Horrible experience. Don’t go. BELIEVE all negative reviews...as I had most all the same experiences going there. Rude, pushy, not honest about pricing, and worst of all crappy/rushed results! (Two gel nails started lifting up after five days) I was only to be charged a bit over 35.00 and ended up paying over 60.00...& then while leaving a tip she got as close to me as she could put her arm around me to pressure me into leaving a good tip. She had been rude most of the time until that moment. She even slapped my arm at one point! And the Uv light BURNED BADLY and she kept pushing my hand further in anyway! I have been to nail works more than 10 times and have been okay with the outcome. I got there with my 2 friends and on one of my friends she told her multiple times that she wanted regular nails and the lady started to give her acrylic nails. I sat down and the guy started to give me gel nails. As I was sitting there the guy kept getting mad at me for not keeping my hands seperated. He said it in a very mean tone. The guy started to kinda do his own thing with doing polka dots on my nails. After I was done I had to go dry my nails and he grabbed my Personal belonging without my permission. So as I sat down my other friend said she had got her nail messed up because the lady had grabbed her hands. She asked another man to redo her nails and he said in a rude tone “no ask the lady that did it before.” So my friend was gonna ask the other lady to redo her nails. I told my friend I would ask with her and the guy grabbed my backpack and pulled it. He made me sit down and told me that I need to sit down and listen to him. So my overall experience was not okay. I wish I could give 0 stars. I walked in and asked for a pedicure and I was told to sit and it'd be a few minutes. 45 minutes later, my service started. They sat a lady next to me and immediately started her pedicure before mine. Wtf? I'm like ok whatever it's Saturday they're busy. I turn on my back massager and the lady was so mad and started yelling at me. She then soaked my feet and clipped my nails. The paint job is terrible. It looks like a kindergartener painted my nails. I could've done a better job myself, honestly. I have never not tipped when getting my nails done and today I did not tip. Everything did not seem clean or sanitized at all so I'm hoping I don't get some kind of infection or disease. Don't waste your time here. Read Less

I walked in, sat down for about 15 minutes. Got say in the chair and started my fills, sign posted $15 fills. I just got fills, no polish, but I did upgrade my acrylic to sparkles. Nails look great.  The man just wiped my nails off and polished. No chance to wash before polish, them asked me to wash after the set was all done.  Them came time to pay, $32.50 he said.  I'd say that was quite the jump for sparkles. Read Less

First nail place I've been to since being in Cruces! Tony was great! No one was rude. It was a little dirty and old but they get the job done. I made sure to show a picture of what I wanted and ask how much. They were true to what they said. I'm only giving 3 stars since I don't know how long my gel nails will last. My experience was HORRIBLE I will never go back to this place. The man was extremely rude and gave me a mediocre 4 min pedicure! I couldn't believe it! There was no difference in my feet. I asked if he was going to finish the pedicure and he said he just gave me the basic pedicure. And I would have to pay 5 dollars more for him to finish! I told him price didn't matter that I just wanted the service done right! He was so rude and I felt very uncomfortable so I just told him to finish painting my nails. I told him I wasn't going to pay for the pedicure just him painting my nails. So when he finished he charged me 27 dollars for the pedicure! This place is horrific!! Read Less

I've been going here for years. By now, I know who's good and when not to go. I like it here. I read the reviews about them being rude but I've never experienced that. Don't go towards the end of the week as that's when they get real busy. Nancy is one of the best at waxing. Read Less

