I flew in on business and thought a manicure was needed.  This nail salon was near my hotel.  I called around 5 pm for an appointment and they said they could do it at 6:30 pm.  When I arrived, all the technicians were still with other customers.I'm giving them 5 stars for two reasons:  1) I got an excellent manicure; 2) they stayed late, but didn't make me feel rushed which I appreciated.  I got out about 7:30 or so. I had a wonderful experience with Tina today at Venus nails. She took so much time on my pedicure and was so detailed that I decided to get a gel manicure and eyebrow wax as well. It was well worth every penny (even though this place was incredibly reasonable in price anyway). My spa pedicure, gel manicure and eyebrow wax was $51. I noticed the entire staff, who are all family, were all just as mindful and detail oriented as Tina. If you're in a rush- this isn't the place for you. They really take the time to ensure your nails will not only look great, but will last. It was indeed very clean, the service very friendly and not rushed though we came in without an appointment close to closing time, and the chairs good quality. The staff seemed to enjoy their work and spent more time on each of is than we are used to at other nail salons. The price was very reasonable especially for the amount of time they spent with us. I will say the staff is very nice. The first time I came I got a full set and it came out completely different than how I asked. Came back a week later because the color started chipping right away and my shape was very uneven. They charged me $30 to fix their mistakes. Giving them the benefit of the doubt I needed another full set about a month later so walked in explained exactly what I wanted she looked at me and told me I am too young for what I want and I walked out with something totally different than what I had asked for. This is my favorite nail salon for gel manicures and pedicures. The prices are reasonable and my nails last me forever. Tina and Kim keep their place very clean and bright with updated furnishings. It's hard to get in and out quickly, even with an appointment, but being in a hurry to get your nails done is a contradiction requiring services in another category entirely. I just go for the basics, but I think this place is the best in the neighborhood, and I've tried them all. Read Less

This is easily my favorite salon in Albuquerque. I always feel welcome and comfortable. My gel manicure lasts at least 3-4 weeks. I recommend this salon to all my friends and family. I would advise to make an appointment, as they only have 3-4 individuals working on a given day. Read Less

Really clean work and spot up my street. I came in without an appointment for a gel pedi and regular mani (no color, just cleanup) around 2 on a Monday. I was seated in a spa chair promptly but I waited easily 20 minutes for someone to start on me. It would've been nice to know how long the wait would be, I could've run an errand and come back. That was a little off putting and I didn't get out of there til about 430 which is ridiculous for a mani pedi, def shouldn't take so long. I'll be back here but only if I know I have time to lag. I had some time before my flight and they were open pretty early. I walked in at 10 am without and appointment and was immediately helped by Tina. She tried a couple colors for me so that I could pick the right shade. She checked with me to make sure that the nail length and shape was what I wanted, before, during and after shaping. She took great care with the cuticles and didn't hurt me or cut me at all. The massage was also excellent. She spent a long time on my hands and arms and even added a second coat of lotion for more massaging without asking. She knew I had to go to the airport so she applied quick dry as a base to bond the nail polish and on top of the top coat to expedite the drying process. Service was great. I was pampered for just under an hour and the manicure was less than $12. She deserved a big tip! Clean facilities. Ample parking. Tools were not individually packaged/sterile but she wiped it down with alcohol before use. Read Less

Ok finally my awesome review of this unbelievable nail spa is waaaay over due. Why now you ask?  Well  I'm pretty confident since I'm a regular and I know the busy days and times I'm guaranteed to get in. The 5 spa chairs, and 6 nail stations keep this friendly and extremely professional salon busy. Attention to detail should be the name vice Venus Nails. Located in a strip mall it's quite with mellow low music and two TVs with captions on for those of us who multi-task with iPhones and yelp reviews reading the news or watching day time tv. They also take care of waxing needs and offer gift certificates for your bestie. 100% 5 shiny stars! Read Less

The employees were Very nice, they pay lots of attention to the customers (unlike many nail salons). I have been to a lot of nail salons that were way more expensive and are not near as good as this place! A good example of this is club spa and nails. Read Less
