My first instinct told me to leave but then when they put the plastic liner in the foot tub, I was like "okay I can ignore the unsanitary look to the area." Then I had to take my feet out of the water after feeling an "electric shock" feeling in my feet??? Strange but no one was around to tell, they just left me there. Actually turned off the massage in case that was the reason. So I thought maybe it was just in my head and I put my feet in the water again, no shock this time but after a 30 minute wait, water getting cold, nothing even in the water to make it a pleasant experience, no explanation ~I got up to leave. Love this place. I had my first set of acrylics in December and they looked amazing, I’ve had them I filled twice and just had them removed today. I can’t believe how healthy my natural nails are after acrylics, I thought they would be ruined but they were removed with care and I’m left with healthy natural nails which are the longest they have ever been. Great service, always prompt and with a smile. I get the signature pedi because they rub my feet and legs with hot stones. Reasonable prices too. Will not let any one else touch my feet. I have done my nails here for many years and have referred a lot of my own clients. This past weekend I went to take my mother for her birthday. But this experience override any good feelings I had about this place. They took my acrylic nail off while taking my own nail. I was in pain and bleeding everywhere. I asked the manager to come and have him take off the rest of my nails himself. This is when he proceeded to make jokes with the 2 other workers aside him. As I am in pain they are laughing and making jokes. On top of that they didn't offer any discount for my discomfort that I know I will feel for a couple of days. I also work in environment where customer service shall always be a 100%. This was no way in shape or form to treat any client. This was my first visit, and I had an amazing experience. I came with my bridal party to get our nails done for my wedding, and Wendy, the owner, surprised us with champagne, cute signs made by her husband, and snacks. It was so special and thoughtful, and Wendy went out of her way to make us feel welcome and at home. She got to know all 6 of us by name and treated us like royalty. I could tell that Wendy cares about her clients and is proud of her work and her business. She practices all of her nail art and stays up-to-date with latest. As for the nails, all 6 of us loved ours! Wendy and her crew do all sorts of special nail art including chrome, holographic, glitter, and she even made me a special accent bridal nail with pressed foil. i went here twice within three months. the first experience was awful but i thought maybe it was the technician. i went back 2 weeks ago and asked for another tech. same experience. she cut my nails too short and crooked. glopped on about 5 coats of cheap nail polish. they also rush through the process. i left with clumpy nails and i was embarrassed to have my nails looking like they did after i left this place. they staff is not really friendly either. i will not be going back. One of the worst experiences at a nail salon. I tried it out after moving to the area and will never return. They rush through the whole experience, poor customer service, they pay attention to everything else but your nails which lead to them being all different shapes and sizes, no preparation, no soaking, no cuticle care, very unsanitary, i don't have anything good to say about this place. I spoke with manager/owner about a bad experience and showed him what was obviously a botched job and he could care less! I would never recommend this place to anyone, another dissatisfied customer! Waited 10 minutes for the tech to actually sit down in front of me. The whole time (over 1 hour) she was on the phone ignoring my requests. I asked her multiple times if she could get my nails done in less than a hour because I was on my lunch break and she didn't even bother to answer. After being there for over 1 hour a left there with a crappy full set of nails that was breaking on the corners, without her filing my nails and no nail polish. I used to come here often because I was a "broke college student" trying to save money. It's cheaper then other salons in the area. However, with a cheaper price tag comes bad service and bad quality. The employees are rude, unfriendly and have too many personal conversations. I also do not think this place is very clean. It just gives off a negative vibe.The final straw was when a male associate would not stop talking while doing my nails. As a result, he paid very little attention to the work he was doing and I was left with a disastrous looking gel manicure. There was polish all over the sides... I literally think I could have put the polish on better myself. My nails were weak from the over filing and overuse of the electric nail file thing (not sure what it's called!) When I went to a nearby salon to get it fixed, they asked what nail salon had messed up my nails so badly. Had my nails done here today and I'm not typically one to complain but the staff were very rude and the lady kept aggressively tapping my hand every time she wanted me to move. I have been coming to happy nails for a while now. Recently I went in and got a full set (gel) pink and white. #1 I asked for the dark pink and did not get that. While the guy was doing my nails I told him I wanted the dark pink. He acknowledged my request. When he was half way done I noticed that it wasn't the dark pink I wanted, it was lighter. He still insisted that it was the darker pink. I have gotten it before and I know it