I came in to get a basic manicure. They got me and my friend in right away on a Saturday. No wait (bully to them!), though we weren't able to sit together. That was fine with us, though. The technician was polite, but not chatty (which is not a problem for me). My nails came out looking perfectly fine but I felt like my experience here was a bit inconsistent with previous manicure experiences I had had elsewhere in the past. I'm not certain exactly how consequential these discrepancies are, but here they are, nonetheless...For one, the manicurist really only had me soak one hand throughout the manicure. She did not treat my nails with cuticle cream in advance of trimming the cuticles (or after) as past manicurists have. She did not have me wash my hands before applying nail polish. And I didn't really get much of a hand massage with lotion so much as a gentle application of oil on my forearms after my polish had already been applied. I spent 5 minutes with a fan on my hands and no time under UV light, and the sign outside advertised manicures as costing $14, yet I was charged $15 (which I didn't challenge, largely because I'm a door mat). I thought it was a bit odd that they offered me the option of paying for my manicure half way through, stating that it would make it less likely that I would mess up my nails fiddling with my purse that way. *shrug* Whatevs. I did it but still think it's a little unusual.None of these things were particularly offensive to me, and had the manicure been even $2-$3 cheaper I would feel I was probably getting exactly what I paid for. The results of the manicure are perfectly adequate. But when I splurge for any kind of nail care I want to feel a bit more pampered as I consider it something of a treat for myself.If you are in a hurry and need a quick manicure, this place is fine. If you want to feel pampered, you might look elsewhere. Read Less

Horrible rude. Bad service I went in to get a manicure and horrible painting and I wasn't even done and they were already charging us. A 3 year old could have done a better job. Had to go home and redo. First and last time I will ever go there. Better nail salons in town. Also on my daughters mani they only painted half of the nail. Read Less

Absolutely the worst!   I almost walked out and should have, got a full set and was going to get a pedicure as well but I've learned over the years to always get nails first and watch them doing pedis.  GROSS GROSS GROSS. they wiped down the bowls with the towels that were used under the customers feet, never did I see them sanitize the bowls.  EwwwwwAlso, I left with three painful cuts on my fingers due to the rough handling.  ABSOLUTELY the worst.  Wish I had not trusted the person who told me they were good.  Sigh Read Less

TERRIBLE SERVICE!!  Do not go see the older lady that works for this salon!  I am from out of town and I dropped in on Saturday, February 6, 2016 for a pedicure and gel manicure.  She was rude and hateful throughout the entire service.  During my pedicure she had me soak off my old gel polish and once done, she handed me the tool to finish chipping off the old polish!  Ummm...last time I checked lady this is your job!  After two hours and several polish corrections she was finally done.  Oh, did I mention that she jerked my hands around throughout my manicure because she was so irritated that I kept asking her to make corrections to her work.  On my way to pay, I stopped another technician and asked to speak to a manager.  There wasn't one available at the time so I told him how poorly I had been treated for the past two hours.  He apologized and went to speak to her.  She changed her tune as I was paying $65 for her crappy work and kept telling me how beautiful I was and patting my arm while admiring my earrings.  Too late lady and needless to say she didn't get a tip.  I went to see my nail technician last night to have her change the polish on my hands and feet.  She was mortified at the sight of both.  To the consumer...do not allow the older lady at this salon provide you service.  Even if she is the only one available, wait for somebody else!  To the salon owner...fire this lady!  She's hurting your business. I will NEVER go back .. After several visits thinking it would get better as a regular customer (being new to LC) i have finally had enough  every visit i have felt the employees were rude but just thought it was a language Miss comunacation thing ...and chose to let it go and not to mention the sloppy job they did ..this time i Actually decided to open my mouth and tell them i did not like the way it looked ( a Design on 1 nail) i was nice and just asked him to change the color to match my other hand. He Yelled at me, he yelled out loud and told me that I was being to pickie  lol  I could not believe his reaction the manger came over asked what was going on but did not appoligize    My 40$ Pedicure was horrible  french lines are all diffrent sizes looks like i did them my self  lol. My hands look just as bad. 78 dollars total for a mess. SAVE your money take my word for it ...  go to another place  i looked on the wall for his licences to get his name  could not find his picture .  was told that not everyone that works there is licenced.  ? ????    Also i got charged diffrent prices at every visit. I've given Nailworks two attempts and I won't be going back.  On my first visit I was so unhappy with my mani/pedi I went home and fixed them myself.  I decided to give a pedicure another try and was just as disappointed.  They don't take the time necessary to make sure they've done a decent job.  I felt like I was being rushed and their work definitely reflects that!  People I know suggest this place but they didn't impress me at all.
