my first time there along with the punch card.Will be back! Read Less

I live in the area and had passed by a couple times but after reading a good amount of positive reviews, I had to try them out.I came today (Saturday morning) and was promptly taken. They have a wide variety of gel color polishes. From what I observed in their wall next to each bottle of gel color was a regular polish, I'm guessing the alternative.Keri did my nails, I got almond shaped acrylic with gel color. The customer service is great. However I think the technicians could improve on the painting. I hope the gel manicure will last. The polish is on my cuticles and the French tip is a little crooked.  I also have polish on the side of my nails. May have been an off day, I'm not sure but I won't be revisiting. Read Less

I watched this place open. It's a  super clean, nice atmosphere, the mother daughter combo makes it user friendly and personal. I really like it. Great foot massage, nice color selection. I will be back again for sure. I'm excited to have them in my neighborhood. Read Less