wasn't. I told him I didn't have the time to fix it now. #2 Not even 1 week later and 3 of my nails broke. And a couple days after that a total of 6 of my nails broke. With a new set of nails this should have never happened! #3 Today May 17th, 2017 I called and spoke to Rich the owner. Who I have known for about 10 years from a previous location in Fair Lawn that he worked at. I explained the situation and asked him before I went to the location as to what he was going to do for me. That if he wasn't going to do anything for me, I would go somewhere else. He explained that he was going to fix it. I made an appointment for 5 pm. I got there early at 4:45. Helen who is amazing was dealing with another client. She didn't start my nails till 5:25. I had to get back to work for 6pm. After she was finish she said ok it's $40. I WAS COMPLETELY SHOCKED! I explained that I talked to Rich and he was going to fix everything. She then says ok $30. Then Rich all of a sudden woke up from the nap he was trying to take in a seat where they do pedicures says you said it was 3 nails. I had to pay the $40. I have no problem in doing so. However, to do right by your clients is the most important thing. I will not be returning to this establishment nor will the people I know return.Read Less

This is my 2nd visiting Happy Nails! First time was for a full set that I was extremely happy with. So I went back today to try out the pedicure. A regular pedicure is priced at $20 and if you get gel polish its $10 more. No problem. So the girl does the most basic pedicure I have ever gotten even at $20. Stingy leg and foot massage. I go pay and they charge me $45!! I question it and its$10 for gel $30 for crappy pedi and $5 to remove the gel polish!!!! Never in my life have I paid to remove gel polish when its accompanied by a full on pedi!!! I will go back for nails but I'll continue to go to Eden Nails in woodland park for amazing pedicures for the same price!! Read Less

I am a regular to the salon and normally i am left really satisfied. This evening, i went and i left feeling really rushed with hardly any communication. The two staff members were just talking amongst themselves, i was only spoken to when asked about my nails. When choosing a gel colour i felt rushed and i think it was all because they wanted to be finished by 6. I am in the hair trade and find myself working over time. I used to go to another location that was pricer and found this spot that's cheaper and closer to home. My mom and sister went a few times. I've probably went 4 times in total so far. At first I thought it was good. My regular spot does soaks and really pays attention to shaping and prepping the nail. Here it depends on who you get. They never really do any prepping except for shaping. Some of the nail techs will do your cuticles others will just do a bit. They have a pretty nice selection of gel colors. A gel color is $25. The last two times I've went my nails have started cracking after not even a week. I let it go the first time but this time my nails started cracking 2 days later. If I'm spending money to get my nails done at your salon I shouldn't have to deal with them cracking so soon. My mom and sister also had the same problem with their nails as well. My nails at other salons wouldn't start cracking until 2-3 weeks later which makes more sense. The last time I got a bubble in one of my nails and obviously I wanted her to fix it and she got mad. If I'm paying you to do my nails they should obviously be done right. They also make it so obvious they talk about you when you complain about something. The nail techs are also always too busy looking around and talking to each other instead of paying attention to doing your nails. They rush through it and you can tell. It's definitely not a relaxing time at the spa. It's small and crowded. You have to squeeze between seats trying not to accidentally hit into someone's chair ruining their nails. I had a nail salon i went to for years. When it shut down i spent years trying out new salons trying to find one i love. I worked at Bobs Discount Furniture 2 years ago and say Happy Nails all the time. I finally decided to go one day after work and fell in love. It wasnt until a few times going there that i met Kelly. I am not lying when i say she is the best iv found in years. Kellys always so patient with me. I am always 100% happy after i go there. Kellys understands what i want and always has excellent advice. I am so disappointed in this place. I had pink and white gels.... The initial set done by Minh was great, I was very pleased. Went back for a fill and he wasn't there so had someone else do it - horrible! My nails ended up being all different lengths and widths, bumpy and uneven. I had to go back and have them fixed by Minh the next day. Went in to have my nails taken off and get a manicure - sooo painful! All they did was clip the tips off my nails and used the plastic tip to slide between my nail and the gels to pry the gel off!! The "manicure" was letting my fingers soak in soapy water for 2 mins while the other hand was filed. No lotion, no massage. Again my nails are all uneven and they are so sensitive and painful from the way the gel was taken off. I been going to Wendy for a few years! Followed her to her new salon that she now owns! Had a problem 2x since they moved and she is now an owner! Doesn't take the time anymore to do the work properly. Had gotten my nails done 3 days prior and they gel peeled off. She clearly had an attitude and I still charged to me to repaint them. Which I didn't mind paying until she raised her voice and started yelling at me in front of her staff