Nelli is an amazing stylist to say the least...Always does a great job.Even helped me in an emergency when I messed up my hair one week when my hair was getting in my eyes and Nelli made a horrendous mistake into a work of art..Thank goodness..
There are many places to choose to get your hair done,but with this place I get excellent vibes and wonderful service..Very very customer friendly..
I'm so happy with the outcome when Nelli finishes so great..
Extra added benefit is having Boris as a Jeweler.He fixes watches and jewelry and can really fix anything...
Nelli & Boris is what really makes this place what it is..A wonderful spot for hair and great vibes!!!!Thanks Again Great Job!!!!

I went there just as another because as someone here wrote Maria, a wonderful woman whom I knew of my mom. She cut both our hairs and I love her dearly. She is why I go there.

Went there twice for a haircut. One recently during the late spring. I wanted to cut my hair because it was already 3/4 down my back and I didn't really want it layered. My family and I walked in and the man at the front was really pushy trying us to spend more money on styles that we clearly didn't want. The prices are pretty high for your local hair salon. I see normally prices are like up to $30 if not a little more where they charge up to $45 on a simple haircut if not more if you want it washed and dried. The lady who cut my hair did I decent cut however she didn't even dry my hair completely. While I was the there the salon was absolutely silent despite a few more customers being there. Not a very good salon.

Came here for a blow out for prom! Didn't call beforehand for an appointment, but the guy was still kind enough to do my hair on the spot since I was on a tight schedule. My hair turned out beautiful ...
Came here for a blow out for prom! Didn't call beforehand for an appointment, but the guy was still kind enough to do my hair on the spot since I was on a tight schedule. My hair turned out beautiful and the curls lasted throughout the night. I will definitely go back for a haircut and future blowouts. My stylist was kind and very welcoming. Thank you La Mirage!

I am a regular customer. Having lived in the area for over 30 years, I can honestly say that it is a contender. I've been to Christie's and other salons in the area and they have always come up short....
I am a regular customer. Having lived in the area for over 30 years, I can honestly say that it is a contender. I've been to Christie's and other salons in the area and they have always come up short. I am quite happy with La Mirage and will continue using them as they meet my expectations, provide a friendly atmosphere without choking you with products for sale, accommodate my crazy schedule and do a very decent job.

I decided last minute to get my hair done, and no less on a Friday afternoon. I called just because I live close by and decided to give it a chance bc I needed I blow out. I called and they were so accommodating with getting me an appointment. Fatima did a great job washing my hair, felt so good! And Nelly was my hairstylist and I showed her a picture of how I previously have done my hair and in less than half an hour, she did an awesome job. She was gentle with my head while blow drying and honestly I couldn't have been happier with the blow out itself. Will definitely go back!

I arrived at 9:30 am and asked for a haircut. The guy in the front yelled back to two women in the back and one said she could cut my hair. He had me sit in her chair. I sat there watching her continue to talk for about 10 minutes without acknowledging me before finally walking out. I guess they don't need the business that bad! I would have guessed otherwise considering they had about twice as many workers as customers.

The first time I went was great. The second time the woman was not very good and took essentially an hour to practically shave my head. I decided to give it one more try. I went in and was told to have a seat as someone would be right with me. I sat there for about ten minutes while two hairstylists were just standing in the back talking. I would give them the benefit of the doubt and say they were on break had the place not opened an hour ago. I guess they don't need the money! I definitely won't be back!

Love La Mirage! So much so that I am willing to drive to Queens from Manhattan to have Suzie cut my hair. My mom lives in the neighborhood and recommended her to me, and after a disastrous haircut on the Upper West Side, I made an appointment with Suzie, who saved my hair! I will not go anywhere else now -- she (and the salon) is awesome!
