The guy I got my nails done from was nice but all the other staff was very rude and unprofessional. The guy actually was going back and forth between me and another customer which I thought was very rude. It took longer than usual because I was sitting there waiting while he finished with the other customer. That really annoyed me. I had an appointment time and they double booked me. The work was good which is the only reason I'd go back but somehow they're always booked so I will be taking my business to a different salon. The quality is good but I don't think it's worth it if you have to put up with the super rude and unfriendliness of the staff. They're not very accomodating. Read Less

Smells like acetone in here. I'm choking, getting a wicked headache. Do people know that these gel nails and acetone are not healthy? Oh, and I watched a doc about nail salons and how the jets in the foot pool...with all the dead skin and bacteria...next time ask for them not put it on. Jus sayin. The owner introduced herself and did my nails. She started whispering to me & talking crap about another customer. I was unimpressed but let it slide. Little did I know she then turned around to work on another woman & I could hear her -- she was talking crap about me now! I don't know what her deal is. Super clean salon, awesome selection of gels and top quality products - this is the only salon I can get a full set at and not have the chemicals burn my hands. I truly love this Salon.  It is very clean, nicely set up and decorated, and all equipment is autoclaved before reusing.  The salon is well run, and the nail technicians are professional and very competent.  It is very enjoyable going there.  All businesses should be run like this one.Above all they are very professional and only have technicians that are also professional. I have been to a lot of nail salons in the past but Nail Time is the best by far. The place is immaculate. The staff is professional, pleasant, attentive to detail and to customers needs. The woman who did my pedicure did not cut my cuticles, left so much red nail polish all over my skin on all 10 toes and did not file my nails down to shape. She also rushed through mine (10 minutes total) to get to her next customer. These ladies play the favoritism card with their regulars, which is not okay for the price I just payed for an awful pedicure that I had to go home and fix myself. It is not worth the price here. I just left your salon, with my grown daughter in tears.  She had her 18 month old daughter in her lap and 4 yr old daughter who stood by her side the whole time.  The little girls had their nails painted while my daughter and I had a gel manicure.  The babies were both perfect gems and really enjoyed having their nails painted and all the customers around them were smiling and enjoying their company as well.  For about the final 2 minutes the 18 month became fussy.  The manicurist next to my daughter loudly apologized to her customer for having to put up with the noise and disrupting her relaxing manicure.  The customer had been smiling and talking to my 4 yr old grand daughter the entire time.  Needless to say, after spending $90 in your salon, only to have my family insulted publicly was an absolute awful experience!!  My daughter was crying when we left.  We will never return there again.  The manicurist that worked on me as well as the one that worked on my daughter did a fabulous job.  The other employee next to them (might also be the receptionist?) is a total snot!! I would also like to add that my daughter had not gone out for a manicure in several years and this was the first time we went out ever with the little girls to have the treat of having our nails done as a family.  I am furious.  The owner replied to my private message very rudely!!!  If this salon were a swanky, zen like spa perhaps we'd feel different.  This place is nothing special with loud pop music playing...NOT the Four Seasons.  I am angry and heartbroken.  They should say up front they are not child friendly.  Never in my life have I had such an awful experience in a strip mall nail salon.  DON'T waste your money or time here!!! This place is one of the best places that I have ever been. And my wife and I have been to a lot! It's has a nice sophisticated look to it, it's calm they have different types of music on the background, they staff here is sooo nice! They make you feel welcomed and they actually talk to you instead of talking to each other unlike other places. They talk in English (which there nothing wrong speaking a different language) but it doesn't make you feel insecure and keep you wondering if the staff is talking about you or not. Clean, well organized, and new, this salon is a step above some in Santa Fe. My technician, however, rushed through my mani-pedi, and was not friendly at all. However, I noticed two other women who were very friendly, so go there and see who you like. I was very