and customers! Will never be back to this salon again! I don't get manicures anymore but when I did go here for that, I remember them as being fine enough. What I do go here for is an eyebrow wax. I've never been disappointed with the actual wax. I get in quick and who ever is doing the waxing always does a great job and I've never had to worry about a bad job. However, when I used to go they would put some soothing lotion or gel around my brows to calm the redness and it felt great. They don't do that anymore. But since they've stopped doing it for me, they did do it for my boyfriend who went in for an eyebrow wax. And today (day of posting this) after the wax the women told me to go home and put cold water on my face. A bit disappointing that they can't take two seconds to really finish off my waxing. I'm sure there's better places, but this place is close to me and I've never been dissatisfied with the ultimate result. So I'll stick with it. Read Less

Ive been coning here for a while for gels and pedicure. On March 19 i went in to get my nails done and pedicure as usual, for my wedding planning office grand opening! I sat in for a pedicure , had my feet dipped in water and nails cut down. I looked at the time and realized ill be late to my party. I kindly asked if i can leave and come back when i can. They said yes but you have to pay! No problem , but when i came back they charged me again 20$  because the pedicure girl is not there to verify my story lol. Really so im lying? Manager assured me i will be compensated next time. Next time came and when i came up to pay and get my price adjusted or credit Manager said ill give you 4$ credit out if the 25 i paid with tip. Really , they didnt care i was upset, didnt care about the customer. They dont think im entitled to my credit. Then she told me that its because i got my feet soaked. I had 2 new friends come with me and now and now they lost 3 customers . Really FOR 16$ YOU LOST A CUSTOMER. WISH I CAN GIVE THE 0 STARS! Just Nasty! I came in here to get a manicure today, just a standard, everyday, run of the mill manicure.  I was seated quickly, but as soon as I sat, the woman doing my nails made a phone call and sat on her iPhone for a minute before finally greeting me.  She somehow found the time between screaming remarks at other employees to ask 3 times throughout the manicure if I wanted gel, to which I said no thank you.  Before beginning the polish, she asked again, which I thought was both rude and pushy.  At this point, I underwent quite possibly the worst polishing job of all time, with obviously thinned nail polish that streaked because of how much it had been diluted.  I somehow had not had enough to send me running, so I followed her to the back to have my eyebrows waxed.  She pointed to the table, which was soiled and uncovered.  I waited, and after a minute of staring from her to the table and back again (a move I learned from my dog when he wants to be fed), she finally spared a tiny square of table paper (seriously tiny, did not even cover my torso).  The wax was sub-par at best, but probably the best part of the experience.  I will not be coming back. Okay, after I got the white nails done, pictured above, I figured I would try them again for a gel.  I've been coming here for years and they actually USED to be good. Let me start off by saying that you won't come here and relax because they really love screaming across the salon to have conversations with each other.  Maybe it's just me but I don't think it's professional to be screaming to someone while you're doing a customer's nails.  I sat in the front and halfway through my manicure someone came in and requested the girl doing my nails.  They didn't tell the lady she had to wait, nope, the girl got right up to do the other lady's nails and another girl came to finish mine.  Not only is this rude but, again, unprofessional and this is not the first time this has happened here.  They rush whatever they're doing and then try to get you to get more done so they make more money.  I'm done here.  I'll go somewhere where they don't scream in your face, take their time, and actually care about their customers. Seated quickly everytime. Giving this a 4 star because they do rush on your nails, prices are fair but you get charged for every little detail. For example: shape of your nail they charge extra unless its square and 12$ extra for gel. At other salons they charge 5$ for gel. I have been coming here for 6yrs and I will never go anywhere else! The best prices, great quality, friendly staff, I have never had an issue. I never make an appointment, I will see anyone because they are all great, and over the 6yrs I've been coming here I can count on one hand how many times I had to wait longer than 5min. I have been going to this nail salon for a long time and today I got cut by the manicurist pretty badly. My finger began gushing blood, filling up an entire tissue while most of the staff sat around unhelpful. The manicurist casually apologized and offered to put powder on the cut. I kept saying that I needed to stop the bleeding. They took zero precautions when it came the blood being practically everywhere, and then when I asked for an accident report form or a manager they just said "it was an accident." They told me to call a doctor or go through insurance THEN proceeded to say they "were going to discount me but didn't like how I acted." Repeatedly I told them I understand that it was an accident but that is not the way a business should handle an accident. I wanted a report on file in case of infection, I will be pursuing a law suit. Still they did not care and charged me $30.
