I found this place randomly when I came to visit my boyfriend's family. This place is amazing!! I always tell The owner to open a place in queens. The service is AMAZING. I always feel so pampered when I am here. They also always offer my boyfriend some tea and cookies whenever he doesn't get a manicure and is just waiting for me. I am here visiting from California and I wish I could keep coming here. Great service, friendly staff. Everyone is uniform so it looks professional. A lot of different options for pedicure. They offer drink's and snacks. It was a little more than I wanted to spend but it was worth it. Iris is very good totally recommend her. I'm obsessed with V-Star Nails & Spa. I started coming here a year ago when I had acrylics and needed a good, cheap place to get my fill done. V-Star did it for an excellent price, but what made me a repeat customer was the pride my nail-tech, Kathy, seemed to take in her work.Kathy is a magician. I like to get a 1940's style half-moon manicure, and have near-pointy almond shaped nails. Many salons won't even do half-moon nail painting, let alone do it well. There is only one salon in NYC where they do the half-moon nearly as well, and they cost about 3x as much. And lots of nail techs kvetch or get annoyed when I ask them to keep filing my nails into the shape I like which requires more time and effort than the simple square or round shapes that most people seem to request. Kathy does both perfectly every time, and the only time she seemed even remotely annoyed by my very particular requests was when I came in 15 minutes before closing and they were really squeezing me in.Even after I stopped getting acrylics and just have gel manicures now, the staff is always happy to accommodate my ever-weirder requests (last time I had each nail on my hand painted a different color). They are great at their jobs and perfectionists. The woman who takes the payment is cheerful and pleasant.Is it the most luxurious place in the world? My daughter and I needed a new nail salon..I had read the reviews on Yelp and they were ALL great!! The Salon is a hidden Jem not far from my home. I was traveling pretty far to reach my old nail salon in Islip. So we walk in with no appointment and I come out with a great manicured set of gell fill in Mood colored nails that change with the temperature from dark blue to light AND my daughter comes out with a beautiful SHINY and sparkly chrome set of gell fill in nails. They... gave us free water (or you can have tea), massages during the nail drying and my pedicurist was easy on my feet and wonderful with the massage. I LOVED the place WE WILL be Returning!! The service was wonderful, the manicurists were friendly and the place is quiet and relaxing. Loved my first time! Greeted me as I came through the door. My full set came out beautiful! Even Kathy who did them kept saying how pretty they were. Loved my pedicure.
