I'm currently visiting from Long Island for a wedding and the bridal party went for manicures and pedicures today. I want to start with the positive and say that everyone was very friendly and the shop was beautiful/sterile. I got a normal manicure and pedicure (no gel or acrylics) and 2 toenails and one thumbnail are already messed up (I'll include pictures)!  Additionally, one nail has an air bubble in it. I wore flip flops on an insanely cold day just to make this DIDNT happen to my toes and well, here we are.I'm an adult woman who has more than her share of nail appointments. And I'll be the first to admit there have been times where I've smudged a nail. But i waited under the dryers for a super long time just because i was chatting with my other girlfriends who's nails were drying as well and i didn't put closed toe shoes on until 6 hours later with socks! I had my fingernails done 20 years ago for my wedding. My sister said let's have a girl's afternoon out and get a peticure and nails done and I agreed. I was not prepared for the fantastic job I was going to get. I apsolutely had the time if my life. Yes, I'll be back for sure. Read Less

This salon is really visually beautiful. I HIGHLY recommend Claudia.  She's friendly (she'll talk with you if you want in English!) and she does beautiful work.  I got a gel manicure yesterday with her and it looks gorgeous. Read Less

I went here and waited there maybe 5mins before anyone addressed me. All the women were looking at me like they had never saw a man in a nail salon.  A friendly "Hi, how may we help you?", goes a long way for customers. Especially new ones. Finally, a guy came out, who looked like maybe he was the boss, told them something and I was assisted afterwards.  But at that point it was horrible customer service, and I wasn't impressed. Once I got my nail tech, I think her name was Lilly, things got better. They have nice massage chairs. She was very nice and polite and she did a phenomenal job on my manicure and pedicure. Worst ANC ever!At first glance, things looked good. Place is clean, neat and modern. I had an emergency break and needed my ANC done for an event that night. My normal guy was a 40 minute drive so I decided to cheat with this walkin salon down the road. Big mistake. BIG. The first guy tried to remove my ANC, second guy completed the removal, then a woman sat down to do the actual ANC. She moved quick as lightning through the process which shows. Some nails aren't completely filled, are filed incompletely, she nicked my skin, and I have dried ANC powder on my skin. She told me to go wash my hands and when I came back she was working on the next customer. I said "Am I done" and she said "$35" which I guess meant yes. Paid a ridiculous $35 and got out of dodge. I normally do NOT give anyone a negative review - honest, check - but this experience was so bad that I had to write it for that sake of women's nails everywhere. Read Less

With so many options out there in regards to nail salons in the Capital District I don't seem to understand the draw to Asian nail salons. Other than the pricing and not needing an appointment that is the only attraction. Being a nail professional myself I always look for 5 basic key things? Experience, massage, cuticle/smooth heels, timing and cleanliness. In my visit to Deluxe Nail Spa I would have to say it was not the best experience.  I arrived at 1:15 pm. I ask how long was the wait as I did not have an appointment. The gentleman told me 20 minutes I said okay. As I was waiting another woman came in with no appointment asked for a manicure. Was told the same thing so she waited as well. I was taken back around 1:35 pm. Soaked my feet for well 40 min. While I was soaking the woman who came in after me received her manicure as I was still soaking my feet. My 20 min wait turned into almost one hour. Now during this time I did think about getting up to leave. I have had client leave on me for running 15 min late. But I did not. And that was my choice. So the woman finally came and started my pedicure. She was pleasant and though, but I did not get what I asked for.  I had asked for their Deluxe Spa Pedicure which included scrub, mask and a longer massage. But received their basic pedi.  then was charged $5 extra for the use of the micro plane to reduce callus. She started my pedicure at 2:20 and was polishing by 2:35 15 min!!!!  On to the manicure. She use old files and buffers which in NY state you are supposed to use new files on everyone. I was nipped with the nippers and bled. Then polish application was very sloppy. I was done by 2:50. Again I just don't understand the draw.  The experience was horrible. The cleanness was horrible. The staff was okay but I think it is very rude for them to be speaking their own language among themselves.  But I left the girl gratuity. I rely on them so I know she does as well. My suggestion is you have options. Go somewhere where you are going to get a good experience as well as a good quality service. Just don't go for the price. Just took a chance and went with my daughter for manicure and pedicures. Excellent service, price and the place was nice and clean. Lots of chairs, coming back with. Bridal party and they were more than willing to assist us.  Very pleasant atmosphere and beautiful nails!  Very happy. Went to Lanie's Cafe for lunch right behind it. Great day Read Less

I had just moved to albany and saw the reviews of this salon. So I gave it a try. NEVER AGAIN. $35 to get my nails filled. Then I gave her $40, and she gave me no change. Granted I was going to tell her to keep it as her tip, but she didn't know that! My nails weren't filed down evenly and she nicked my fingers three times.
