Going back for another pedicure because I was very happy with what I got last month. Great job and good basic service without breaking the bank! Friendly people, and I so appreciated that they accommodated me last time when I had a tight schedule. Went in for a regular mani/pedi and the woman convinced me into getting a gel mani and a pedicure.  Glad she did because the gel mani looked amazing. My feet are still tingling from the nice relaxing Pedicure.  Salon is small with only 3 Pedicure stations so you may have to wait but other than that this place is great and the staff is friendly. I started going to Jennifer nails after the other nail salon I used to go to changed ownership and I'm so happy I did. Jennifer nails has the best GEL mani/pedi around! Manicures NEVER chip or split! last 2 weeks +. The ladies take their time with each client and do a phenomenal job. They do take walk-ins but it's best to call ahead for an appointment! Read Less

I was definitely not greeted warmly here. I called ahead to make sure they weren't busy and was still made to wait while they took their sweet time to set up a pedicure chair for me. I also asked about getting a fill (which I was told was $35; seemed steep to this SF Bay Area girl) and had a lady look over my nails (very much in tact because it's been less than 2 weeks since my last fill) and start discussing over me.I ultimately left because of their rudeness. I can't tell you how they do nails but to be in a run down strip mall in a tiny shop with none of the newer amenities/ambiance that most shops now have, $35 for an acrylic fill seems over board. Just to start off by saying I have never wrote a yelp review in my life before I am a business owner myself and I hate when people bash other businesses but I have to be honest The nail gel  brand they use is amazing makes your nails strong and stay without chipping. The reason I didn't give them five stars and the reason it motivated me to write something  is the lack of friendliness . Not the owner she sweet but her sister  she made me feel very uncomfortable and it's not the first time  I was looking at the colors (polish) and as I was checking them out for my next appointment the lady was hovering over me and every time I picked up a bottle of nail polish she would take it out of my hands . I was like does this lady think I'm going to steal them or what . I told her was looking at them for my next apt I just re booked she said ok but stayed there and when I asked her can she do glitter she said no in my mind I said I have  never heard of anything like this. Then i opened the bottle of nail color to show her the glitter she took it away from my hand and said don't open I was so embarrassed because there was a client in the nail salon overhearing I said OK no problem and I walked out. I gave  her a good tip being I'm in the service  industry . I could've stopped her and said to her she could be a little bit more friendly but to be honest I don't think she would've understood me I'm not sure if it's a language barrier a culture thing but at the end of the day you are in the service industry and their job is to be welcoming and friendly to a client I send a lot of people there for  the little time I've been going there maybe by me writing this they would understand and better her way of dealing with clients . I walked in today after work hoping they weren't busy to get a gel manicure. Luckily an appointment was running late so Joy could squeeze me in. (It's best to make an appointment because these ladies get busy!)Great customer service. Joy was so sweet and asked questions about what i wanted and helped me pick out a color. I loved the way she did my nails and from what I read and saw the other ladies do a great job as well. I like that Joy wasn't rushing and she was detailing each nail so precisely. Thee best gel manicure I've ever gotten and the best part is that they use LED lighting for it.Will definitely become a regular here! All ladies, Joy, Rosa and Tammy were so friendly. This place has horrible customer service. I went for the first time to visit this nail salon based on the great reviews I read. When I walked in they asked me what type of service I needed and she said to sit down. After speaking in her native language to the other workers that was not working another worker came from the back of the nail salon, she told me no we can't take you now. I have someone coming right now. There were two other workers in the nail salon not attending to other customers and she still told me no. They were very rude and nasty with their responses. To continue to have a successful business customer service is one of the key elements if you want to customers to come back in addition to providing excellent service. I was looking for a new place to get my nails done since my old one was doing s horrible job. I read the other reviews on Jennifer Nails and decided to give them a try. So glad I did! Joy gives the best gel manicures and Rosa gives the best pedicure. The gel manicure uses an LED light instead of the UV light and it's great. The staff is so friendly and kind and the salon is clean. Like other reviewers I have been going to this salon for over 10 years and love the ladies working there and the intimate atmosphere. They have an amazing selection of LED polishes which are presented on nail cards so that you don't have to guess what the color will look like on your nails. Rosa is a pedicure wizard that always does a phenomenal job and gives amazing massages. Both Joy and Tammy are perfectionists and pride themselves on your nails looking gorgeous. All of the ladies there have great taste in color choices and will help you make a decision when you need assistance. This is by far the best nail salon in the area and I would not dream of going elsewhere. They always ask about how my family is doing and are just so personable. Read Less

I have been faithfully going to Jennifer nails for 18 years! I can't begin to fully explain how wonderful an experience it is . For the short time I am there I can totally relax and enjoy the peace and quiet as this salon is smaller and more personalized than any I have ever been to . No annoying humming of dryers and disinterested nail techs . joy and Tami are very personable and professional . They do an outstanding job on your nails ( I love the safe LED not UV gel manicure  and Rosa  is unbelievable with pedicures! ) their prices are very fair and they try very hard to accommodate you when you call for an appointment at the last minute . I've been going to this nail salon for over three years now and it is the best! Joy, Tammy and Rosa are fantastic.  They're highly skilled and they're warm, great people. All of the ladies who work there have been doing this for many years. The biggest testament to their skill is this: I get complements on every manicure from random people in stores, trains, at the gym, everywhere. Even as I get to two weeks/three weeks (if I miss an appointment), I still get complements.  I live in Long Beach and travel up to see them because it's worth it. Of my Saturday morning ladies who I see every two weeks, I know that at least 2 of them travel from Queens just to get their nails did here. Rosa, who typically does all of the pedicures, is some sort of wizard. I used to have a lot of pain from the weirdo ways that my toenails grow and she's helped re-shape them so I no longer have pain.  I've heard from a couple of other ladies that they had the same problem--just let her know if something is bothering you and she's on top of it. Also, they're one of the only nail salons around that use LED gel instead of UV Gel. It's supposedly better for you.  I can say, with the exception of my own stupidity, I've never had any manicure chip or peel. I work with horses and do a lot of barn work so that's a huge testament to the quality of their work. Also, when I started coming here, my nails were in poor, poor shape. They're much, much stronger and healthier now than they've ever been.The salon itself is small and not the most modern/fancy of all of the salons around, but I can say I've visited most of the salons in Long Beach and Oceanside and this is by far the best, quality-wise. Make an appointment if you want to see them on Saturday as they get busy (especially in the summertime). this place is the best! the prices are super affordable and they do such a good job. the LED light gel manicures last a long time. mine last around 3-4 weeks!! if you need a great waxing they have that too. i get my eyebrows and upper lip done when i go. love it! Read Less