disappointed in my leg & arm massage that felt more like icing a cake rather than a real, in depth touch that I have come to expect elsewhere. And the paint job was sloppy. I'll go back, but will ask for someone else and perhaps give Nail Time a higher rating then. They do offer coffee and tea, but I was never offered any and didn't see it until I left. I used this salon a couple times and would have become a regular. They were quick, thorough, and did a good job. The 3rd time I went, I signed in and NO ONE even spoke to me or inquired what service I wanted. I waited for THIRTY minutes, then left. I will not go back. I live in Los Angeles but was visiting family for a bit this summer in Santa Fe. I have been to this salon maybe 3 or 4 times, and each time it gets worse. The owner is very unfriendly, and looks down on the customers. The technicians are constantly getting up during your manicure to do unrelated things, or to talk to another manicurist. They talk to one another constantly, making jokes at the customers expense. They lie to the customer all the time. I have been to many great salons who do nail art - they lie and say those are stickers and that it is impossible to do by hand - well sorry - that is not true - I've had it done!They also lie, saying sprinkle glitter cannot be used on gel, I've had that done so many times perfectly at other salons. If you don't provide a service, then just be honest saying you don't know how - don't lie - you're customers are not stupid!Worst part is that they do a bad job on basic manicures. Gooey application of gel polish - putting it on ultra-thick. Mess at the cuticles, I bled last time when they trimmed my cuticles, and I politely said 'oh, I think i'm bleeding", the manicurist didn't do a thing about it - didn't even react. I just called about 2 possible appointments for this Thurs.  The woman who answered, condescendingly informed me that there are not two appointments at the same time.  Then I asked, well what about single appointment times? She then laughed and said well there isn't' any appointments that day.  I asked about Friday, she again condescendingly said, "they have their regular clients in the mornings, so ya there isn't' anything open." I'm a business owner in Santa Fe and I'd never laugh at someone who is asking about my availability. Today was my second visit to Nail Time. They have well over 200 gel/shellac colors to choose from. I have never seen so many choices at one salon. They also have a wide selection of acrylic colors, but I always go for gel. Service is very professional and my nails are perfect! Suggestion: if you go on a Saturday, make an appointment or you may wait a while depending upon the crowd. Definitely the best nail salon in Santa Fe, hands down! Read Less

I'm from out of town and asked to make an appt at 9:30 not knowing their hours and never having been there. I was told to come in at 9:00 as it would work better for them. I showed up and waited for 15 minutes looking at the door which says they open at 10:00 thinking they must be opening early to accommodate my schedule. I know I'm the dummy here...but when I called to let them know about the snafu they argued with me saying they would NEVER have said 9:00. I made an appointment to get my first full set of pink and white solar nails about 2 weeks ago. Hearing they had won 'Best In Santa Fe' in the past years, I had faith that they would do a good job. They did and so much more! They saw to me promptly, and my manicurist, Antonio, was super friendly and informative about the pros and cons of solar nails. He did a wonderful job, my nails looked perfect! The salon was very clean and pretty, and the whole staff was great! Chatting and cooing over the salon's resident yorkie, Bella. Overall, a great experience!What impressed me even more was that that night, I ended up filing them down a bit, and for some reason, a piece of my right index finger nail cracked off. Ekk! I went in that next morningb and they fixed it gladly. I was fully prepared to pay, since it was my mistake. Nope! They insisted that I didn't need too! Omg that made my day! Nice, clean establishment, pleasant, friendly environment.  It was an enjoyable place to visit.  I had an appointment, and they saw me right on time.Got a good pedicure that's holding up well.  But the manicure wasn't quite the attention to detail that I expect, and it started peeling around the edges as soon as I showered the next day.  That shouldn't happen.I would go back - maybe another technician will do better on the manicure - but I wouldn't make it a regular stop, and I'll keep looking for the right manicurist for me.  Still, if you just need your nails to look good for a date or an interview or something, this is perfectly okay.Prices are quite low and polish color selection is very good. The most impressive part is seeing them pull out a clean, new set of implements thats been sterilized in a pouch for every client.
