This was a great experience!  The location is very lovely and I couldn't be happier with the end result.My mother and I didn't have an appointment but the facility has a full staff so they were able to take us almost right away. Been coming here, pretty much, since it opened and have never had a problem. I was looking for a new salon because the one I went to for years was under new ownership and not the same. Bloom Nail is always clean and the staff is very friendly. Yoyo does such a good job, I had regular manicures that last two weeks! Not gel, a regular mani! I don't know what she did  that made them last so long! Probably not worth calling ahead of time, maybe just to see if they are super busy. I usually still end up waiting a bit even if I have an appointment. Prices I guess are a little higher than other places, but not that much. I never feel like I am rushed or that they are bothered if you don't like a color or want your nails cut shorter. Usually they are honest with you and tell you if they don't like a color, which I appreciate. They also do the new powder gel, if you are in the market for that (not worth it in my opinion, still damages your nails after using it for a while).Bottom Line: Probably one of the best nail salons I have been to in the Bay Shore area. My new found favorite nail salon. The cleanliness really makes the difference but the nails never disappoint either. A little pricier than others in the area but worth the peace of mind. Lots of colors to choose from- regular polish, gel, and powder gel. Gel lasts 2 or more weeks. I've never personally gotten anything too creative but have seen others ask for designs and stickers. I love going to this nail salon! I go there about every two weeks for a gel manicure. I bring in photos from Pinterest and they have no problem executing intricate designs. The staff is very nice and they make you feel welcome. They have an awesome punch card that gives you a complementary 10 min massage after 7 visits. I strongly recommend this place Read Less

Sorry Lindsey, you are a lovely person but the pedicure was not. I'm not sure how best to describe but it was all too gentle (if that's the right word)- very little exfoliation, very little filing, buffing, massaging, etc. Also, it is very rude to stop to answer the phone (4 times) during my service. Went in to get a gel manicure and pedicure on a Saturday morning. Pedicure was ok, but they are very stingy with the polish, as if you are not paying for it. The girl who did my gel manicure did not seal my nails properly. After my service was completed, I intended to tip the person who did my manicure and pedicure separately but the manicurist insisted I tip her 15-20%. I have never had anyone demand a specific tip from me, It was very unprofessional. By Monday my gel manicure was peeling. All in all, it was $65 wasted, I will not return. Read Less

I was in town for a short time and I needed a mani-pedi. I went to Bloom because of Yelp reviews. I am so glad I went! The salon is cute and clean. The staff is very nice. I got a gel manicure and regular pedicure. My manicure was perfect. The manicurist did a great job with shaping my nails. The price was great too! $48 for a gel mani and regular pedi. I've been going here since they opened and absolutely love the quality of product and personalized service that we receive. The owner and staff are knowledgable and friendly. They remember our names and go out of their way to provide excellent service, every single time. The place is super clean, the prices are more than reasonable and the staff actually cares. I come here every 2 to 3 weeks to get my UV gel nails done. Since there are only two women that can do them... I plan ahead and make an appointment a few days before. The staff here are very welcoming and if youre a repeat customer they will eventually know your name lol Its been hard for me to find a good nail place since I moved to Long Island from new jersey. This place does not dissappoint! One thing that does bother me is why bother making an appointment if they take walks ins over appointments? ive made two appointments for times right when they opened. i was 5 minutes late and the girl that does UV gel was doing a fill on someone else so i had to wait almost 45 minutes!! If you confirmed my appointment days ago then you should honor it. I had one appointment in the afternoon and when I walked in and told them that... there was 3 people ahead of me! either you are not good at scheduling appointments and keeping them or you dont know how to time manage appointments. Regular gel manicure was $30 which is way more than I have ever paid. The service was nice but my nails were cut unevenly and they did not try to soften my cuticles before pushing them back. They have a big selection of colors but it was put on unevenly and splotchy. I was unsatisfied with the quality of manicure I received especially for the expensive price. Came in for a mani pedi, no wait. Decent foot/ leg massage with a regular pedi. I got a really light pink polish color and I feel like it would've been better with more than 2 coats. I'm sure they would've done it if I asked. My mani seemed quicker then what I've had at other places. Prices are reasonable and pretty average. They offered about 3 or 4 different special pedi's. 3 of them seemed pretty much the same, just different "scents" like green tea, and chocolate. The polish on my nails lasted a week before chipping. My toes are still holding up 2 weeks later. They also have a "rewards card" with 10 visits, you get a free 10 minute massage! They also do facials which was tempting, as well as waxing.  Service was friendly and welcoming.I think my total was around $36 for a mani/ pedi. I also used the quick dry clear polish (not sure if it was extra) and she asked if I wanted to smooth out my calluses so I don't know if that was extra either. My calluses were also pretty much still there and my feet didn't come out as smooth as they have at previous places. Read Less

Very clean and they always do a nice job.11/27/15 update: This nail salon continues to be my favorite, so I just wanted to add a couple of good experiences I've had here recently.I came in with my mom & bridesmaids before my wedding and we were all very happy with our manicures and pedicures. 7 of us went on a Saturday morning so I was concerned that they might not be able to accommodate us, since the salon is fairly small, but they did a great job. Today I went in with a fractured foot and once again it was a great experience. The staff was so helpful and friendly and they understood my needs. Needless to say I highly recommended this place. Excellent service.. super clean and the staff is so sweet and attentive!  They opened up a few months ago and I have to say I will be a long time customer.  I get a mani every week and I was a customer at another salon on main st for more than 7 years but once they expanded and they drove up their prices.. the service was just not the same and it is always super packed so I was done with that salon.I decided to try bloom salon and I became so comfortable and the service and prices are great! Such sweet ladies! I am now a bloom salon client for life...they have a great polish selection and the pedicure chairs are so comfy! Def a must try if you live in the Bay Shore/Islip area..parking can be a bit tricky some days ,but there is a lot right behind the citibank around the corner. Read Less
